Compare and Contrast: The United States vs. Australia I decided to use the two cultures of Australia and the United States to compare and contrast. Australia has many different cultural differences than the United States. Culture is a compilation of knowledge, language, values, customs, and material objects that’s is passed down from generation to generation in a given society (Kendall 2014). Australian culture is very similar, such as language, symbols, and food, to American culture, with a little bit of differences. Like America, Australia has no official language, but English is the most widely spoken language. Even though both of our language derive from the same place, our language is still very different than those in Australia. For
They even have and football league called AFL (Australian Rules Football). Their government is the same as America and they have many of the same rules/laws. In the book Cal is framed for breaking many laws including breaking and entering, theft, and even murder. Their legal system is the same there are judges, police officers, and a prime minister, which is a lot like a president. One thing that is different is the wildlife, they have so much more deadly, exotic, and colorful animals.
In Australia we have multiple social and cultural institution such as: Aged Care system, education system, families, health care system, labour markets, legal systems, government departments, the media, political systems, religious systems, work.
Australia is a two tiered system including a private and public sector. Medicare is a universal health insurance scheme under the public system. It was introduced on the 1st of February 1984 by the Australian Labor party the principal is for all Australian to have equal access to health. There are three levels of government these include Local, State or territory and Federal, all three have different roles to perform in terms of health care. The local government is responsible for towns and districts, moreover, local councils or shires function is to operate systems and projects such as sewage, garbage disposals and maintenance of the safety food standard. Both state and federal direct different parts of Medicare. State government manages public hospital within their territory or state, the state government receives 40%-50% of the total cost of expenditures for the public hospital from the Federal government. Lastly, Federal role includes payments to primary health services there include GPs, the majority of nurses, medical specialists and allied health professionals. In 1996 Budget guaranteed the renewal of private health insurance.

The Chinese and Australia economies have many similarities and differences, including the size of the economies, growth rates, unemployment, inequality, standard of living, environmental issues and the roles the different governments have in influencing and modifying these factors of the economy.
Did you know Australia use to be a big prison? Australia is the 6th largest continent. Australia is the only continent covered by a single country. In Australia there are more kangaroo’s than people. A person in Australia hasn’t died from a spider bite since 1987. The top ten deadliest snakes live in Australia. There are over 200 different languages which are spoken in Australia. This includes 45 languages, as well non-English languages like Greek, Italian, Cantonese, Vietnamese, Mandarin, and Arabic. A desert area known as the outback covers much of the land.
Language use in Australia constantly and rapidly changes to reflect the ever-evolving Australian national identity. It is being influenced by American culture, through its pervasive media, and altered to create a unique identity that addresses the needs of the younger Australians. Technology, the loss and gain of expressions, changing perception of taboo words and political correctness also attribute to the way that language has evolved to fabricate our national identity.
A democracy is a system of government where the people have the power to decide how they will be ruled or managed. Democracies date back to Ancient Greece and come in different types. These include direct democracies and representative democracies. Australia and Indonesia are two countries that are considered democratic. They are both similar in the ways they govern and the rules set in their constitutions. Australia and Indonesia's system of government are similar as they both consist of a separation of powers, lower and upper house and they are both representative democracies.
Good Morning Ms Lewis and students, today I will be talking to you about Australia and how America is over powering our national identity and Australia is slowly becoming Americanised and has been for many years. Australian culture and identity has been significantly affected and dominated by America through movies, tv shows, music and food. In my opinion the Americanisation of Australia's culture is a sad and terrible thing. It is a process where ordinary Australians are bombarded every day with images of American lifestyle, so much that it merges almost unnoticed into our own lifestyle.
Australia is a very culturally diverse country, meaning that it consists of many cultures and ethnicities from around the world. This diversity is mostly due to immigration,
What does it mean to be Australian? Is it our multiculturalism, our wicked sense of humour or is it our recognisable accent? We are unique, we have thousands of species of native animals and we are proud of it. Australia has its own slang, which could be counted as a language in itself and we have neighbours of all different races. Australia is multicultural and is extremely accepting of others, no matter the country from which they have immigrated from, it is an Australian value. Furthermore, we respect and accept others religions and cultures into our society.
Australia and New Zealand are both located in Southern Hemisphere of Oceania. They used to have ties between the British colony, which explains why their flags are so similar. However, Australia was founded to be a penal colony, and New Zealand was founded to be a religious colony (Clarisse, 2011). For their proximity to be so close the two countries were thought to be basically the same; however, they are also different. One of the topics that they can go hand-to-hand on is their government.
There are a range of English varieties which are different from the Standard, developed from communities of speakers all sharing the same use of language. Aboriginal English, a dialect of Australian English, remains a lingua franca for their speakers, used as a common language to communicate between tribes for mutual
