The issue of scarcity in the face of climate change is something that cannot be completely solved without the contribution and sacrifice from every single living being on this planet. The rate at which climate change is occurring, is significantly increasing due too various factors, like "biotic processes, variations in solar radiation received by Earth, plate tectonics, and volcanic eruptions. Certain human activities have also been identified as significant causes of recent climate change, often referred to as global warming." In addition, I will also present two possible objections to my argument, followed by my response to one of the objections.

Paragraph 1: Food Scarcity and how it is divided now + how it could be divided justly

Giving everyone what they want versus what they need has obviously lead to over consuming and wasting resources that could have been given to those who do not have access to such resources due to scarcity. In the United States 40 percent of food goes uneaten. (https://www.nrdc.org/sites/default/files/wasted-food-IP.pdf) In 2014 alone, more than 38 million tons of food waste was generated, with only 5.1 percent diverted from landfills and incinerators for composting. EPA estimates that more food reaches landfills and incinerators than any other single material in our everyday trash, constituting 21.6 percent of discarded municipal solid waste.
