Title: City of Bones
Author: Cassandra Clare, No I have not read other books by this author.
Genre: The genre of this book is fiction. I think kids my age would like to read this book because this book involves teens and it shows some scenes in which teenagers now can somewhat relate to. I do typically read these kinds of books when i'm assigned to do something I have to be interested in. If it wasn't for books like these I honestly probably would not read books at all. If i'm being honest I hardly read. Although I do like these specific books by Cassandra, but I’m picky as to what I will read.
Characters: The main characters of the book were Clary, Fray, and Jace Wayland. Clary finds out about the shadow-hunter world, which leads to her mom

She perseveres through challenges that no normal mundane could do. She shows strength persistence even when the challenges are overbearing.
Quotes: The parts that I enjoyed best were when Clary started understanding why Jace is the way he is, for example, “The boy never cried again, and he never forgot what he'd learned: that to love is to destroy, and that to be loved is to be the one destroyed.”
My evaluation: While reading the City of Bones, I realized a few points that really stuck with me. The first one was how Cassandra Clare would always keep me guessing. Whenever I would try and assume would happen next, it never turned out the way you would seem. This worked really well for this book because I would want to keep finishing it because I would want to know what happened next. That is a really good strategy to use for other books, but it could ruin them if the author gets off topic with it and goes off of plot for making sense. The major theme that I have stated before in this report is on how to handle new and challenging obstacles in life. This is really effective because it could be applicable in real life, even though it is fiction. This book appealed to me on the more emotional side since all of Clary’s life, her mom has lied to her to protect her, yet it ended up doing more harm than good.
She is very brave, caring and protective. She has risked her life for others. She has been brave and shown it by rescuing Otto from rebel soldiers. She had a very high chance of dying trying to save him. “ the teenager wrapped his arms around him and carried him inside the restaurant door, Otto lolling in his hands...I had to act now...
Ethos she possess a positive character that is used to influence the public that she actually uses proactive and you see how beautiful she is on her photo.
She obviously sticks out from the rest of the characters as caring and passionate and is often represented in a form of innocence. All in all, this rejection of her surroundings helps her become the best form of herself, but unfortunately, innocence often fails to survive in the
She is strong. She can fight very well. She was in a wrestling match once toke five guys down. She can carry me around the room anytime i want. Any time someones locker is jammed becawoman on the way.
The genre is Fiction. This book is written in a very unique style, in that it switches point of view from Craig to Lio alternately, voicing their thoughts directly, just the way they think them. It makes it so much fun to read, because you don't feel like you're getting a narrator's side of the story. You're right in the action.

(Seisser 4). The novel appeals to a higher degree to the younger audience because the younger audience of this genre read about “teens in these novels [that] have to face far bigger issues and even survive day to day.” (4). This genre fills its audience with the
Genres are classifications of literature, easily distinguished by content. Young adult literature is very popular and commonly read by teens. The novel Live To Tell by Lisa Harrington is classified as young adult fiction because it contains intense subject matter, and language and contemporary issues teens can relate to.
This was my first reading experience with Ferencik and I will certainly be looking out for her next thriller, hopefully soon! There were many aspects I enjoyed about the book such as the writing style, with her detailed and great narration, and characters you can't help but be compelled to. The characters were also another thing I enjoyed about this book, my favorite being Pia and Mini. These women who struggled with many things, but it was so intriguing to see their characters develop and really get to see their stories. Ferencik certainly delivered well in this novel!
The genre of the story is young adult fiction. This book would generally be read by teens/young adults. These types of books do peak my interest as they help me relate current events in life. Books like The Upside of the Unrequited usually are in my personal library. This genre of books are personally a favorite due to having so many real life encounters.

Type of Book: nonfiction, I think people my age would read these types of books even though I typically don’t read these types of books, I really did enjoy this book.
Can you ever imagine a future where demons roam among us and people called shadowhunters have to hunt them? Well, in the City of Glass by Cassandra Clare, that's exactly what happens. Cary finds out that her mother was once a shadowhunter and her dad is evil villain trying to kill all the shadowhunters, wanting to make a new generation, a better one. Clary, a 16 year old girl, didn't know much about her life. She thought she knew her dad died in the military, but she was wrong.
"I look at my homely sketch. It doesn't need anything. Even through the river in my eyes I can see that. It isn't perfect and that makes it just right" (198). This relates to her character traits because it shows her big emotions/expressions and that those emotions change her personality and reputation and that all gives her encouragement to finally finish and like her
