The best leader in the book was Christina because not only did she lose her husband and was forced to go back to Parr’s Landing, the one place that has brought her so much pain and suffering, but she made these sacrifices for the well-being of her family. Another great trait that Christina possesses is that she voices her opinions strongly but also knows when it is best to not do so and just listen. As stated in the novel a good leader knows when to make his or her voice heard and the time when he or she needs to listen to those around them. 3. Give examples of how this character (listed above in #2) exhibited Modeling the Way, Inspiring a Shared Vision, Challenging the Process, Enabling Others to Act, and Encouraging the Heart. (10 points) The form in which Christina Modeled the Way is when she stood up to Adeline to defend those she loved and what she believed in. This is my example of how she Modeled the Way because she was able to explain the values she has by finding her voice and affirming them to her mother-in-law whether she agreed with her or not. Christina did not let Adeline’s terrible attitude or hate towards her deter her from teaching Morgan the values that she believes are most important.
