Corrupt People's Power In The US

Power is a heady thing. It can enslave the minds of a single man or an entire empire. As human beings, we naturally like to be in control. But most times, power comes with a price. Power will corrupt anybody by putting power of family and forgetting your morals.

Possessing a certain amount of power is not a bad thing. It is the love for power and the desire for more that ends up eventually destroying one’s mind and body. The desire for power corrupts one’s mind and will cause them to make decisions that will result in the destruction of theirs and other’s futures.

Being president probably isn’t the easiest job. Here are some of my views on President Trump and Obama. There are many comparisons and differentiations between them. In a few days Donald Trump will become our president of the United States. Between Obama and Trump they are so much different Obama is a whole different person from Trump. I realized so much in these two from their speeches they did,from the way they talk, body language, and how they act around the press. I realized and i always knew that Trump would never make a good president just from speech. I have always liked Obama he did amazing things for us, he changed so many things in the US i am glad he was our president.

I believe the Constitution is too vague. The dilemma lies in the details or lack of details. If the objective is free speech, it is much easier to just simply say free speech then to try and express every single instance where free speech is and is not allowed. While vagueness does allow for flexibility, it also allows some corruption, but corruption only comes from those who abuse the system. One example of corruption is in December 2005, the American Civil Liberties Union reported what they believed was one of the worst abuses of the Constitution since 9/11, the National Security Agency tapped into telephone calls of American citizens without a warrant, which violates the Fourth Amendment.

People of power have the ability to protect the weak, enforce a moral code, and contain any outbreaks of anarchy there might be. However, as stated previously, when corrupt individuals rise to power they have the ability to destroy the weak, enforce their own personal agenda, and allow for immoral groups to run amuck. As the past has shown, when these evil men gain any form of power they tend to abuse it. We can all look at the actions of Adolf Hitler, Joseph Stalin, Kim Jong-Un, and Saddam Hussein, who all in their own way have abused the power given to them by the people. Some by imprisoning their own population, some by allowing millions to die of starvation so they could redirect money towards their own well being or agenda, and some by attempting to single handedly annihilate certain groups of

Unfortunately, this is not the case. The Supreme Court decided in Citizens United v. Federal Election Commission that companies and Super PAC’s could donate unlimited amount of money to support candidates. The Citizens United ruling has caused increased political corruption in the United States by giving candidates the money they need to win an election while changing policies that would be beneficial to the company.

Sometimes people get so caught in their desire for power, that they begin to lose focus of the true things that matter. When someone has power,

Both of these presidents, former and current, have opinions on what America should be moving towards, to better the country. These presidents have both done their fair share for this country already, though Trump has only been in office for a year, while Obama has been in office for a full term, then was re elected for another. They both, though, like all things, have many similarities and differences, these things are likely affected by their party, and mindset, along with their personality. The sane are usually attracted by other things than power.” This quote means that not everyone can be corrupted, but sometimes, people are too weak to handle the pressure. Additionally, power comes in many forms, but one way that really stands out is when it boils down to influence on other people. Furthermore, in real life and in novels, power often corrupts people and characters. In both the novels Lord of the Flies by William Golding and Catcher in the Rye by J.D Salinger, power has the ability to bring out the worst qualities in human nature in the antagonists, a concept that can be also be applied.
