In the year 1756 the British declared war to the country France. The colonist called the French and Indian war the “The Seven Years’ War’’ which lasted from 1756 to 1763. The French and Indian war had a few causes, while cultural differences played a part the most obvious cause was the dispute of land between the British and the French. For example, In the early 1750s, France began to expand into the Ohio River valley however this expansion also brought it into constant conflict with the British colonies, especially Virginia. After many battles and the British began losing until the managed to change the tide and they were victorious. During his presidential term Jackson passed laws that forcibly removed native American from their land and for them to move west by foot this dangerous journey through the Mississippi River became known as the trail of tears. In the year 1830, almost 25,000 Native Americans lived on millions of acres of land in Georgia, Tennessee, Alabama, North Carolina and Florida their ancestors had lived there for many generations, by then end of the 18th century there were almost no Native Americans left in the Southeastern part of the United States. This was because of the “Indian Removal” Act that President Andrew Jackson signed he for many years was a strong advocate of taking Indian land and offering it to white farmers. The Indian-removal process continued. In 1836, the federal government drove the Creeks from their land around 3,500 of the 15,000 Creeks who set out for west did not survive the trip, this event became known as the trail of tears. This expansion and removal of the Natives was caused by many things, but a major cause was Manifest Destiny. Manifest Destiny was a belief many Americans had that it was their duty and their right to expand towards the west and form their civilization from coast to coast. This belief helped fuel western settlement, Native American removal and war with Mexico, they wanted more land to grow crops, they wanted Native Americans removed to make more farms by taking their land. In 19th century many Native Americans were placed in Indian Reservations. These were legal designation for an area of land managed by a Native Americans rather than the state governments of the United States in which they are located on. “The Indian Appropriations Act of 1851 authorized the creation of Indian areas in what is now Oklahoma. During this time, the country with the most land had the most power. Britain and France had a lot of conflicts because Britain felt threatened by French. The reason for the war was for control of North America and the fur trade. The Treaty of Paris was the treaty that marked the ending of the French and Indian War. The treaty gave the British control over the area west of the thirteen colonies to the Mississippi River.
The French and Indian war was fought between Great Britain and France from 1754 to 1763. Also known as the Seven Year’s War, this confrontation eventually erupted into an all out worldwide conflict. Its effects were not only immediate but long term. Although the colonies were not directly tied to the war, it greatly impacted them as well as modern America.

The seven year’s war was a long and bloody war in Northern America that was fought between 1734 and 1763. It was a war fought between the French and their Indian allies versus British troop and Colonist over resources, trade routes, territory, and the long time rivalry of the French and British. The French and Indian war had a significant impact as a turning point in Colonial and British relations because it lead to the end of an age salutary neglect by the British and changed for the worse how the Colonials and British viewed each other.
The Seven Years war, or the French and Indian war, represented the major turning point in deciding British-Colonial relations. This Seven Years’ War lasted from 1754 and ended with The Treaty of Paris in 1763. With the help of the colonists, the British were able to defeat the French, and became the “dominant naval power” in the world. Although many colonists and the British rejoiced over their victory, its consequences completely changed the way colonists viewed the British.

The problem with the Natives is that they blocked westward movement for Americans, who were mainly motivated by money. To appease the white settlers frustration, Jackson prompted Congress to pass the Removal Act of 1830. The Removal Act caused the forced removal of Indians from the land they inhabited in the Southeast, to land which would be granted west of the Mississippi River(7). At this time, President Jackson was responsible for negotiating, and creating removal treaties with the Native tribes, even if it meant having to be threatening at times. Robert Whaples states, “About seventy treaties were signed by which more than 100 million acres of Indian land were added to the public domain at a cost to the government of about $65 million plus 32 million acres in the new Indian Territory”, which shows just how crucial the Removal Act was towards the growth of the nation. On may 28, 1830 the Indian Removal Act was passed by the congress and was signed by the current president at the time Andrew Jackson. The Indian Removal Act authorized the president to grant unsettled lands west of Mississippi in exchange for the Native Americans land. This forced Native American tribes to march their way west of Mississippi. Some tribes left in peace but most of the tribes resisted. In 1835 the agreement to, Treaty Of New Echota allowed Jackson to order Cherokee removal. Some Cherokee leaders signed the treaty and left but people under the leadership Chief John Ross resisted until they were forced to move to a new location 1838. Their forced journey to their new location was called the Trail Of Tears. Ever since, Native Americans have been living in reservation lands and the government has taken notice but don’t know if they should give them land or money. It lasted from 1756 until 1763, so it was also known as the Seven Years War. At the peace conference in 1763, the British received Canada from France and Florida from Spain, but permitted France to keep its West Indian sugar islands and gave Louisiana to Spain. The treaty strengthened the American colonies significantly by removing their European rivals to the north and south and opening the Mississippi Valley to westward expansion.

For this week I have decided to talk about what the causes of the French and Indian also known as the Seven Years War were. You could write a book on all of reasons the French and Indian war took place. Native Americans believe that land didn’t belong to anyone; they believed a land was freedom and was provided for everyone to use. Also, allowing people to create agricultural and having shelter . However, White American’s believed in land ownership, which caused confliction towards Native Americans and White Americans. The Trails of Tears also know as the Cherokee, forced fifteen thousands Native American to leave their homeland and travel to another location because White Americans wanted to manufacture on railroad companies. This caused over four thousand Natives to die on their way to their new journey . In addition, president Andrew Jackson created the Indian Removal act in 1830; this permitted the
