My background and life experience is different from all of the other applicant and I know that I am worth investing because as a person I know that I work hard and I can work well with other. And if you ask my friends, they will say the same. I didn’t go to college and pay for it. And I can’t go, if I have to pay for it out of my own pocket. My family don’t have enough money to pay. It is also good to strengthen the knowledge of a student to help them become a better member of the society. “One reason everyone should have the opportunity to go to college is that a college education gives people an opportunity to discover what they are good at” (Sanchez, 124) Some people finds College as a place for great advantages because it helps them enhance their talents and discover themselves. “Without college, most people have limited options and never realize their true potential” (Sanchez, 124) Based from my own experience, education helped me gain knowledge and more understanding in enhancing my communication skills. Learning a new language was one of the biggest challenges that I have experienced. During my stay in the Philippines, I have learned a lot of things. English was taught in our school, but we never really practice how to speak it outside. Because of wanting to improve my skills in learning English, I went to join my school’s Newspaper Club. Fortunately, I got in. Joining the club was a really good experience. It can help increase the ability of a student, especially in communicating with other people. If a person is lacking on personal connections, their communication skills might deteriorate. As an immigrant from another country, learning a new language is not easy. It takes time to learn
Prior to World War Two Japan had been going through an economic crisis and was having issues with its government. The Japanese society was very militaristic and prideful making it a key power in world affairs. Their people have a strong and deep seated loyalty to their country.
Japan is a small island nation off the coast of Eastern Asia. Despite its size, Japan has proved to be formidable both economically and militarily. Since the expedition of Commodore Matthew Perry in 1853 opened up the past feudalistic and reclusive Japan, this nation has expanded and adopted many imperialistic policies as well as taken a more aggressive military stance. Japan has changed in many ways, but has also continued upholding traditional practices throughout 1853 and 1941.
The most ideal translator/interpreter for hard target languages would be someone who grew up speaking or writing target language. Although the United States military has specialist of languages, most are taught the language and may miss certain cues or inflection that would be caught by a person who is fluent with the native language. The task of finding and acquiring native speakers of hard target languages can be a burdensome task. For example, in a terrorist driven country, it may be challenging to find a willing local who speaks or writes the native language fluently for fear of being a “traitor” and the harm that could come to themselves or their families. However, the benefits for a willing individual could be very favorable. A native
Japan fit grow to 1.0 to 3.0 is based on the following situation. First, the Alliance, technically the alliance with United States. It seems that the japan gain power from the alliance. Japan tries to recover from the World War II, and starts to think and refine its role, “in the global community as a responsible stakeholder”. From 1945 to 1960. “Japan and the United States revised the security treaty to upgrade Japan's status in 1960”, and it has flourished during that time. From the 1970s to the end of 1980s, japan become a “systemic supporter”. From 1990 to 2005, Japan become an important part of United Nations and the international affairs to achieve the global peach. And the next period might continue to 2020, the end of Cold War with United States. In sum of the power of Japan refers to the author, Japan is acting world-wide scale, but to some extend its power is limited due to the defeat in World War II and the alliance with United States. These information provide a nice background to understand how Japan fit into the flat world, and the impacts will run through all the development. That is why the author says Japan has “a global ordinary power”. Japan should keep the relationship with America and at the same time improve some other power. In addition to that, Japan is experiencing the increasing competitive power from other Asian countries. “Japan should be robust in its global reach in terms of market access to resources, technological cooperation, and official development assistance”. The level of economic activity and demographics of Japan which is relevant to the expansion
Over the past fifty years Japan has seen significant changes in all aspects of its society and the way it interacts with the outside world. For example, despite suffering a defeat in World War II, Japan soon became one of Asia’s greatest economic powers. In Japan in Transformation, 1952 - 2000, Jeffrey Kingston focuses on various aspects of change in Japanese society and politics in the period after World War II. These include the effect of the US occupation, analysis of postwar politics, the economic boom, changes in demographics, the treatment of women, and foreign policy and security issues.
Studying a foreign language also gives students insight to another culture. As John Christie said, "Learning to speak a foreign language helps you to understand the people who speak the language." Foreign language study helps students to understand why people think other ways and why some of their traditions came to be.
Some students would argue that taking a foreign language class in high school would not benefit them after graduation, as they plan to study a major in which being multilingual is not essential. This may seem reasonable as some majors, such as cosmetology or psychology may not ever use a foreign language nor require further study of a foreign language. However, studies have shown that studying a foreign language builds more skills than just language. Memorization, critical thinking and interpretation skills improve immensely in those students who take a foreign language class in high school (“Benefits and Opportunities” 1). Students can then use these skills to improve academic performance in other areas, improving overall college success.
“One of the greatest and most influential filmmakers of all time”, Federico Fellini once stated that “A different language is a different vision of life” and I, in my turn tend to say that he was perfectly right. A person who speaks more than one language can experience multiple personalities, visions and reflections consisting which language is he speaking. High School students should comprehend the real benefit of speaking a foreign language. Being a multilingual myself and speaking fluently four languages and studying another two, I consider that I am qualified enough to persuade that my argument is strong, plausible and not ultimately-right. In the following paragraphs I am going to address the following three reasons why should other High School students learn at least one foreign language? Firstly, learning a new language enhances performances in the academic domain and makes you smarter. Secondly, knowing a new language is a high estimated and a very valuable characteristic in your professional CV. Thirdly, international travel is more pleasant through knowing a foreign language.

Japans history dates back almost 53,000 years and is filled with interesting and fascinating events. Most of Japans actions have left the major world powers in the world stunned. The base of this amazing country is astonishing just by itself. The base is a bunch of active and large under water volcanoes.
