Clyde Volt sounds like a grungy name. When you hear that name, you don’t think, “That sounds like the name of the next president!” You think “I want to stay away from that guy.” Don’t try to deny it, you know you do, even if you’re not willing to admit it. Clyde Volt noticed his peers talking behind his back about his name, and some of the either duller or braver kids even came up to Clyde and gave him a piece of their mind. Clyde didn’t mind, even admired the attention over his name a bit. One particular boy did annoy him quite a bit though. His name was Kenny Baker, and it seemed as though his life goal was to annoy Clyde and make him feel bad about himself. Every morning, when Clyde would walk to school Kenny would jump out of the bushes
Was the Japanese internment an act of justice or an act of cruel severity. The main motivation for Japanese internment was concerns about national security threats.
Through the years, many citizens have worked to maintain the museum. In 2012, the Drumright Historical Society began work to bring the story of The Negro American Series back to the public. At first, they began to share the story with their own city through museum exhibits, speeches to civic groups and their local newspaper. Next, they began to share with the State of Oklahoma through organizations such as the Oklahoma Cultural Heritage Trust, the Oklahoma Museum Association and the Oklahoma Historical

In the fall, Grandma Lynn calls Jack and says she's moving in. That December, Mr. Harvey has been gone over a year, and nobody has been able to find him. Len feels extremely guilty for not solving Susie's case.
A tragedy in its own right must evoke emotion and a response from the audience through effective use of several elements evident in Shakespeare’s and Aristotle’s style of tragic writing. The plot progression of a tragedy should be rather specific under the idea which leads, ultimately, to the downfall of the protagonist. Despite the sorrowful story behind Richard Van Camp’s short story “Mermaids,” the exclusion of several core elements from both styles of writing prevent this piece from being classified a tragedy. “Mermaids” lacked the development of a tragic flaw in the main character, Torchy, and furthermore did not lead the character to their tragic demise, Van Camp also excluded the idea of isolating him over time and rather brought him closer to those around him to get over his inner conflict, which is unlike a tragedy.
As Kit Carson looked out upon the wide expanses of rusty red desert before him, he felt as if he was in another world when compared to his boyhood home in the Missouri frontier (Biography.com). Large spires of rock jutted out of the flat ground as if they had come to life and raced to the skies. Combined with a sprinkling of gigantic mesas, the scene before him was most definitely hellish by description, but had a certain form of beauty not seen anywhere else. This beauty was the driving force that attracted the seasoned frontiersman and explorer to the small town of Taos, New Mexico. It was here he built his permanent home (Weiser).
About a mile North of the town of DeMotte, there’s a small, serene lake, that is surrounded by an overgrown forest. Meanwhile the water was cold, due to springs being filtered into the lake, causing a slight current. While the surrounding forest was filled with small, mainly harmless animals and large, towering trees. A few feet from the lake, there’s an old, abandoned cabin, that was only one story and had four small, rectangular windows covered in dust. The cabin was missing the door and a few side panelings, while many vines are growing up the outside walls of the cabin.

Eckerts was my first job. Also, was the worst job of my life. I was a busser and dealt with gross, slimy people. Customers that would just leave nasty chicken bones and gravy spread all over the table and thrown all over the floor. Leading me to never have any desires toward fried chicken or gravy. EVER AGAIN. Thoughts of chicken dangling with someone else's saliva dripping off the bone leaves me wanting to gag. Notions about gravy, leave me thinking about the circular bowls Eckerts puts it in; the thick brown liquid sloshing around in the bowl slapping my skin. This disgusting liquid left my skin feeling sticky and crusty. Nothing was worse than the two combined in the same bowl. The aroma of fried chicken makes my stomach heavy with vomit.
A family is one of the greatest things to have. Family brings laughter, happiness, and love. In Homer’s, The Odyssey, there are three main steps Odysseus takes in order to be reunited with his family. Odysseus uses wisdom as one step to bring himself home.
Lester Fuller and Edwin Rolfe famous authors said “Never Judge a book by it's cover. Some goes with my brothers. My brother seem nice and polite around friend’s and neighbor’s. They clean up after themselves. both of them smile polite and are very calm with friend and neighbors. It's the exact opposite with our house. They both trash our house dent in doors don’t ask me how, clothes all over the floor and very rude to me and parent's. Don’t believe me? The destruction at home is catastrophic.
At the age of 19 years old I lost an influential person in my life. My role model, my advisor, my rock. For so long I was angry at the idea of having to live the rest of my life without my nana here with me. Instead I should have felt blessed to have had her here in the defining years of my life. I learned to always have my camera with me, whether it be my phone or an actual camera. We have dozens and dozens of memories captured on camera and I am so thankful. It’s amazing how a click of a camera can capture a lifetime of love, lessons taught, and laughter.
The heart is the most complex organ in the human body and without it, the body cannot survive. If the heart does not respond the way its suppose to, it can cause major health altercations or even death. As time has progressed, technology has progressed as well. Scientists have discovered many procedures to help the heart stay in rhythm. Some of the most famous and common procedures discovered are the pacemaker and heart valve replacement. These procedures have become easier over time and are the most reliable procedure to keep the heart functioning. Scientist have also found solutions for arteriosus, which is a defect in the heart that happens right after birth. Doctors are using pacemakers to send electrical impulses to keep the heart in rhythm, replacing or fixing defective valves for proper circulation, and surgeries to clamp PDA. These heart procedures are common and useful.
