Predators and A blessing
Do all animals get along? That’s the question, but two stories are opposites and share some things in common, they are animals. Some attack each other, some share a beautiful connection.
In “A Blessing” There is 2 horses in love as they show a beautiful connection as they love each other. This is a beautiful story/poem by the author, the tone was one of many factors why there is a beautiful connection in this story, He sounds that he has seen the beautiful thing in this life.
In “Predators” The tone sounds eerie, as it is a dog and cat that might be attack as the cat might of lost his/her habitat , this shows that not all animals are going to get along. Also, the tone affects the reason why animals can
In recent years, EMOs have continued to grow at a slow but steady pace. Since 2010-2011, large-sized (10 or more schools) EMOs have increased from 15 to 17 . Many large-sized EMOs have continued to diversify and expand into new services that are less regulated. These services can include supplemental instruction, after-school programs, and targeted group interventions designed to meet academic and behavior needs. Unlike charter schools that are monitored and accredited under the statewide testing and accountability system, supplemental services have less strict systems for monitoring provider performance. The concerns of for-profit EMOs consist of: the lack of accountability for the use of public funds, the undercutting of educational services
The love between the two seems that it will be eternal. Time seems to stand still in this poem, seizing a moment between two lovers and accentuating it with nature’s majesty.
Richard Connell’s short story, The Most Dangerous Game, tells the story of a famous hunter named Rainsford, who falls off of a yacht and swims to an island called Ship-Trap Island. While on Ship Trap Island, Rainsford encounters a man named General Zaroff, who began hunting humans on the island after becoming bored of hunting animals. One night, Zaroff announces to Rainsford that he will be the next victim in his hunting game. Zaroff informs Rainsford that if he manages to survive for three days without being killed, then he can leave the island. Throughout the plot of this short story, there is a consistent theme of the world being composed of two classes of people: the hunters and the hunted. General Zaroff and Rainsford both find themselves to be divided into this class system, at various times during the hunting game. In this short story, Connell uses foreshadowing to portray the idea that there are two classes of people in the world: the hunters and the hunted, in relation to Rainsford and Zaroff.
One difference that the poems “A Blessing” and “Predators” have is that one is peaceful and the other is negative. The poem “A Blessing” by James Wright is positive because it shows the good emotions that animals have, not the bad. One example is that in the the text claims that “The eyes of those two Indian ponies darken with kindness...They love each other. There is no loneliness like there’s.” Also, in the poem “Predators” by Linda Hogan is negative. One example that the poem “Predators” is negative is that this poem demonstrates the bad things that could happen to the domesticated animals from the wild animals. One example that supports this statement is that
Hopefulness is conveyed throughout the poem through the author’s choice of words and how he
The writer’s diction reveals his/her tone in an obvious way. But what words reveal his/her tone? First off, what is the tone? The tone of this passage is accusatory towards careless canine owners and it conveys a negative connotation.
Humans and wildlife are not always able to get along. It is difficult to communicate with each other, so we do not know what each other is thinking. However, a bond between a whale and human shows that humans and wildlife can sometimes get along. James Moskito is a professional diver. In December 2005, he discovered a whale that was in trouble. The whale was trapped inside of a net that was held down by a 3,000 pound anchor.
Natasha Saunder’s “Love is All Around”, a short twelve line poem with a three two line stanza, that has heavy significant meaning behind it despite the length. This poem tells a story about how Love can be found anywhere and everywhere and how the love that other’s can give you can be an uplifting powerful feeling. The first word in the poem is “love”, the main focus and theme of the poem in itself. The author uses this word as it’s first in order to capture the attention of her audience and connect the main focus within the rest of the poem.
“The War God’s Horse Song” is written by a Native American Indian Tribe named Navajo. This poem is written in the perspective of the son of the Turquoise Women. He began to describe the beauty of a horse using visual imageries. Because of the Native American traditions, nature is used connect to visual descriptions of the horse. Through the descriptions of the horse, the tone presented by the narrator is awe and respect. The horse almost seems as a divine being when comparing the horse’s mane to rainbows and his eyes to stars, “The Holy Wind blows through his mane/his mane is made of rainbows” (line 9-10). “My horse’s eyes are made of stars” (12). The Native Americans can be seen to describe the horse with other aspects of nature, thus, showing how interconnected everything is in the Native American traditions. The connections of nature are presents with an attitude of admiration. The perspective of the poem is also important to how the tone is presented;
"Until one has loved an animal, a part of one's soul remains unawakened." — Anatole France. Do humans feel as close to their friends as they are as close to their pets? In the poems "A Blessing", by James Wright and "Predators", by Linda Hogan, there are many similarities and differences in the way people and animals are presented.
look like, and what lies ahead of us?" " Are we really alone?" There are so
Let’s get the obvious out of the way the alien would have only killed one person if he would have followed quorenee. Then again was programmed to get the alien at all cost, so you can possess can be blamed that on his program too.a lot can be blamed on his programing and even if i hate to say it ,but it make him very slightly less guilty.
Many poems throughout the “Songs of Ourselves” have very powerful meanings but the two that stuck out to me the most were “In Praise of Creation” and “Blessing”.
Predators are animals that kill for their food; they must do this in order to survive. There has been controversy about predation in some areas including the re-introduction of wolves into the Yellowstone National park area and other areas. Predator-prey relationships are both beneficial and detrimental to some species. The weakest and unhealthiest become dinner for those predators and also become a positive thing for the species that only the strongest of the herd will survive and continue to reproduce. Some types of prey have defense mechanisms which fight off predators. Survival of the fittest is the best explained phrase for this type of ecological interaction.
Wow, Some animals, like dogs and kittens, can develop relationships. Dogs and kittens can become best friends, just like us humans. Mother dogs that just had a liter of puppies might care for kittens. Some kittens and dogs are very inseparable to each other. Inseparable means were you can not take away from each other. Some pets are very loving.
