Have you ever been yelled at by a coach or has your coach told you to run so much you throw up? I sure would not want that to happen to me. I think there is no reason to treat players badly. You can motivate them but if you go too far it can turn into abuse. Psychologists have proven that mean coaches can damage kids. Some people might think it is ok for coaches to treat their coaches bad. I believe that that coaches should treat their players better. There is no reason to make your players pressured into a situation. Also there is no reason to make your players run till they throw up.
First of all, some coaches do not let their players get a drink of water. According to Familydoctor.org, “ Whether you are a serious athlete or a recreational exerciser, it is important to make sure you get the right amount of water before, during, and after exercise.” This shows that it is very important to get water during exercise and that coaches should let their players get water during practice. Mean coaches are going too far and water is a very important part of the human body. It is very important as a coach to let your players take a break and get a drink of water.

Coaches should let their players get proper sleep. According to Nih.gov, “ Getting enough quality sleep at the right time can help protect your mental health, physical health, quality of life, and safety.” This demonstrates that enough sleep can affect the way you play and it can affect your physical health. Many coaches schedule practice late and do not let their players get enough sleep and sleep is a really important part of your physical health. Coaches should adjust their practice schedule and think about how the late practice can affect their players physical health.
“The body loses moisture through perspiration as well as through respiration. Both of these processes speed up during exercise as the body works to cool itself down with sweat, which evaporates from the skin, taking heat with it, and by breathing harder to get extra oxygen to the muscles”(How Much Water Weight Can a Player Lose During a Game?). But you can replace all that lost water in surprising ways. “You can get some fluid through the foods you eat. For example, broth soups and other foods that are 85% to 95% water such as celery, tomatoes, oranges, and melons (Water: Meeting Your Daily Fluid Needs). Foods like fruits, vegetables, and soups combine to make up over 20%, on average, of your water intake every day (How to Increase Water Consumption If You Hate Water). With that being said it’s very important to keep hydrated or risk obtaining very serious medical issues. In an interview with Kevin Mauldin, a highly respected and award winning athletic trainer, he stated. “Hydration in athletes is the most important thing an athlete can do before a game. Hydration will keep the player cool and energized so that he can compete. If a player doesn’t hydrate enough, the risk of heat related symptoms become very likely”
I believe that their should stricter rules on how coaches treat their players. There have been many issues on how coaches treat their players like when coaches yell at their players they may cuss at them instead of explaining to them. When coaches need to talk to one of their players they yank them and pull them and that isn’t really needed.
Home run hitters are not born, they are made. Home runs, now more commonly known as dingers, are becoming a more and more popular statistic in baseball. I have learned the art of hitting long balls from my father, who hit his fair share of them back when he played. Thanks to him and his knowledge that he passed down to my brother and me, we can hit dingers, and, someday, we will teach our kids the same steps that their grandfather taught us. To start off, you need a bat, a hitting tee, and some baseballs.
First, I must disagree with the quote mention because yes if a coach makes rules, I’m sure some will follow to an extent. However, the coach must be expect to follow these rules as well and make sure that they are set their foot down when someone is disobeying these rules and not letting their athletes go without a form of discipline because anyone can make rules yet it depends on if the rules are fair and give opportunity for self-awareness with the athlete understanding what error they have caused and how to not repeat the scenario in the future. Yet, I do agree with resolving conflicts on a case by case basis when the situation escalates to a point where I find it appropriate for such actions to be initiated because discussing the error with the individual on a one-on-one basis may lead to a resolution that may positively end the
Coaching philosophies differ all over the world, from one sport to another. They are the central foundation to any good coach’s success in his/her respected programs. A coach’s philosophy does not only guide and lead the other members of the staff in the right direction, but it also allows each athlete to know what is expected of them, and how they should behave. By being aware of a coach’s philosophy, the athlete is fully responsible for his/her actions both on and off the field of play. In the words of the great Nick Saban, "It 's about what you control, every minute of every day. You always have to have a winning attitude and discipline, in practices, weight training, conditioning, in the classroom, in everything. It 's a process."
Do you know anyone who is interested in playing soccer? Well if you do tell them that I am a team leader for a soccer team and I have some great advice for them. Please tell them that in order to become a good soccer player you must always be a team leader, don't get lazy on the field, and always stretch before a game or practice.
Are you wondering what sport is fit for you? Basketball is fit for everyone, especially you. It is a fun sport and you should try it. Fact Monster claims that the first “basketball hoops” were made out of peach baskets and the first backboards were made out of wire? Every time that someone scored a referee had to fetch the ball by climbing a ladder. Basketball is NOT expensive either, all you need is a ball and a basketball hoop, with a rim. The tallest man to play in the NBA was Gheorghe Muresan, he was seven feet, seven inches tall . Don’t worry you don’t have to be tall to play basketball!
While the majority of coaches are good coaches there are some who can do damage. These coaches have a “win-at-all-costs” mentality and can be really hard on the kids if they are not winning. Another psychological effect is inapposite feeling of superiority. The obsession with sport in our society can put an inflated sense of self on a child. If they are constantly winning or always making touchdowns they feel unstoppable. (Ph.D., 2015) “We must also recognize that participation in football, and team sports in general, has major benefits for fitness and character building. Participation in sports counters the major public health issues of obesity and, perhaps more importantly, the “disengagement” that we all observe in kids these days. Every parent of a teen, and even young children, realizes that a “virtual” world has often replaced the real, live interactions kids used to regularly experience. I strongly believe that participation in team sports has a major positive influence on youth, and we cannot discount the positive impact of this aspect of football. Ultimately, if a child is passionate about football and no other sport or activity, they are almost certainly better off playing football than being inactive and alone.” (Ph.D., 2015)
Reason to Listen: Sports is a relatable topic that most people have at their time, played at least once.
If anybody in here has a child, hopefully at least one of us will, will you let him/her play sports while they are growing up? If not, hopefully this speech will at least show you some benefits from playing sports as a child.
¨Have you watched a game of football and think it is too rough for your kids to play?¨ Well it's not that rough you have good body protection like equipment to keep you safe. Well it is time to stop worrying and let your kid play some pigskin.
because they need to know how much it helps there players. They also need to
Did you know Soccer is the number one sport in the world with more than 4.0 billion people worldwide that play? I'm going to walk you through the key steps to becoming a successful soccer player.
I am so surprised with how important water is for my body. I was a former basketball player and never really realized how important water really was for me. One of the common things that many players do is pretend that they do not need water to show the coaches that you are in better shape than the rest of the players. I now know that this is not only a poor idea, but an unhealthy choice.
The summer, a time of warm weather, long weekends, friends and holidays. It is also the time where many of us put down the junk food, get off the couch and come out of winter hibernation to enjoy the outdoors. It’s often not long after playing your first game of beach volleyball or running to catch the bus when you realise that your heart is racing, sweat is pouring down your face and you are breathing heavily. As you look up and watch everyone still running around you or as your stepping onto the bus only one thought is running through your mind “WOW I am out of shape!”. Now I am not here today to try and convince you to get into better shape. Starting a fitness routine is a commitment that an individual needs to decide on for
