In their song,“They don’t know about us”, One Direction shows the feelings of the lovers who hide their love, which share similar conflict to Romeo and Juliet. Both couple hide their love from the world and their families. In the beginning of their song, One Direction express their feelings of young couple as “People say we shouldn't be together” and “We're too young to know about forever” which is telling that young couple don’t know everything. However, in Shakespeare’s play of Romeo and Juliet, Juliet expresses her love but also understands the consequences of it. In fact, when Juliet is at the balcony, she talks to herself, being worried and questions Romeo, “O Romeo,Romeo! wherefore art thou Romeo?” and suggests him to “ Deny thy
In Romeo and Juliet By William Shakespeare we meet Romeo who falls in love with Juliet in the city of Verona and despite their differences, they are willing to give up everything they have for each other. Sadly Romeo and Juliet's love ends in a tragic way as they both end up killing themselves. Although the film Romeo and Juliet (1996) is similar to the original play by William Shakespeare, it also differs in some respects. Firstly, both the film and original play both take place in a society with Elizabethan era values, such as the man having the power in a family and women being expected to marry and do housework. Secondly, the characters in both the play and the movie have the same relationships. Such as Romeo and Juliet being lovers, and Tybalt despising the Montagues. However, the time period and place is different. In the film the events take place in a modern city called Verona Beach, with cars, guns, and helicopters. The original play, which takes place in Verona, Italy in the 16th century. The play used swords and horses.
On November 11, Theater Emory presented Romeo and Juliet and was directed by John Ammerman. Romeo and Juliet is a tragedy written by Shakespeare where Romeo and Juliet falls in love that cannot work because they live in families that are hostile to each other. This play incorporated the dichotomy between love and hate and tragic consequences from uncontrolled emotions. These themes were presented through character’s expressivity of their emotions through dramatic sequences and the stage designs from light and movement.
Males have a unique way in which they express their feelings towards the opposite gender as we see in Romeo a Juliet and the song"Michelle". The song we are analyzing that shows a great example of male affection is "Michelle" performed by Sir Paul McCartney from the beatles. The songwriter of this sophisticated piece tells about the males love. The narrator is telling the female that he is writing towards that he loves her, he is emphasizing how much he loves her. Similarly, the excerpt of Shakespeare's play Romeo and Juliet the piece of this story that we were analyzing is Act I, Scene 5, Lines 44-53, in this we see Romeo express his affection to a female Juliet in a poem that most definitely describes beauty. Males have a demented and

The big talk with all teens these days, is romeo and juliet (not really). They are all wondering the same exact question: Whose fault is it that romeo and juliet went through their horrible tragedy together. Is it the families?... Romeo?… The friar?… Well, you guessed it in the title. It is all juliet's fault that all of this ever went down. The main idea of the essay today will be how juliet messed up everything. Yes, there were many other people that contributed to their deaths, like the nurse, but the main problem of all of this, is Juliet. I will talk about her main mess ups and how she could have fixed these problems.
I think you should let Romeo and Juliet be together for the following reasons. One, if Romeo and Juliet can love each other despite being from two families that hate each other then who is to say the two families can't get along just enough to let them be together. Two, if Romeo and Juliet were still here and did get married they could have brought there two families closer on a mutual agreement for the couple. Three, Romeo and Juliet are dead, they both killed themselves over each other because you didn't let them be together.
How different can a play and two movies be when they all tell the same story? The play The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, the movie “Romeo and Juliet” (1968), and the film “William Shakespeare’s Romeo + Juliet” (1996) vary greatly from one to the other; however, they all express the tragic tale of Romeo and Juliet. These two movies should be described as accurate representations of the original play, despite their disparities from each other. The costuming used in these two films clearly exemplifies the time periods of the story and how character’s styles showcased their lives.
Romeo is the lover in the story and hates to fight and always try's to stop people from fighting. Romeo and Juliet William Shakesspear Romeo and Juliet they fall in love at first sight and they have only known each other for a few days and they get married and kill each other. Romeo and Juliet, star-crossed lover of the tragic love story written by William Shakespeare. It’s about two lovers who fell in love but they are both from rival family-Montague and Capulet families. Even after 400 years, this story is consider one of the most famous, and the greatest love story is ever written in history. Throughout the generations, Romeo and Juliet will be recognized for a great piece of literature that shows many dynamic characters, actions, and drama which grabs a large audience. Many prototypes were created followed by this including two famous movies. In 1968, the movie is starring Leonard Whiting and In 1996, it’s starring Leonardo Dicaprio. Two of movies are accurate to the original story. Everyone has the right to remain opinionated on which story is the finest or more accurate. It is my belief that the Shakespearean version of Romeo and Juliet most accurately perceive the story of these two lovers because of scenery, characters, and storyline (plot).
The Death Scene in the text version has more tension. It perfectly states the events that occur between Romeo and Juliet that leads them to their death. On the other hand, the Luhrmann version also describes well the tragedy of Romeo and Juliet but has a lot of differences due to its modern time era.
Shakespeare’s ‘Romeo and Juliet’ is a story that will live on forever in the world of literature. This story illustrates how two people can have an instant connection but not really love and because of the dramatic way it’s portrayed it may send a false message to many youth today. I feel that the way Shakespeare portrayed love in this story is overdramatized and does not reflect how it would or should happen in real life. In my personal opinion, love is something that you have to work on. In the story, Romeo and Juliet constantly say how much they love each other and can’t live without each other, however, I feel that you should know someone for a while before professing your love and undivided attention. I also believe that Romeo and Juliet are much too young to be having these feeling and actively pursuing them, I feel the feelings between Romeo and Juliet have is more like lust than love.
The Romeo and Juliet (1968) movie had some differences with the original play, although I did enjoy watching it. Watching the film also made me understand some parts of the play a little bit better. A detail that stood out to me the most, however, was how ridiculous the servant’s livery looked like. It almost appeared to resemble a jester’s clothes. I also like how the film took out some parts of the play they deemed unnecessary, but some parts of the play that were added were confusing.
The leading example of the lesson taught is when Romeo and Juliet have their first night together. Their meeting arises immediate disregards to their families hatred for one another and results in plans for a secret marriage. It begins when Romeo goes to the Capulet ball with his friends and meets Juliet. Their exchanges are interrupted when Juliet must go to her Mother. Later, the nurse tells Juliet that Romeo is a Montague. Juliet overlooks this the extent of this issue and says, “My only love sprung from my only hate! / Too early seen unknown; / and known too late! / Prodigious birth of love it is to me / that I must love a loathed enemy” (Shakespeare 1.5.151,155). Juliet and Romeo both know that what they are doing is wrong, but Juliet
As a child, I used to be very open and told my mom and friends everything of what was going on in my mind. Since my father’s death, as years went by, I started to close up more. Juliet has a hard time explaining her emotions to her parents because she fears criticism from them and feels as if they won’t understand. Parents do critique their children and often, they don’t always understand.
