During the Gilded Age and Progressive Era, there was an abundance activism and governmental involvement that without these stages in American history we wouldn't have a lot of the benefits we do now. Both the Progressive Era and Gilded Age played a crucial role in American history; we had things such as industrialization, and labor movements which pushed government officials to improve the rights and working conditions of the working people. We also had this push to make politicians change certain laws and during these times we really see a lot of organized strikes and groups seeking change.
Both the Gilded and Progressive Era took place in the late and early 19th hundredths, but during the Gilded Age, we had industrialization which was a result of the civil war, with northern states building more railroads this cause a demand for more manufacturing goods so more and more factories started to rise because of this.
