White Christmas is a tradition in my family. My Great-Grandmother started it years ago and my Grandmother (Mum) has carried on the tradition to my Mom and now all of her granddaughters. It is a time of togetherness, where we sing-along with the movie, snack on finger-foods and talking and remembering past years of Christmases. This Irving Berlin movie first aired in the movie theater in 1954, in the midst of many musicals. It is by far, one of the best Christmas movie that was ever made. I hope to continue this tradition with my children and grandchildren, and keep it going for my Great-Grandmother. White christmas opening setting is Christmas Eve 1944 on the front line nearing the end of World War II. Two Army guys, Captain Bob Wallace, an already famous New York City entertainer and Private Phil Davis perform a Christmas program and a farewell production for General Tom Waverly just before and air raid on the troops. Private Davis saves captain Wallace from a falling building and injures his arm in the process. Shortly after the bombing. Private Davis is recuperating in medical tent when Captain Wallace stops to check on him and to thank him one more for saving his life. Private Davis has written a duet and proposes that they perform it together when the war is over. Captain Wallace tells him that he works along then Private Davis grabs his own arm and rolls his eyes and says that he understands. Captain Wallace then tells him that he is indebted to him and they
Firstly, A Christmas Story changes the style of the framed narrative. In the story, Ralph Parker is looking back on his childhood after a woman expresses her opinion on “disarming the toy industry.” However, the movie opens inside Ralph’s childhood with an adult Ralph as the narrator. This change does not take away from the story, though. It allows the audience to be put right into the action of the story rather than making the audience wait for something to happen that causes the narrator to look back on their life.
Again, last year's Hallmark Christmas movies definitely introduced me to some incredible talent, and Mélanie St-Pierre happens to be one of those new faces (at least, new to me). I first saw her as Samantha Cross in Christmas Encore, and after requesting an interview, I discovered so much more about her and her solid body of work. Yet again, I have the honor of sharing a lovely, vibrant, gifted woman with all of my readers!
Christmas like Thanksgiving believe it or not, do happen to share many traits. One major factor that the two own is the warmth and love of bringing family and close friends together. It’s the few times a year that everyone has a reason to all gather around to
On Christmas Eve was a Tradition. They told the story almost Perfectly, stopping to Discuss if it was this word or that word, and if they said the lines in the right Order. It made for a Interesting night.

My grandma’s living room, particularly at Christmas time, is one of my favorite places to be. Ever since I was young, I can remember going to my grandma’s house on Christmas Eve and having the time of my life. Every aspect of Christmas Eve at my grandma’s house gives me so much warmth and joy to think about. All the traditions, memories, and laughs that are exchanged on that one night, in that one room, every year, will always remain priceless to me.
I thought this showed what Christmas is really

The Ghost of Christmas is most responsible for fixing Scrooge’s tattered personality. These were the words in my heart when I concluded reading A Christmas carol. The ghost of the Christmas present showed Scrooge that the salary that he thought was bountiful, was actually forcing the Cratchits to live in poverty. The Ghost of Christmas past also showed Scrooge that even in poor times Christmas can be celebrated. The Cratchits didn’t have an expensive meal, it was all they could afford.Despite how poor they were it was a great meal, not because of the price but because their happiness and satisfaction. It wasn’t about the money, because happiness can’t be bought. The Ghost informed Scrooge that if Tiny tim would die if he didn’t have further medications. As a result to Scrooge begged and pleaded to the Ghost to have mercy on the naïve boy.The ghost of christmas present warmed Scrooge’s heart on the right spot, because he knew that Scrooge was a good soul in a cold heart.
They also said that they are looking forward to celebrate a white Christmas as they haven’t done it in years. The pair is evidently looking forward to celebrate the Holiday as they already have to kids to enjoy with.
First evidence, “It's the most wonderful time of the year”(1; 1,4). This is the theme which is the most wonderful, exciting, happy and amazing time of the year. Second evidence from the song, “There'll be parties for hosting marshmallows for toasting and caroling out in the snow there'll be scary ghost stories and tell of the glories of the Christmas long, long ago”(3,5).This states the fun activities that families do together around the winter time and Christmas season making them enjoyable traditions. Third and last evidence,“They'll be mistletoe going and hearts will be glow when love ones are near”(3,6). This refers to the love spread and given during christmas.
It is curious that as children, humans have the ability to observe and remember details of specific situations and instances yet lack the ability to describe them. Truman Capote, as a grown man, took advantage of his vivid memories and composed the short work, "A Christmas Memory." The story begins in late November, a month symbolic of all the years gone by that Capote could remember beginning preparations for Christmas fruitcakes.
A feel-good Christmas story for older kids and their parents, Elf trades heavily on Will Ferrell's physical comedy skill set. The film offers good and awkward moments in equal measure in the tale of an out-of-place "elf" searching for his real father and trying to reignite the Christmas spirit. There’s been a lot of hatred and prejudice clogging the news outlets during winter, even during a time of year when a large percentage of the world is supposed to be celebrating the arrival of Christmas and flurries of warm, fuzzy thoughts. Even if you’re not celebrating Christmas, there are still plenty of reasons to have warm, fuzzy thoughts. And the warm fuzzes, you know, can cross cultures, languages, climates, and skin colors. They can be profound, too, or silly. In the midst of so much intolerance and confusion, of bitterness and cynicism, I feel, once again, that a little bit of a good movie can do a lot to bring to mind the silliness of war and the healing power of peace and understanding, even under the most ridiculous of circumstances. Which is why, today, I recommend—seriously—the movie Elf.
Something I love about Christmas in Florida is how it’s really quit then get louder in the night times.I love unwrapping all my gift under the Christmas tree. Next Christmas I mit even go to the Christmas Parade in Delray Beach to see all the lights, color and the performances.Especially when I was in Haiti there where big festivals with alot of colors in the streets. I love seeing my family members get their give from me and their face expression when they open it.
I think Christmas has always been one of my favorite holidays. Maybe because of the special atmosphere that you can feel everywhere, in shops, restaurants , pubs and even streets, where you can hear the magical carols, or maybe it's because of its religious background, but what I can tell you for sure is that I can't think of anything more exciting than the image of the entire family preparing the Christmas Tree or fixing the Christmas dishes.
