I’m writing to be considered for the Sales Associate position at Club Pilates Del Mar. I’ve worked in Sales in a retail context and believe that I can translate those skills very well to promote wellness and fitness through Club Pilates. I am currently a Student at San Diego State University studying public health. I am also studying to obtain my group fitness training certification and should be done by the end of this summer season. Health, wellness, and fitness are a big part of my life and I believe that this should be an important part of everyone else’s as well. With this belief and my experience in sales, I think that I would be a great member of the Club Pilates team. Working with people is important and I would love to be a part
Whether looking to lose those last 10 stubborn pounds, or just trying to bulk up your muscle percentages, Crossfit is one of the most popular workout programs out there for getting in shape. While Crossfit employs a variety of WOD (Workout of the Day) options, here are five of the top exercises for helping you build muscle.
CrossFit is an intense exercise program that features high-intensity workouts. CrossFit athletes perform dynamic exercises like Olympic lifts and plyometric jumps. This workout program uses non-traditional equipment such as sand-bags, kettlebells, water-filled implements and suspension systems. Participants are challenged to do a certain number of repetitions in a workout in a specific time frame. These workouts are intense and involve very fast movements. Agility, flexibility, balance and power are all important concepts in CrossFit workouts. Due to the intensity and precise movements involved in a CrossFit workout, this type of exercise must be performed on a reliable and stable
As a young and motivated individual I am extremely interested in submitting an application for the advertised position with Derrimut Gym.
The 1968 film version of Romeo and Juliet is more tightly; aligned to what Shakespeare intended in consideration of the setting, Juliet’s impression, and verbal exchanges. When analyzing each film, it is clear to see the same plot, just portrayed differently. To begin, the settings of both films took place at the Capulet’s home where Romeo came to meet Juliet. While the 1968 film took more of an authentic path, the 1996 film took an modern path. In the 1996 film, the main setting was the pool, which strays from the play because it is the balcony scene.
The Renaissance was a time of rebirth for Western Europe. The Renaissance changed the economic, political, and social factors of Europe to modern day society opposed to the mid evil way of life. The Renaissance ended the dark ages with its art and thoughts on religion. This was important because it changed society. Economically, trade grew, along with trade value, as the times began to change from city to city. Politically, the authority of the Catholic Church had been swept away along with the conflict between the estates over power. Socially, the arts flourished thought all of Italy and then all of Europe. The Renaissance changed these three factors and thus was important because it changed how we see our modern world today. Coming out of the Dark Ages, Europe was about to change forever.
Students have long gone home for the day. Teachers have just graded the last papers and are locking up their class rooms. But, While all are winding down from a long school week at Jefferson High School in Daly City; It’s what is being set up in the school’s gymnasium that has been the talk of the halls all week long.
The first thought I had when I first stepped into this place was fear. As a toddler, this was a big place to be without my mom being right beside my side. I saw all of the older girls defending their kingdom, flying through the air, in my eyes, perfectly. Knowing one day, I wanted to be just like them. That day, I felt inspired to be the best I could be, pushing myself to be nothing less. From that day on, every time I step into the gym, all I feel is a feeling of gratefulness. Where else could I ever have this feeling?
“Fitness trainers and instructors lead, instruct, and motivate individuals or groups in exercise activities, including cardiovascular exercises (exercises for the heart and blood circulation), strength training, and stretching. They work with people of all ages and skill levels.” (Fitness Trainers, 2012). Trainers also preform fitness assessments to measure their client’s
I would first like to say I enjoyed your Certified Fitness Trainer course and consider it to be severely underrated among the fitness industry. I had great satisfaction upon passing your test and receiving my certification as a fitness trainer. After taking it, I felt like I was better equipped to handle a client and find my place in the fitness world.
Training in Wellness from a Cardio, Nutrition, Stress, and Fitness standpoint has been my favorite portion of the CPOA curriculum. It is the activity I am most excited about implementing from a leadership perspective. I completed the level one TRX certification here at the CPOA. When I return to the Coast Guard Academy, I will be working with other members of the band and coaching them through workouts in informal classes. I plan to model the way at the highest level with regard to fitness and healthy lifestyle going
The Wellness Center seeks to provide its clients with a Yoga Trainer Certification Program that will meet their personal and specific needs and wants, as well as offer the benefits that are currently lacking from other local establishments. In order to fulfill this the following benefits are important:
Today’s society is aging more gracefully, so the need for fitness experts to handle this health conscious demographic is ballooning. Senior fitness is an excellent area of specialization for a personal trainer. The movement to increase the physical well being of young people is also growing. Schools and fitness facilities frequently add personal trainers to their staff who are certified group youth fitness experts.
A personal trainer pushes an athlete to do beyond their expectations and get better. Personal trainers also focus on other things too. Every client that a trainer works with will probably have different goals, expectations, opinions, and medical problems. Getting the client to their goal is not the job, pushing the clients to their best is the only goal. The athlete can’t cheat themselves because a good personal trainer will motivate them to push through it. Most personal trainers change people’s lives and make them better them healthier, better, and stronger. No matter who or what the trainer will always find a way to help you reach beyond your goal for the better. Personal trainers sometimes focus on getting one part of your body stronger
I like to think of myself as a health conscious gym go-er with the sole purpose of achieving a Victoria’s Secret Angel body (their abs are more than enough for motivation). When in reality “looking after my body” tends to come in the format of trying to maintain a healthy diet, hitting the gym in the afternoon, then coming home to a nice cold glass of coke, or whatever available fizzy drink is in my fridge. Healthy… right???
An increasing number of employers require fitness workers to have a bachelor’s degree in a field related to health or fitness, such as exercise science or physical education. Some employers allow workers to substitute a college degree for certification, but most employers who require a bachelor’s degree also require certification. Most personal trainers must obtain certification in the fitness field to gain employment. Group fitness instructors do not necessarily need certification to begin working. The most important characteristic that an employer looks for in a new fitness instructor is the ability to plan and lead a class that is motivating and safe. However, most organizations encourage their group instructors to become certified over time, and many require it. In the fitness field, there are many organizations, some of which are listed in the last section of this statement that offer certification. Becoming certified by one of the top certification organizations is increasingly important, especially for personal trainers. One way to ensure that a certifying organization is reputable is to see that it is accredited by the National Commission for Certifying Agencies.
