Her stepmoms name is Adri and her step-sister’s name is Pearl. She has a best friend name Peony, and meets the prince, Kai, at her booth, in view of the fact that he wanted her to fix his android since she’s the best mechanic. She goes see Kai by driving an orange car she picked from the junkyard and fixes it after. She only goes there to see him so she can warn him about Queen Levana on what she’s planning to do with him after she marries him. The queen exposes who Cinder really is, and that the way the price found out she was lunar and a cyborg while Kai agreed that Levana should hold her
All royalty seem the same, don’t they? They are all civilized, all well mannered, and most of all, they are all boring, all except for those in the book, “The One”. In the book, the characters are anything but civilized and well behaved. The epitome of bad behavior would be America, the wild ginger who will do anything she deems morally right, even if it could get her kicked out of the palace. The prince, Maxon, on the other hand, is far too obedient and struggles throughout the book with whom he should choose to be his bride; this struggle causes further strife not only between him and America, but also between him and his father, King Clarkson.
To begin, Cinder and Dashti are both the outsiders where they live, poorer and much less privileged than the rest of their community. Cinder was in an accident as a child, and her foot and hand were damaged beyond repair, so instead they were replaced with prosthetic limbs that make her a cyborg. The people of New-Beijing are prejudiced against
On page 753 it says, “Cut your toe off, for when you are queen, you will never have to go on foot.” So the girl cut her toe off, squeezed her foot into the shoe, concealed the pain, and went to the prince.” One of the stepsisters cut of her toe while the other cut off her heel just to fit the golden slipper. They only did it because their mother told them to. Even though the stepsisters new that they weren’t the girl he danced with they still did it. Overall the stepsisters are very naive.
After reading the book and watching the movie, I have noticed that Cinder and Cinderella have more differences than similarities. In the thrilling, emotional book “ Cinder” by Marissa Myers, a story that takes place in New Beijing, a cyborg that works as a mechanic is a citizen with a very interesting past. She is criticized by her own step-mother and is accused of her sisters sickness. In the movie, “ Cinderella” directed by Kenneth Branagh, Ella’s father unawarely passes away. She ends up with her horrible stepmother and her cruel stepsisters.
Although Cinder and Cinderella have many similarities, there are also differences. They have the same plot, the same theme and have more differences than similarities. But cinderella is a movie and cinder is book. Although cinder has more in the book I think cinderella has a lot more than cinder.
Although Cinder and Cinderella have many similarities like both have step sisters, both have parents who died, and both fall for the prince but i believe that they have more differences than similarities. In Cinder the story takes place in the future in Cinderella the story takes place in the past. In Cinder she does fall for the prince like Cinderella but doesn't date or marry him in Cinderella she does marry the prince. In Cinderella she has two step-sisters who hate her but in Cinder only one of the two step-sisters likes Cinder.
She has a stepmother named Adri and two step sisters named Pearl and Peony. Also her best friend that is an android named Iko. Cinder was adopted because both her parents died unfortunately. They both died in a hover accident. Cinder also meets new friends such as Prince Kai who he stumbled into at the market place in New Beijing.
Erland. Adri and Pearl, her other stepsister, prepare for the ball, where Kai will be named King, following his father’s death of the plaque. Kai continues to flirt with Cinder only leaving her with more pain, since her stepmother hates her and she knows Kai would reject her if he knew she was Lunar and cyborg. When the coronation occurs, Cinder receives a message warning that Queen Levana plans to kill the prince after their marriage. Cinder rushes to attend the ball in her dead stepsisters dress, only to try to stop Kai’s marriage to the Queen. She is discovered as a shell, or a Lunar hiding on Earth without Lunar powers, and Kai turns his back on her. It is only then she is imprisoned and Dr. Erland reveals she is really the Queen’s niece, long thought dead, and able to dethrone the “Evil Queen,” thereby saving the Commonwealth and Prince Kai. Cinder is instructed to escape, and meet up with Dr. Erland in Africa, hopefully in the future dethroning
Cinder and Cinderella have many similarities but they have more differences. The word cinder is in both names. They are both fiction stories about a young girl. First, we’ll talk about Cinder. Unlike Cinderella, Cinder takes place in the far future.
Although Cinder and Cinderella have many similarities, like both girls having a step mother and step sisters, they have more differences. The differences go up to them having different lifestyles and different appearances. These differences even include the prince, step mother and sister, and where they live at. It goes on and on but I’ve listed a few to share along with some similarities.
Although Cinder and Ella have many differences like different endings, different timelines, and different relationships, they do have some similarities, related storylines, they both fall for the prince, and live with their evil stepmothers. In the book Cinder, the main character is Cinder Linn, she is a teenage cyborg girl who lives with her evil stepmother and two stepsisters. Cinder is the worker in the family that works as a mechanic, she is mistreated by her family except Peony one of her stepsisters who is also one her best friends, the book ends on a cliff hanger and does not end up with the prince. Cinder was born into royalty.
She did not leave her house; therefore, she did not have many friends to she could talk to or rely on to help her. She mainly socialized with her stepmother and stepsisters. Her stepmother enforced her gender role because she would order Cinderella to cook, clean and get her daughters ready. In addition, her stepsisters constantly reminded Cinderella that beauty was everything and they demonstrated this when they got ready to go out. Same sex siblings influence the younger sibling’s choices and actions a lot (Gender & Gender Identity). If they were not same sex siblings, Cinderella would have engaged in activities that are more masculine (Gender Role Development). She developed a female gender role because she had the stereotypical role in which a woman cooks, clean, sews, sings and obeys authority. This gravely affected her because she did not know a man’s characteristics since she was never around them. If Cinderella were around men more, she would have picked up on the things they do. Since the men at that time portrayed strength and chivalry, Cinderella might have been strong enough to fight back her stepmother. Gender roles carry on as the individual get older and they do the same chores outside their home; therefore, Cinderella is likely to display the same role at her husband’s house. This might result in a problem because the Prince has his own servant and Cinderella will have to adjust to commanding other
12) Also why are most of the princes do absolutely nothing but to chase the princess?
She authoritatively instructs them to not “make a racket” once they find the unexpected changes to their living situation (16, 162). The young wife of the middle son acts more as an authority figure that ‘whips the men in shape’ than a shy and inexperienced girl. Sometimes she uses the men to complete her plan. For example, when she finds the royal necklace, she gives it to her father-in-law to present to the king’s court (16, 163). Ultimately, the plan has always been hers rather than a group or male or other typically hierarchical status decision.
The author explains early on the initial absence of Cinderella’s mother proposes a sign of disempowerment. This in term changes the events of the story and leaves Cinderella bewildered with her stepmother and stepsister. Cinderella has the advantage that her mother is now a form of power through symbolism and is now a magical figure. The author explains that there are similarities between Cinderella and her mother and the stepdaughters and their mother because each child is trying to perform to impress ones maternal figure. This creates tension between Cinderella and the stepdaughters through competition for the ball to attend with a prince. The author explains firmly that “Cinderella is also a competitor, she plots and schemes, and she wins.
