Coat of Arms
1. In our world there are lots of conflicts and unnecessary hatred. In this day and age it has been so much easier for people to start conflicts and fights, now you can easily go on the computer and anonymously hate on someone for no reason. You can get so caught up in your own things that it's easy to forget the little things that make this world such a good and peaceful place. So something that I would like to change if I could would be all the fighting that people have whether it's between siblings or parents or just the random fights people have. I think more peace in the world would be a really good thing because it would make for so much more happiness between everyone. This is a good thing because it it will keep balance

In box two I drew a heart. I drew that because I think I have a generous heart. I think this because whenever i'm asked to do something I won't complain about doing it, I will just do it. Or I think I have a good heart because I will just do things for people and won't be thinking how can this benefit me, I will just do it out of the kindness of my heart. Another reason why i believe i have a kind heart is when i'm older i want to be a pediatrician and i think anyone who wants to work in medicine has a kind heart because their job is to make sure people are okay and to help others. Lastly i think i'm kind because i always try to consider the other person's feelings or make sure that i am including or being nice to people, just for the sake of being kind. That is why i chose a heart for what best discribes …show more content…
My favorite tradition that I drew was the beach, for me that is my favorite tradition because our friend owns a part of the beach and everyone in my family from Aunts and Uncles and grandparents to cousins rent the cabin there. Everyone in my family gets together at the beach and we all hang out for a couple days on the last week of August. Along with that on the Sunday of the last week my great Aunt brings big bins of little chocolate bars and candy for all of the kids to eat. I don't only like this tradition because of the tasty treats, I enjoy this tradition because I have such a big family that I don't see everyone all the time so when we get together sometimes it's been a year since I last saw them. Overall it’s just nice to be close with my family and get to spend time with them at the beach. That is my favorite
If I could resolve any inequities in my community it would be for everyone to treat everyone the same, sure if we lived in a perfect world that would happen,
What happened because of the Bayonet Constitution of 1887, was that most of the power was stripped away from King Kalakaua and put it into the hands of the Hawaiian League, which then created a series of events that had influenced the Hawaiian Islands substantially. The Bayonet constitution was made when the Hawaiian league filled with businessmen and lawyers had taken over most of cabinet that helps the King make decisions. With that influence they drafted a new constitution that reduced the power of the King and gave more power to the people on the cabinet. Under the gun, King Kalakaua was forced to sign the constitution. Thus, making it hard for Native Hawaiians to have a voice. This happened because a few foreigners (Hawaiian League)
For years now there has been a subject that Americans are extremely controversial about, the right to bear arms. There is many reasons to be for and against this god given right, so here is the question that is hanging out there, is the right to bear arms really a necessary part of the constitution? Well, I hope to help you understand how you feel about the topic. There is a few reasons why people should have a firearm first it is a huge part of the 2nd amendment, second, guns offer protection to all those who know how to use them, they also make it easier to get food, and of course you must learn how to properly handle them before you should even touch them, they help the economy out greatly and they save more than they hurt. Also, another
"The laws that forbid the carrying of arms are laws of such a nature. They disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man-Thomas Jefferson.
Have you ever wondered if anyone around you is carrying a concealed handgun and might misuse it? A large population of the United States does in fact carry concealed handguns. That means in 10 states more than 10% of the adult population have concealed handgun permits. Some reasons that so many adults have permits is because, concealed carry can save lives, and concealed carry can make people feel safer. Some people believe that concealed carry can be a harmful thing that adults in general are allowed to carry a concealed handgun. On the other hand, adults should be able to carry concealed handguns, because most people with firearms most likely won’t misuse them.
The right to bear arms is a fundamental right of the United States, one granted by the second amendment, the only thing more important is freedom of speech. Easily our protected right to guns is what sets our nation apart. Why would a government want to control the people it governs? Why do the actions of some people create an issue over a tool and not the people who are using that tool unjustly? The last time I checked a gun can’t fire or even load itself. Guns don’t kill people; people kill people. Their choice of method is the only variable. Instead of focusing on the easy to answer method or how we should investigate the much more elusive why. If we can begin to answer that question perhaps society can get them the help they need before
In the movie Miss Congeniality, all of the contestants are asked what they wished for. Coincidentally, all of the pageant contestants replied confidently with ¨world peace.” That famous line has now turned into a well-known punchline due to how stereotypical and obvious it is. All joking aside, that is actually what everyone strives for in their lifetime. World peace has unfortunately been absent in past occurrences. For example, blacks were greatly mistreated by many in a harmful and unkind way. Back when slavery was present, kindness was absent. Despite all of the past happenings, hope for a more loving world still has a chance to prosper.
If you were given the chance to change three things in the world, what would they be? First, I would get rid of bullying. Low hourly pay is another thing I would change quickly. It could help more than just my family. Finally, I would eliminate absent fathers. If I were given the chance, I would modify these things.
Coat of arms were very popular in the medieval ages. It was used by royalty and non-royalty. Coat of arms were usually a shield decorated with a bunch of different symbols that had different meanings, and every family had a different coat of arms. Coat of arms were used by knights when they did a joust or fought in battle. After a while though people started using them for decoration.
One of my favorite traditions is cookie baking day. All of my mom’s sisters and all of my cousins get together at one of my aunts’ houses and we all bake dozens upon dozens of cookies. We all wear ugly Christmas sweaters and fuzzy socks. By the time we are done baking, the whole house smells delicious and everyone each has about twenty dozen cookies of all different kinds.
THE PROFESSION OF ARMS The article asks “what does it mean to be a profession of Arms?” But then goes on to say “The Army is considered a profession today, but we must remember that the Army is not a profession just because we say so.” The Army is a profession in my opinion. We train to protect the American people and abide by the constitution at all costs to earn their trust.
I would change racial, gender and religion inequality, if there was none the world would be a better place because no one would have to worry about being criticized about their race or religion. Also I would make it so people had different opinions because everyone should be able to make up their own mind but I would make it so they would debate not fight. The difference between the two is that a debate is a friendly argument but a fight is being angry and trying to prove a
If I could change one thing about the world I would abolish racism. I believe that everyone should be treated equally and have equal opportunities achieving their goals and persuing their dreams. I foresee that the world is becoming less and less racist but it is still a serious problem especially in North America with police brutality within minority groups. Minority groups are 3x more likely to be killed by a police officer compared to the majority in the United States and only about 28% of the United States' population consists of minority groups. So the facts don't really add up when minorities are way more likely to be killed by a police officer and minorities make up a small precent of the population.
During the Middle Ages, many families used a coat of arms to represent themselves in different aspects of their lives. The coat of arms could consist of different colors, symbols, and many other things. An anonymous individual once said, “Tell a lie once and all your truths become questionable,” and I chose to include this quote in my coat of arms. This quote means a lot to me, as I believe being truthful is the key to success, and it is the motto I live by. The purple background is meant to symbolize my favorite color, and purple can also mean creativity. With those two meanings, I believe it was a good color to use as I like to be creative as well. As a result, my coat of arms has a lot of symbolism in it.
One of these is that on Thanksgiving everybody comes together to my parents’ house in New Jersey for a huge feast. On Christmas only my mother and the children (me and my brother) travel to Illinois to spend a week with my grandparents. On New Years Eve we all get together at my parents’ house in New Jersey and toast to the New Year with champagne and apple cider. During Labor Day weekend all of my family travels to South Jersey to my grandfathers’ condo. We usually spend all of our time on the beach and barbequing, except on Sunday when we go to church. After all, my grandfather is a minister. One of our biggest family traditions is going back to Puerto Rico. Every year my mother and I travel back to Puerto Rico for a portion of our summer vacation. Now that I am older I travel there more often and stay there much longer. My father never joins because he doesn’t like my mothers side of the father too much and he thinks that we when we speak Spanish we are all plotting against him. Of course that’s not true though. My bother doesn’t speak Spanish so he doesn’t like to go either. I guess that tradition is one that belongs solely to my mother and I.
