Chuck Berry is known by many as the “Father of rock n roll.” Berry was born in St. Louis Missouri on October 18, 1926. Growing up Chuck wasn't the most innocent person. It has a very fun and high school friendly feel to it. The album has 12 songs on it. The first song on the album is called "Almost" Grown.” When I listen to the song the first thing I noticed about it was the course, "Don't bother me, leave me alone. Anyways I'm almost grown." I think this song is the way for Chuck to tell people to leave me alone because he's been trying to get his life together. Some of the instruments that I noticed were the guitar and the piano. The beat of the song is very energetic and it made me want to dance. The next two songs on the album are called “Carol” and “Maybelline”. Both of them are named after females. “Carol” has a very Hawaiian/beachy feel to it. It sounds upbeat and groovy, but the lyrics kind of sound like a advice. For example, "Oh, Carol, don't let him steal your heart away.” If feels like he's talking to younger girls about being careful around men. I think this is something a high school girl in the 50’s would listen to. “Maybelline” on the other hand has a very country/hillbilly feel to it. Sounds like a fun song to listen to if you were drunk at a bar. It is a little faster than your average country song but it still works really well with the instruments that are
