Compare and contrast of The French Revolution and The American Revolution

The American revolution and the French Revolution are two major incidents happened in the 1700s, which had intense social impacts on both French and American societies. In general, the American Revolution was more successful than the French revolution. The similarity between them is that the citizens in both countries, both faced the block of economic development of the government. However, there is a difference that makes the American revolution succeeded while the French revolution doesn’t. In America, England charged taxes incredibly high among a lot kinds of goods, such as tea and sugar. The tax rate of America of these goods is much higher than the goods in Britain. A British company named East India Company, has a monopoly on tea and sold the tea at a really high price, which had really negative impacts to the capitalists that sells tea in America directly. Since these goods are necessary for a majority group of the Americans, the colonists had more and more expensive life due to the coming out acts which made their life getting poorer and made capitalism hard to develop at the time. In France, the government only taxed the lowest class, the third estate while no tax was set among the fist and second estate. Additionally, the tax was really high for these third estate people while they already had little without paying taxes. Those third estate citizens attempted to change, but since they only had 49% of the votes, they never succeeded which enraged them. The taxes were so high to those lower class people, but the monarch family basically did nothing helpful to the social development. They basically spent all this money on their own luxurious life while contributing nothing to the society.
