Small communities may be miles apart but their living conditions are similar and so are their environments. There are two main similarities between Red Mesa and Chinle; environment and the Native American dominate race. In the two communities some contrasts are; Chinle has more stores as opposed to Red Mesa, Red Mesa has only one store. As for Chinle, Chinle has a bank, on the other hand Red Mesa does not have a bank. Chinle is more populated and has multicultural people in the community. As for Red Mesa it is less populated but only has Navajo people in the area. Although Chinle is more populated it is more polluted. Red Mesa is less populated and less polluted. Compared to Red Mesa, Chinle has more hitchhikers as Red Mesa does not. Although
Before the arrival of Europeans in 1492, many tribes had grown and flourished in the Americas. Most tribes had their own organized governments and religions, but some tribes occupied entire regions, such as the Pueblo tribes of the Southwest or the Mississippi River Valley tribes, and were different from the numerous nomadic tribes. They had extensive trade systems, sophisticated farming systems that resulted in a ready supply of food, and thousands of citizens. The two groups had a lot in common, but they also had several differences that distinguished them. The Pueblo tribes had a more developed sense of unity than the Mississippi River tribes, and this unity gave them an advantage that the Mississippi
1. Compare and contrast key characteristics of two early civilizations (choose from Mesopotamian, Shang, Indus Valley, Chavin, and Phoenician) in terms of three of the following: economy, political system, art and architecture, religion, technology, legacy.
Here in the United States, we might assume that people will freely agree to a technique or way if its real-world power can be proven. In some other cultures, such proof would tumble on deaf ears. The European-American looks at a pickup truck as a total advancement over a horse and wagon. It is more cost-effective and faster.
The Navajo Tribe The Navajo Tribe resides in Utah, New Mexico, and Arizona. They are one of the most well known tribes because of their history. They are also one of the most creative tribes and have items they have made that are very popular today. Navajo jewelry is recognizable and distinguishable by the turquoise stone that is in all of it.
Going back as early as 1100, the Navajo culture is one of the more fascinating tribes in North America. Although their culture did not appear until around this time, their peoples have been around since 12,000 B.C, maybe even earlier. The Navajos originated around the “Four Corners” area, in south western Colorado and south eastern Utah. This group was eventually, and forcefully removed from their land, and mainly settled in the area of northern New Mexico and Arizona, expanding their territory although they would continue to feud with settlers that would take their land, and surroundings.
Both tribes faced some challenges that are different and some that were the same. Both tribes probably faced challenges while traveling. The tribes face challenges while building stuff. While catching fish they probably run into big fish. Both tribes have faced challenges, there locations are filled with different challenges.
IDiscuss the various reactions or strategies that Native Americans utilized against the Europeans when their land was invaded.
Although,
The Navajo Indians emulated the pueblo. The shed their animal skin clothing for cotton and learned quickly how to farm. These people settled in between the Rio Grande and the Grand Canyon. They herded sheep and grew corn in the valleys. They were a peaceful group of people, and were one with their surroundings.
the conflict between native americans and the indans could have been easily avoided by both sides. the settlers could just move to new land past the Americans land .the native American should not been selfish and steal the Indians land just to make wealthy and land .the Indians would become eventually into modern day American people over time. the Indian removal never had to happen and could also have easily been avoided.
