When it comes to Word Tabernacle, we are a family that makes sure it takes care of its members. So when one of us is in need of help, it is only customary that we extend our care the best way we know how. Whether that means prayers, home visits, or more, we do all that we can to ensure those going through that they are never alone. This is especially true for a very special family member of ours named Solomon. At the young age of 5, Solomon, son of Solomon and Nedra Maryland, was diagnosed with leukemia and has had a remarkable fight (thanks be to our Heavenly Father). I am writing this article to you, Word family, to bring awareness to, not only the Maryland family, but also to this amazing organization that helps support local families who
So this is the most immediate and number one prayer for YEF Atlanta. Through only 3 leaders, YEF can begin evangelizing and developing clubs on other campuses in Atlanta. Through that growth, YEF ATL can begin leading the way for YEF in the other states in the Southeastern region. YEF Atlanta can only do so much, but it is through prayer that God truly works. YEF ATL sincerely and humbly ask everyone to keep them in your prayers and specifically pray for three great leaders by Easter 2017. God sees the dim and faltering lights in people’s hearts all over the Southeast. They are seeking something more; they are seeking the truth. As the center of the Bible Belt, both the Atlanta church and YEF desire to revive the people’s relationship with God and become like a beacon of hope, love, and true peace within the community surrounding the church and to plant many lighthouses throughout the Southern United
Greater Sweet Home Missionary Baptist Church started as a mission doing the work of the Lord in 1969. We toiled tirelessly, and in 1970, we felt the call to organize into a church. A meeting was called, and the motion to organize the church and to elect Reverend Andrew Kelly as Pastor was established. Pastor Lloyd Johnson of New Third Heaven M.B. Church and Pastor J.P. Gordon of New St. Matthew M.B. Church proceeded to assist in the organization of the church.
Pray for Rev. Lorenzo Collado, association president, as he ministers to pastors in the United States. Pray for God’s wisdom as he leads the association, and that he can provide a training seminar with the purpose of bringing awareness for soul care among the pastors and their families.
Our cultural norms come from books, art, and stories, passed down from ancient times. When one’s sources are biased, then one’s culture and way of life are biased; this is how sexism was created, and how it still exists within our society today. In The Odyssey, Homer’s sexist portrayal descriptions of characters, and powerful diction perpetrates misogynistic gender norms that still influences our actions.
After the Grant Administration Scandal and the intimidation of Political Machines like Tammany Hall, Americans in the 1890s were fed up with the traditional Republican and Democratic parties. The people were ready for change, and from this dissatisfaction, the Populist Party was born. The Populist Party, also call the “People’s Party,” sought to transform the federal government in favor of public interest. The Populist Party helped to bring about change that Americans wanted, and the efforts of this party are still noticeable in today’s government.
I began to pray for my co-worker and for our situation. In the beginning it wasn’t easy, but as the days went on it became easier and I felt blessed to be able to pray for her.
Please pray for a Celebrate Recovery Bible study taking place at Painesville Hispanic Church (Ohio). Pray that lives are transformed.

Pray for Invigorate at the Lake, a conference for youth workers, August 14–16 sponsored by the Central District. Pray that this would be a time of equipping and refreshment.
One of the substance abuse interventions I recently led, resulted in a very public miraculous healing. I was contacted by the McCracken family early in 2015 to lead a last chance intervention for their son Jeff. Jeff McCracken was barely alive when we got him to treatment. Once he arrived at the facility we had in place, they immediately sent Jeff to the hospital. His medical condition was dire, he was given two months to live and sent to Hospice. In Hospice, Jeff’s parents requested our team to pray over him. Within days of that event, Jeff had an incredible turn around and was released from Hospice and entered a program. I sponsored Jeff throughout the recovery process. God has utterly transformed his life. Dubbed a modern day “Lazarus,”
I hope you see the value in what I will accomplish. Furthermore, I ask that you consider partnering with me in prayer. I ask that you could lift me and the teams I will be working with up in prayer that we will have traveling mercies, healthy bodies, and allow God to use us to further His kingdom. Prayer is important as it allows us to be successful as we follow God’s leading in ministry.
