When it comes to love, everyone experiences it differently and it affects people in many different ways. Some experience it positively, some experience it negatively, and some do not experience it at all. Love is a very complicated subject to understand and even those who experienced love multiple times still find it confusing. It is not a straightforward concept and even though there might be science backing it up to a certain extent, it is still not something we completely grasp because it is different for everyone and there is just so much to it.

Ancient Greeks predominantly lived in on island archipelagos or on the coast of nearby mainland because mainland Greece is one of Europe’s most mountainous countries, which complicates animal and crop husbandry. Correspondingly, seafaring has always been paramount in the Aegean, especially for the Greeks, due to ease of transportation, trade networks, and defensive needs. Mainland Greeks utilized seafaring to bring in necessities cheaper than they could produce them at home, and they saved time traveling by land, rather than trek the long way through the mountains. When living on islands, sea travel is a necessity to contact outsiders and participate in extensive trade. Even Greeks in Homer’s epics appear to know the sea well (Mark 2005, 145). Despite Greek seafaring’s prominence, archeological and textual evidence for seafaring in the Bronze Age and Early Iron Age Aegean is relatively sparse, with a near-lack of physical boat remains. Filling in holes, such as with literary sources, in the timeline of Aegean seafaring provides a greater understanding of the development of Greek ships, as well as the cultural implications of the technology invoked. The most extensive textual source of this era’s seafaring is Homer’s epics, but they are epic poetry of the eighth or early seventh century BCE concerning Greece’s heroic, mythical past. Homer’s Iliad and Odyssey are set in the Bronze Age, yet include Iron Age elements (Mark 2005,
However, a loop for a roller coaster is not a circle, called a vertical loop, rather it is a teardrop shape. It has been discovered over the years that having a more circular loop can cause severe neck and head injuries because of the intense force from the radius of the loop. Loops are nowadays formed into a clothoid loop to ensure safety and reduce pressure. While going up the loop, the car is acting against gravity, making it move slower as it gets to the top of the loop. Once the car has passed the middle it begins to move faster with the help of gravity. If the loop curvature is constant than it will emit the greatest force at the end of the loop. If the curvature of the loop is not a constant track then riders will feel the “jerks”

Scientifically, a crush only lasts for a maximum of four months. If the feelings exceed that time then you are considered in love. Love is an intense affection toward someone gained over time, while an infatuation is an intense short lived passion or admiration for someone. Love is often confused with infatuation, especially in young people. In the case of Romeo and Juliet, confusing the two can have deadly consequences.
Love is Like a Roller Coaster Riding a roller coaster has its ups and downs. In comparison, loving someone has some of the same characteristics. When in love with someone, one might feel a wide range of emotions, such as anger, calmness, anxiety, tenderness, jealousy, or even despair. A roller coaster can be much compared to love, in that when you first get on the ride, you may feel many of the same emotions. For example, when someone first falls in love with someone there’s this anxiety of knowing whether or not, that the person you love feels the same way towards you.
While being young and in love is some time all we imagine growing up, it takes true time to figure out what love really is. Maturity also plays a big roll around the word “love”. “That is what we
Kant believes that humans are “rational beings, capable of reasoning and deserving of respect”. According to page 360, “treating a person with respect means treating them as rational agents capable of making their own free choices, responsible for their own actions. To justly punish a person is to acknowledge their status as responsible agents deserving of respect. Executing a murderer is not an affront to human dignity but a recognition of it”. By punishing the criminal, we are respecting his beliefs, because we are treating him in the way that he thinks people ought to be treated. We are not punishing him due to our own beliefs, but because it is in accordance with the principles that he has endorsed through his own actions. If someone makes a choice to murder someone, they also make the choice to accept the consequences of that action.
You may think that you know what love is when you are young, but you don't. You may "fall in love" with that boy down the street, but that's not the same as real
Should we legalize marijuana? That is an excellent question. First, we must explore the history of Cannabis. Cannabis was introduced to the United States in the 1600’s, first encouraged by the federal government for domestic hemp production, cannabis soon became a required crop for farmers to grow. Hemp was recognized for its medical benefits and was the main fiber used in industrial textiles. Marijuana thrived until the early 1900’s. After the Mexican revolution of 1910 ended Mexican immigrants filled the United States introducing to American culture the use of recreational marijuana. During hearings on marijuana law in the 1930’s, claims were made about marijuana’s
What is love? The type of love I’m describing is the one that gives you butterflies when a certain person comes to mind. Just seeing that particular person can be enough to make one smile and make your day and all the worries go away. Right now that person comes to mind. It’s neither a crush nor infatuation and many are willing to do anything for this thing that is called love. Love can hurt in the long run, and people can also be blinded by it.
