The two men were George Milton and Lenny Small; they have an undying friendship towards one another but that friendship is ended by a quick negative act of generosity by the other. Main characters had an important impact on this movie. George Milton, which who was played by Gary Sinise, brought his character to life by his attitude towards everyone. His attitude towards Lennie was gentle but yet forceful and determined. John Malkovich, who played Lennie, played his part excellently. He had me believing that he had problems with understanding some conversation. He laughed when Crooks made fun of him. The main characters …show more content…
The right sound had to influence the way each scene was taken. If there was cheerful and lighthearted music, then you would think there was a prime, pleasant scene like when everyone is having a good time. On the other hand, if the music was depressing and dramatic, then you would think that something bad is going to or is happening. I think that the music did an excellent job at determining the mood of the scenes. Believe it or not but the lighting also impacts the movie. The lighting has to be just right for the scenes can look believable, like if it was dark the lights would be dimmer. The movie did have its fine and lousy quality. The light in at night needed to be a bit darker to understand that they are using lanterns, but the light outside in the day was appropriate. There was a exceptional amount of light to shine through the barn or even outside. This movie had effective scenes that went along the storyline. The scenes were successful at showing the importance of every scene by making it powerful. It made it powerful by giving the scenes different types of emotion that went along at what it was supposed to give. If it was a joyous scene then they would make the music cheerful and the light would give an gleeful type of feeling. Even when George was staring out of the box cart, you saw different types of emotion that affected the scene of the storyline in a valuable

In 1920 women got the right to vote. In 1948 President Truman signed the Women’s Armed Services Integration Act. Jeannette Rankin was the first woman to be elected to congress. Women’s rights have come a long way, nowadays women are CEO’sCeo’s of companies and doing great things. Although it wasn’t always like this, in Of Mice and Men, and in Sojourner Truth’s Ain’t I a Woman speech women weren’t treated right. Men thought that women weren’t as strong as them, and couldn’t do a man’s job.
There is an exciting chase across the countryside. These two men jump into the Salinas River. There is this Lady that is in a red ripped dress and running after these two figures named George and Lennie. The hook in the movie is very different from the book. It brings a lot of tension to the audience. George is a protective and caring friend. Lennie is really generous and sweet but also forgets a lot of things. Curley is a very angry and selfish man. Curley’s wife is sympathetic and lonely she doesn’t get to talk to anyone besides her husband Curley. Crooks is a crippled but nice man and he says s’pose a lot. Slim is very understanding. Candy is a very old but sweet man who has a very old dog that is in pain.
The essential question is based off the book “Of Mice and Men” by John Steinbeck. Should mentally disabled people be punished for crimes in the same way that non-disabled people are? Mentally disabled people should not be punished for crimes in the same way that non-disabled people are because mentally disabled people are mentally challenged and non-disabled people are not. Mentally disabled people can’t think and act for themselves. They need people to think and act for them. Non-disabled people don’t need people to think and act for them because they can think and act for themselves. Mentally disabled people and non-disabled people are different compared to each other

George’s quotation contributes to Lennie’s and his characterization by introducing George’s complicated feelings toward Lennie. As much as he loves Lennie, Lennie really gets on people’s nerves because he is so helpless. Similarly, this quote shows that George tends to tell Lennie what to do when they are together for the benefit of both of them. Also, their relationship is established as it is shown that the two men have known each other for a long time and George looks out for Lennie and his best interest, regardless of how harsh he may seem. The conclusion of the plot is foreshadowed in this quote when George describes how out of sorts Lennie is, which leads him to accidentally kill Curley’s wife in the end.
We as people often interpret ourselves as powerful but yet powerless. In the book Of mice and men and the poem “To a mouse” both demonstrate how not only people are powerless and powerful but how emotions can be too. Both, the book and the poem show these ways through feelings, actions, and their thoughts.
We would all put our close ones out of pain or trouble if we had a chance. They attempt to raise enough money to get by and to reach their dreams. But Lennie, one of the two men, made a huge mistake. He killed the boss’s son’s wife. Now George, the other man, has to make a choice. He chooses to kill his friend Lennie. But in this dilemma George made the right choice.
The common emotion the two dogs caused the narrator is embarrassment because in the first paragraph the narrator quotes that “Scotch terrier named Jeannie was giving birth to six puppies in the clothes closet of a fourth floor apartment in New York had the expected seventh at the corner of Eleventh Street and Fifth Avenue during a walk she insisted the narrator take her.” This made the narrator embarrassed because she had the puppies on a walk in public. Then the French poodle was an embarrassing moment for the narrator when it was raining and the poodle had a red rubber bib tucked around her throat and he had to hold “a small green umbrella, really a parasol” and to top that, he walked into a garage with a man who saw the narrator carrying

Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck illustrates the downfall of two solitary men who have only each other to be liable upon. The greatest tragedy in this story comes from straightforward certainty that Lennie is left alone with Curley's wife in light of the fact that Curley's wife is the genuine scoundrel in Of Mice and Men; only she causes the inconvenience that prompts Lennie's demise. Numerous of George and Lennie’s struggles originate from things they cannot control, such as Lennie’s mental illness and the way that both men are stuck in the deadlock quest for rustic work in 1930's America. In his novella, Steinbeck analyzes the distinctive ways that men and ladies express their supremacy, whereas the men in his story depend on the power
There are many captivating characters in the novel that contributed significantly to the plot. Throughout the film the shot (lighting, costume, and set design) set the whole experience. To some the shot and camerawork and the number one priority but lack the action and dialogue and the proper actors, but “beginners” seemed to have a balance, much like other films. The lighting throughout the film seemed to fit the mood for example, during some scenes the shot looked smoky or cloudy, but never dark and in scenes with Hal the sun seemed to shine every time he was in the shot, and when he was happy. Another important element in the shot is costume, and it plays a major role because the way someone is dressed helps people understand them better. The costumes fit each character, and although the costumes were simple they played a role in understating the character. Lastly the set design in the film was remarkable. The director
