When recruiting athletes for football college coaches went to find the fittest guys to improve their teams, and those guys just happen to be veterans coming back from war with no jobs. Once veterans came back and joined collegiate football teams, they became impecunious athletes in college and after if they didn’t focus on an education as well. But to collegiate coaches in the 20th century getting an education so that athletes can have a well-paying job in the future was not their concern. According to the Carnegie report which said, “the presence of the impecunious athlete in American schools, his desire to secure the advantages of a college education, and his inability or unwillingness to distinguish between proper and improper assistance have combined to produce a fertile field in which to sow the tares of commercialized exploitation and subsidies” (The Carnegie 227). Stating that athletes in American schools are poor and in need of financial support. Therefore, an education should be the main thing collegiate coaches tell athletes when they’re recruiting them. If war veteran is convinced to just focus on football while in college and that education isn’t as important, then they’re just going to be even poorer once their eligibility is up. Getting an education should be a priority when coming into college, because with little education the harder it is for athletes who aren’t going professional to find a well-paying job after college.

Community college was created to develop and prepare highly skilled, qualified students to involve in the workforce to make the economy develop and grow successfully. Students from diverse background can benefit from attending a Community college. For example, community college offers quite a few general classes or remedial classes that a four year university would not offer and students are able to pay less money to take any courses that are necessary for them to complete their degree or certification.

Student athletes have an opportunity to excel in education while still being productive in sports. Taking education seriously and understanding the consequences of lacking education should constantly be communicated to student athletes. The students have commitments that deny them the chance to take part in education actively, but this is normally used to excuse the students for failing to take education seriously. Colleges should realize that student athletes are first students then athletes second. If the students were not in college, they would not take part in sports activities involving the college. This is why the college should instill discipline in the athletes from the time they join the college. College administrators should monitor the performance of student athletes and deny those who fail the chance to play. Many athletes excelled in education and on the field. Joe Thomas is a good example, a football play he currently plays for Cleveland Browns (Doherty). Thomas excelled academically, and he was an honorable student for four years. Thomas was awarded a postgraduate scholarship worth $18,000. This does demonstrate that a student can excel in education and on the field.

My ideal college curriculum would have hands-on experience integrated into classroom lectures and teaching. I believe mind and body involvement into the college experience is necessary to obtain the most out of a college education, specifically with my interest in the medical community, in which experience volunteering and time spent in a hospital setting are crucial for the individuals truly motivated to pursue a medical profession. College's core purpose is to allow for a setting where students can make educated decisions on what career is the best fit for their personality, passions, and what they want from life, and incorporating hands-on experiences of a particular career could influence profession centred questions. The Stanford curriculum’s structured program of study coincides with my specific learning styles and interests as a medical student. As a kinesthetic and social learner, the “flipped classroom” approach will allow me to dissect the material on my own and then exchange ideas and questions with members of a small group. Together we can challenge our understanding of concepts and ensure a solid foundation to our medical careers. Additionally, the scholarly concentration provides an invaluable opportunity to customize my education towards my interest in working with underserved populations. The Community Health foundation will enable a better understanding of the many determinants of health that affect the lives of my future patients every day.

An important piece of a college education is educating leaders of competence. I find it incredibly important for students to come out of college with not just an academic education, but a well rounded education. Students should know how to apply what they have learned to the real world. By training leaders of competence, Christian colleges are doing society a favor. We need more leaders who are knowledgable and willing to stand up for what he or she believes in. I am also attracted to the cultivation of knowledge and faith to build a more humane society. By allowing students to grow more knowledgable they become much less ignorant on important issues that face our society. By lessening ignorance, we can make much more progress in much more efficient ways.

We face many controversial issues that generations before us could not fathom. Yet, some problems seem to evolve and recur in new forms. For example, college curricula is an issue that generations have struggled with. College curricula has become more of a mainstream issue issue in recent years. Implications and possible consequences of college curricula, must be considered to make well informed decisions.

The most critical problem that same curriculum would result into, is that it will inhibit diversity and creativity among the different kind of students all over the country. Every student will read the same course books and will be tested on the same parameters as any other. That is

The education system has been a controversial issue among educators. Requirements of school do not let student choose what they want to study for their future. It’s a big issue to force student study specific curriculums, which don’t help them improve, and what they like to create something. Educators choose a general system for education to all students which based on general knowledge. In order to teach successfully teachers must learn about first learn about their students. Teachers must assess the student’s capabilities and interests. Some students are visual learners, while others learn from hands on activities, or verbal communication. Not all students can learn through memorization, rather they learn through interest and relation to the topic. “To realize what an experience, or empirical situation, means, we have to call to mind the sort of situation that presents itself outside of school" (Democracy and Education). The curriculum should encompass material that is most useful for a student to learn. It seems that in the majority of schools, students are not given the flexibility to guide their own learning, but rather follow rigid instructions that destroy the student’s imagination.

The key concepts in the curriculum theory include the intended curriculum; what the government expects students to experience and learn, the enacted curriculum; a teacher’s interpretation and execution of the curriculum, the hidden curriculum, the social rules and norms that children learn without teachers realising it, and the null curriculum; the topics such as violence, that may be of interest to students, but remain excluded from the enacted curriculum for various reasons. There would be probably many different answers, but it is obvious that all countries’ economic conditions are the main factors that show at which level of development these countries are. Of course, the governments of all countries are doing their best in order to increase their economic status. There are many factors that positively influence the economic condition, but it is indisputable, that the main circumstance that is needed to achieve this goal is well educated society. So to solve this problem, firstly, government has to start from young generation, because they are the future of the country. It is obviously seen, that in order to increase the students’ cognition, politicians have to enhance the educational system, which will make studying process more productive, and of course, it will provide good atmosphere for students to study.
