The significance and implications of part 2 chapter 7 quote is to show the significance of how things were changing in Chicago. In the quote it says how not a lot of audience members enjoyed the poem, even though Monroe acknowledged this she felt as though the poem was brilliant and got five thousand copies made. Even though poetry was a big factor of entertainment at this point of time new and better inventions were more interesting to the people in Chicago and they were starting to shift to a more modern way of entertainment.
Albert Einstein once said, “It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity.” During the 1950s one of the most powerful inventions, the nuclear bomb, was on everybody's mind. An author called Ray Bradbury wrote science fiction texts and he wanted to show how people could died of nuclear destruction because of that nuclear forces it has caused problems in our society. In the story, “There will come soft rains” by Ray Bradbury, there is a house that started to burn down with the city. Therefore, technology has harmed society because society thinks that their inventions can protect them but it ends up harming humanity.
After reading the Gibbins2016 and Baltar2013 articles, they both brought up some interesting points on the genetic makeup of the migrators. The Gibbons2012 article provides the basics of the three types of people who migrated across a bridge to America: Amerindian, Eskimo-Aleut, and Na-Dene speakers. The fossils found after the they migrated, shows certain types of food and the habits of everyday life. (Erlandson et al 2011). Also the copious bones found can help determine the exact hair or skin pigment. I read an article one time about the possibility of extracting certain particles from teeth. After the particles are extracted from the subject they then can help determined the exact location you have lived and the types of food you eat. I
A normal day can turn into a day filled with icy cold snow and warm hot chocolate just by one call. One call that gives everyone around the school district a sigh of relief that they can curl up back in their comfy beds and sleep for an extra two or more hours. Some may wonder how one call makes everyone’s day so much better: it is because it is a call from the school saying there is no school today due to icy conditions. Upon hearing this one can be sure that their phone will be buzzing with ones friends asking what they are doing today, or maybe one snoozes through all the texts and continues to curl up in one’s warm blankets, with dogs heating ones feet. No matter what one chooses to do there always seems to be a trend as one gets older. This trend is that in the grades kindergarten through fifth grade, children love snow days to stay outside and play; then in grades sixth through ninth, children love snow days to stay inside and watch movies; finally children tenth through twelfth grade, children love snow days to again go outside and play.
In 1983, Raymond Carver introduced his short story “Cathedral” to the public. The first-person narrative takes place within the narrator’s home, where his wife is waiting upon the arrival of her blind friend Robert. The narrator, however, becomes more concerned about how Robert’s visit will affect him rather than enjoy the situation. Once Robert arrives, the narrator tries to understand the blind man, but he is unaware of what tasks Robert is capable of performing due to the narrator’s inability to “see”. In time, Robert shows the narrator the difference between looking and seeing through illustrations of a cathedral, drawn by the narrator with his eyes closed. “Cathedral’s” narrator exposes readers to anti-heroic views
Being an athletes is one of the best-paid jobs on Earth. Being that they are paid so much the cost for the consumer is very high. Ahh… Daycare, the good old days. Snacks, play time, and nap time every persons cherished past who has been, wishing they could go back. Daycare is definitely not a form of neglect it’s almost like putting your child on a pedestal. I mean I know from experience, also parents are busy and the employees are well trained.
Many people in our society have been cast away and looked down upon because they are different from us. Others convey these messages including Harper Lee , in To Kill a Mockingbird , and "What , of this Goldfish , Would You Wish ? ",by Etgar Keret. We can accept others in many ways including ending discrimination , disregards people past action or choice , and being able to see stuff from others people's point of view. Humans need to always accept those who are different for the greater good of our society .

Why spend money that is really needed for other things? Why live uncomfortably? Why be trapped in this hole called a home that belongs to another person? Why not live free and peacefully? When a person rents he or she usually throws away money that could be used to purchase something that belongs to them. Money is not easy to come by so why pay out hundreds toward something that is not benefit to the person paying it out. There is no good explanation for making a decision like this. The best option in a situation like this is to buy a house. Buying a house is a better option than renting an apartment.
“Your assignment is to write a persuasive essay and present it to the class in a week. You will be graded based on how convincing it is. Today we will be choosing topics,” announced Mr. Bowerbank, my 7th grade English teacher and ruler of classroom 110. My class simultaneously groaned at the prospect of work. I simply lifted my head with intrigue as it was already May and about time we had our first essay. He then proceeded to give examples of topics we could choose and gave us some time to think before we had to tell him our topic. My classmates were already rushing to tell the teacher their idea lest someone else steal it. That meant the usual abortion, death penalty, or drug use topics were out. I really couldn't think of anything and the teacher was slowly making his way through the remaining students like an executioner beheading criminals in a line. I have always thought that he would make a marvelous supervillain if he had a curly mustache, a tophat, and a cape. Eventually my name was called. I slowly dragged myself over to his desk. Even sitting down, he still seemed to tower over me. “What is your topic Cindy?” As usual in such desperate times, my mind turned to food. “Waffles are better than pancakes.” I figured that a waffle was just a differently shaped pancake with a nicer texture. “Hmm. Excellent topic. I look forward to your essay!” I survived to live yet another day.
The drought has been something that we thought of but never assume to appear. There are many questions that everyone is asking. What happens if California runs out of water? How can I save myself from the drought. Many people are getting angry that no one seems to be doing nothing about it. But the real question is, How will the drought affect our lives?
