My car and my truck are complete opposites of each other on paper, but there are some similarities they share. The truck is a blue 1974 Chevy C10, and the car is a red 1998 Chevy Cavalier. In my opinion my car is safer, but the truck is cooler. I will be contrasting the body styles, the safety features, and the technical differences. I will also be comparing the basic features. First of all, the body styles are completely different. Well, the truck has a blue body with a “body-on-frame” type of construction. It also has a two piece body, the cab and the bed. The car has a small, red, stream line body designed for aerodynamics. It has a “uni-body” design, meaning the body and the frame is one thing. “body-on-frame” means that the body sits on the frame and is removable. Secondly, the safety features on the car are vastly superior to the ones on the truck. The car has breaking points all over its body, so that in a wreck it will be damaged worse to soften the impact. The truck just has a rigid steel body designed to stay intact, while that’s better for repairs, it’s not better for injuries. My car also has airbags, anti-lock brakes, and a three point seat belt. The truck has a two point seatbelt also known as a lap belt. The car is remarkably safer. …show more content…
The “V” shape helps with making the engine smaller while keeping the same amount of power and torque, while the truck has an inline 6 cylinder, meaning the cylinders are in a straight line making just a little bit more power and torque than just a regular “V6”. The car is fuel injected indicating that the fuel in injected into the engine on start up and allows it to make better performance. The truck has a carburetor, helping it to put fuel in the
This truck includes wider fender flares and an upgraded Fox shock system to handle some of that rough off roading the driver will be doing. Towing is a big key factor these days. The truck’s towing capacity is always advertised in their commercials. Ford offers a 4.88 gear ratio axle on their F450 while Dodge only offers a 4.10 ratio on their Ram 3500 which isn’t made to tow to what Ford’s f450 can tow. Cab sizes are typically regular, extended, and crew cab sizes.
It's built with a 50 KSI hydroformed steel frame, and five-link coil rear suspension. The truck is built with one of three engines, a 383 Horsepower, 5.7 Liter V8, a 410 Horsepower, 6.4 Liter V8, or a 370 Horsepower, 6.7 Liter Turbo Diesel 16 engine with a 68RFE six-speed automatic transmission.
The most visible change in telling the difference in a 1968 from a 1967 was the addition of side-marker reflectors on all fenders. Also, the small rear window cab was no longer available. Another addition was the Custom Comfort and Convenience interior package that was better than the Standard cab and more low class that the CST cab options. C10 or K10 models could be manufactured with either a 115-inch wheel base with a 6 1/2-foot cargo box or 127- inch wheelbase with an 8-foot cargo box available in Fleet side or Step side models. Standard Features included Full-width seat with vinyl trim, deluxe air heater/defroster, backup lights, painted front bumper because chrome bumpers are not considered “standard”. Also the 1968 Chevy trucks came with a 2-speed windshield wiper and directional signals. For about 160 dollars more, the CST (Custom Sport Truck) package could be ordered which had all of the features listed above, plus Western style vinyl seats, roof rim molding, carpeting for the floor panels and also for the gas tank, and break and gas pedal
Chevrolet has added many options to the lineup for the new trucks this year. A new and improved traction controlled system has been added as well as Stabilitrak Electronic Stability Control System and power side view mirrors. As far as the interior goes, there is always the option of having leather seats but this year Chevrolet added heated seats for the driver and passengers of the vehicle as well as satellite radio. Axles on the new Silverado’s have been upgraded to 9.5 inch axles.
First off they are both luxurious throughout the inside of the vehicle. They both have good engines and gas mileage when running a V-6 through a V-8. They have similar measurements but the Dodge is two inches taller and has a wider base. They both have specific designs but the Dodges design gives them an aerodynamic advantage compared to the Fords bulkiness, and blockish appearance. They can both pull trailers well even though the Dodge has a lower capacity, it’s coil springs make it easier on the truck to go uphill with a heavy trailer. Both of the trucks have V-8 engines but the Dodges puts out more horsepower making it more efficient for speed and power. When it comes to pricing both vehicles are expensive. But the Dodge is around 7,000 dollars more due to the bonus
In fact, a plush interior combined with a full box frame gives you a comfortable and stable ride. The suspension system helps the truck hug the road and the Electric Power Steering offers solid command of the truck regardless of the road conditions. The interior has 41.4 inches of headroom and 45 inches of legroom, which is three more inches than the competition. Add cockpit style instrument panels and you get comfort and styling. In order to reduce outside noise, General Motors added thick glass in the windshield and side glass, doors that have been triple sealed and a sound deadener liquid. That type of noise reduction only enhances the great sound system from

These two Chevrolet vehicles, Corvette and Sonic, has very different types of visual rhetoric which are like interpretive theories with their particular adaptation style. For example, Chevrolet Corvette and Chevrolet Sonic are two entirely different models of this brand. Most people think of a truck as a large beefy vehicle, but not many people realize that there are different advantages to different trucks. A gas burner truck and a diesel truck are both trucks, and can both be used for hauling equipment. Both types of trucks can be great daily drivers, but one may be more efficient than the other in a specific criteria. Although a gas burner truck and a diesel truck are both types of trucks, they have several differences in performance, durability, and maintenance.
There are more than 253 Million cars and trucks in the U.S at this moment. That sounds like a lot but really it isn’t that many. For every 1.3 cars or trucks there is only one person in the United States. With this many cars and trucks in the U.S. there is bound to be some controversy about which one is better. Many people may prefer trucks over cars and in vice versa. They both have their advantages and disadvantages. While trucks are better at hauling or towing things, cars have better gas mileage and can hold more people.
