The similarities and differences of these two stories can be represented through the traits of the characters. Each story has a protagonist and antagonist. In Brother Dear, it is Sharlene. She is the youngest and most comedic person of the family. She teases her brothers often and is considered “the brat of the family.” (Bernice Friesen, 28) In The Charmer, the protagonist is Winnifred. She is the opposite of Sharlene, instead of teasing her brother, Winnie looks up to him and is always there to help him. She is always very eager to please him, “when he beckoned, I followed, at top speed.” (Budge Wilson, 101) These two characters have similarities as well; they both have brothers who put up examples on how to act, for example in Brother Dear, Greg’s actions about skipping school and deciding not to go

In both stories Cinderella’s mother died while she was still young, and her father re-married a vile woman with two equally wretched daughters who abused Cinderella. Further similarities include the event held by the King to find a bride for his son, the Prince and Cinderella receiving beautiful clothes and shoes to wear to the festivities. Also, in both stories the prince chose Cinderella without hesitation and her identity was not discovered by other party goers. A slipper was left behind in each story as well, which remained how the prince eventually discovered the mystery princess to be Cinderella so he could take her as his bride after many failed to make the fit.

The two fairy tales with a twist, Cinder by Marissa Meyer and Book of a Thousand Days by Shannon Hale, are based on stories written by the Grimm Brothers. They share many similarities, such as the two main characters who are the lowest class in their societies and the overall theme of hard work pays off in the end. However, while Cinder is unwanted in her story, Dashti, the main character in Book of a Thousand Days, plays an important role in her village. Additionally, Cinder is set in a futuristic world while Book of a Thousand Days is set in the past.

After reading the book and watching the movie, I have noticed that Cinder and Cinderella have more differences than similarities. In the thrilling, emotional book “ Cinder” by Marissa Myers, a story that takes place in New Beijing, a cyborg that works as a mechanic is a citizen with a very interesting past. She is criticized by her own step-mother and is accused of her sisters sickness. In the movie, “ Cinderella” directed by Kenneth Branagh, Ella’s father unawarely passes away. She ends up with her horrible stepmother and her cruel stepsisters.

Cinderella and Little Ashes are two very similar stories in fact they are almost the same exact stories

Although Cinder and Cinderella have many differences they have more similarities. With Cinder and Cinderella. Cinder is a cyborg mechanic that works in New Beijing. Cinderella is a regular teenager that loves to sing dance and make everyone joyfull. They also have many similarities, but we will get to those later into the essay.

They both come with difference, like in the European version cinderella had a fairy godmother but in the chinese version had a magical fish. The European version was influenced by the the stories before it influenced by culture as well as Yeh-Shen and the European version of cinderella they both have their similarities but the as the Chinese version but they both share some aspects to the original tail of cinderella. for example, the stepmother and stepsisters they exist in both versions but so does the slipper in the European version the sipper is made out of glass while in the Chinese version it's golden but they are both slippers and

they both have magical items given to them. First In Grimm's version of Cinderella, Cinderella has a dress that was given to her from a tree that she got from a twig that grew from her tears in cinderlad he gets a spotted bulls tail from a magical bull that died from his father after finding out

After reading the Novel Cinder, and watching the Disney movie Cinderella, I now understand how these characters are very different and very alike. I see how they have more differences than similarities.They are both 16 & Princesses they also both attended the ball. They both get the same type of actions towards just expressed in different ways. I will explain to you all the differences they have than similarities that i have discovered in this novel.

The fairy tales Cinderella and Ashputtle are very similar.The movie Cinderella is based off of The Brothers Grimm original story, Ashputtle.Both of the fairy tales have similarities and differences.

The first difference between the Perrault’s and the Lee’s version of Cinderella is that the mother was dead when the story begins but in the Lee version, the mother was alive at the beginning of the story. The story starts at once upon a time in the Perrault’s version, but the Lee’s version started the story off as 200 hundred years ago. Another difference is that the stepmother was friendly and nice in the lee version of Cinderella but in the Perrault version, the stepmother was cruel and wicked. In the Perrault version, the step sisters had a strong temper like their mother’s and wasn’t as beautiful as Cinderella but in the Lee’s Cinderella story, the stepsisters were extremely nice and sweet. The Protagonist Disposition in the Perrault version was very kind and sweet, and even to her stepsisters but in the lee’s version, the Protagonist Disposition is evil and rude. While getting ready for the ball in the Perrault version, the Cinderella is helped by a fairy godmother that was sent to her and in the Lee’s version, Cinderella was helped by the Satanas. Cinderella forgives her stepsisters and marries them off to wealthy noblemen in the Perrault version but in the Lee’s version, Cinderella sent them to get attacked by the villains who eventually took over the city. The last difference between Perrault’s and Lee’s version of Cinderella, is that the Cinderella shoes were glass in Perrault’s story but in Lee’s story, Cinderella shoes were glass slippers, but they could change shape and size, but the shoes could only fit on her.

In the end of both book and movie Cinder and Ella both find out they are the rightful queens to their kingdoms. Between similarities and differences I feel Cinder and Ella have more differences.

There are many different versions of the classic story, Cinderella. Grimm’s version was just as wonderful, but had more twisted moments than Disney’s story. Both stories are about a girl who overcomes the cruelty of her evil stepmother and stepsisters and ends up living happily ever after. Although, there are many differences, there are three that stand out. The three main differences are, the father died in disney's version but did not die in Gimms version, there was no fairy godmother in Grimm's version but there was in Disney's, and in the original version the stepsisters cut their heels and toes off so it would fit in the slipper but in the Disney version they did not.

It is sad that they story that we want to be true is the story that only happens in fairy tales. What we desire most in life is what we tend to not get. For cinder that is her reality but for ella it is different in the end she gets her fairy tale that cinder can only dream of. Cinder and ella both have two step sisters. Cinder in the end is left with one sister named peony because of a plague

Walt Disney’s Cinderella is adapted from the original fairy tale written in 1697 by Charles Perrault. There are some key differences between Walt Disney’s Cinderella and Charles Perrault’s Cinderella. In Charles Perrault’s tale, Cinderella’s father is not dead, but the father is controlled by the stepmother. Cinderella’s younger stepsister is much more polite than the older stepsister, who calls Cinderella Cinderwench. The king in Perrault’s tale hosts a two day Ball, which Cinderella attends with the help of the fairy godmother. During Cinderella’s preparation for the first night of the Ball, Cinderella helps the fairy godmother find a coachman when the fairy godmother could not find one.
