The site located on Poyntz Avenue and 11th Street in Manhattan, Kansas. There are two areas on the site; one part has many trees and would be more difficult to change existing topography and the other has no trees and house a greater opportunity to change topography. The trees on the east end of the site are to be kept. Existing street lights are updated to direct light down. Circular structures throughout City Park can be used as a design
This year the National Park Service celebrates its 100th anniversary. Their mandate is to "conserve the scenery and the natural and historic objects and the wild life therein” in an unimpaired condition so that they might be enjoyed by present and future generations." I interviewed Park Service employee Daniel Craighead, an Occupational Safety and Health Specialist, to discuss how occupational safety and training supports the Park Services mandate.
Centennial Parklands is one of the world’s most visited public parklands, with more than 20 million visits made to the Parklands’ annually. The Park is 2.2 square kilometres in area, originally swampland, known as Lachlan Swamps and is located adjacent to another two large public spaces, Moore Park and Queens Park. The Parklands are administered by The Centennial Park and Moore Park Trust, a NSW Government agency whose responsibilities cover low-lying wetlands, ornamental lakes, pine and native forests, expanses of grass, to playing fields, a golf course, tennis and netball courts and the Entertainment Quarter at nearby Moore Park. Centennial Park is one of Australia 's most famous parks and is listed on the Register of the National Estate. [3]
The sloping orientation of the landscape maximises public space whilst having a relatively small footprint. Some roofing areas of the building
The City of Lafayette wrapped up its Summer "Art in the Park" series Tuesday night. The event was held on Memorial Island in Columbian Park.
Old Park: June 10, 2016 at 11:00 A.M in Linda Ca, as I walked through the neighborhood to the park I was going to observe I noticed that all the houses around that park were all homes that looked like they have been there for over 50 years. When I walked through the gate to the park I noticed that the grass around the back of the park had dead grass. I was walking on a dirt path to the park. When I approached the park I recorded that there was only green grass around the park area and the front entrance. There are two entrances one in the front of the park and the other one is in the back. The sidewalk around the park is in the shape of a dog bone, inside of the sidewalk was filled with a pasty color bark. On the right side of the park on the sidewalk there were two picnic tables and between them was a barrel for trash.
In the redevelopment of Elmwood District Project Area, we designed a vibrant city center based upon community amenities and facilities along 9th Avenue, Jefferson Street, and Adams Street. A graceful cityscape gradient present in Blocks 1, 2, and 3, central parks and amenities, and beautifully restored buildings focuses the energy of the district to a prosperous city center.

According to the informant, the park is also of valuable importance as it provides recreational
The type of people who goes to older park seems to be older I observed 8 people in all and all of them had one thing in common. They were all teenagers. I figured that only 5 people in all were being active because they walked there. The group of three guys came to the park by a vehicle so they weren’t active. Since this park seems to be hidden, peaceful and an old park. That’s why v me with even more questions like “Why are Old Parks abandoned?” and “How come this park doesn’t use up all the space it
After reading both passages carefully, I think if you have a dog park in a community city it will benefit people. People that have a dog cannot have a lot of fun with their pet dog, and there is no safe place they can go. If you take your dog to a regular park there is a greater chance of someone getting injured or your dog getting injured. On the passage it says that dog bites whent from 40,000 to fewer than 4,000 per year. If humans get to have their own park then animals should have there own park as well. A dog park can raise property value in their community. Exercise is important for dogs it helps them in health and having a longer life. Dont us humans need exercise in are lifes to be healthy, and to live longer. Why should it be diffrent
It was a normal day, and bob was playing in the park. OINK! A huge pig darted out and hit him. He was thrown up in the air and did a backflip, and landed on his head. His mom found him and said “oh well, I didn't like him anyway.”, and walked away. The pig felt bad for him, so it came over, leaned over his head, which was bent at a funny angle, and spit in his face. This seems very dumb, but this pig had spit that could turn any dead person into a pig zombie. The kid/pig zombie woke up with a “SNNNNORKKKKKK!” (Pronounce that anyway you like.) He was very mad at his mom, so he picked up a stick and started to smack her car.
For my first experience with ethnographic fieldwork, I observed a superbowl party that began at 5 p.m. on Sunday, February 5, at the VFW Hall, which is located on 1490 Hwy 594 in Monroe, LA. I started my observations at 6 p.m. when about 30 people arrived and ended at 7:30 p.m. I was not very lowkey due to the people being family, so they thought I was just doing homework. I observed a group of male and female African Americans between the ages 21 and 30 that consisted of seven people. During my observation, I saw the two-culture approach and the psychoanalytic theory comes into play while noticing the different conversational styles and altercasting performed between the members.
Hayden Park was an interesting place for a Freeze-Frame assignment. For those who have not heard of a Freeze-Frame, it is simply sitting in one spot for 15 to 20 minutes observing ones surroundings. So to continue, at first glance, Hayden Park is a typical Valley of the Sun type park. Most of these typical parks have grass, picnic tables, some trees, and usually some sort of sports availability such as a basketball court or soccer field, or both. In addition, the parks also have pleasant surroundings. But Hayden Park is located in South Phoenix, so automatically the typical standard for parks is altered.
A ways away from a town that I call home, I found a happy place. I often find myself walking through the park by myself. The beautiful trees, the way the yellow and red leaves crumple under my feet every step I take. When the flowers bloom and how it's the most spectacular sight you could ever imagine seeing, all the different colors that appear. When you breathe in and you get this smell of purity, you feel free and alive. Sometimes I like to sit on the old wooden bench where the bench frame is a little rusted, and I get rid of my thoughts and my eyes search the sky. In the winter the icy breeze makes me shiver, and the cold air I take in, is like sitting in front of an air conditioner and breathing in. Some mornings the sun beams across the sky, which is not quite blue yet, but the sun has almost fully risen. When the wind blows, it grazes over the blades of grass. Some days I just stand and take a deep breath in and I can taste the spring. When summer comes around, and the bees are buzzing, and the hot sun beats on the back of my neck, I lay on the soft grass and listen, to the birds chirping a beautiful song, and the kids playing in the park. The sky is the bluest view in sight.
