Hamlet Essay Hamlet a play written by William Shakespeare is solely revolved around the seeking justice. Hamlet is a tragic play, which involves the Prince of Denmark (Hamlet) seeking revenge for his father’s death. Hamlet was published in the early sixteen hundred’s, and after that there has been a lot of storylines of movies, books, and TV shows that are derived from the play. One of the most similar pieces of work to Hamlet is The Godfather the movie directed by Francis Ford Coppola in 1972. The Godfather is a prominent crime film about a war hero of World War 2 named Michael Corleone, who openly volunteered to take control of his father’s (Vito Corleone) mafia business, after the death of his father and his older brother (Sonny …show more content…

In a meeting with Vito, Sollozzo says, "Don Corleone, I need a man who has powerful friends. I need a million dollars in cash. After seeing his father condition Michael steps up and without rethinking decides to organize a fake meeting with Sollozzo where he will kill him. After, a few minutes into their meeting Michael Corleone excuses himself to go to the restroom and returns with a pistol and drills two bullets right on his head. In contrast, Hamlet uses incredible amounts of procrastination to kill his father’s murderer Claudius. Topchayan also notes, also notices the flaw of the main character, and has her own theory of the reason what Hamlet did. In her article, she shows the trouble, the impracticality, of a person who is not a natural born killer to commit murder to seek his revenge. (281-288) Despite, unnatural capability Hamlet still kills King Claudius by stabbing him with a poisonous sword and gagging him with a poisonous beverage. Hamlet and Michael Corleone both became very isolated and started being dishonest to their lovers as their plot to killing the villain evolved. Ophelia, was the lover of Prince Hamlet, daughter of Polonius, and the sister of Laertes had a very obedient soul.
