There are multiple concerns involving our employees when it comes to this decision. Some of these concerns being the job security, pressure, and lack of promotion encouragement that will affect our employees and business as a whole. The first aspect to bring into discussion is job security for our employees. If a full time employee were fired, this would raise concerns for the other employees at Chocoholics. The employees would feel concerned of the possibility of losing their positions as well, especially since local unemployment rates have been drastically increasing in recent times. Both our managers have been putting in extra hours without overtime pay. By firing a manager you are also expressing to the other employee that Chocoholics doesn’t
The purpose of this memo is to discuss the opposing views of shareholders and stakeholders, evaluating our decision based on multiple ethical principles, focusing on Chocoholics Anonymous profitability and ethical integrity.
While assessing the needs of the Chocoholics Anonymous organization our team agreed unanimously that we wanted to gain the most value out of this project. We first sat down and decided our approach for how to handle this project in the most professional and business simulating way possible. During this sit down we agreed to treat this project like a real business venture. For that we would use a hybrid approach that consisted of some project management techniques as well as agile software

In order to curb his cravings for alcohol, the French doctor used a muscle relaxant named baclofen to “flip a switch” and get rid of his cravings for alcohol. He initially tried lower doses which did not seem to have an effect, but higher doses of the drug allowed the doctor to rid himself of the cravings for alcohol, and eventually he was indifferent to alcohol after the drug. Later it was found that there were more cases where this finding was supported.

Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) is a fellowship for both men and women who have or had a drinking problem in their lifetime. AA is a nonprofessional, peer ran group. AA is open to anyone who wants to do something about their drinking problem no matter your age or education level. They are usually free and is an amazing place for you to tell your story and listen to others, because you are not the only one going through these struggles. AA started back in 1935 after a meeting between Bill, a New York stockbroker, and Dr. Bob S., a surgeon, who were both hopeless alcoholics. The use to attend a non-alcoholics fellowship that focuses on spiritual values in daily life. Bill got sober from these meetings and then started working with other alcoholics
I must admit, I had some anxiety about this assignment. I don’t know if it was the negative preconceived ideas I had or the thought of being a passenger on the ride of people’s intimate thoughts and feelings surrounding addiction. One thing is for sure, it was quite different than I had imagined it would be. I grew up in a religious family, and I consider myself a Christian. Based on my life long experiences AA had an air of religiosity and maybe a cult feel to it. Alcoholics Anonymous program structure had its own set of beliefs, purpose and ritualistic procedures that governed this community of people that made it a religion. Additionally, repetition, in “working the steps”, serves as a tool to
The history of alcohol and drug abuse can be dated back for hundreds of years around the world; in addition, the side effects from abuse can last just as long. The extent of alcohol and drug abuse may change dramatically due to societal views and normality such as the Prohibition era and the legalization of medicinal marijuana. Understanding alcohol and drug abuse means that one must not examine the behavior of the drinker, but also the place, time, and context of the consumption of drugs and alcohol. Dating back to the Mayflower, the New World welcomed the brewing of beer and ale as a tradition of the early culture. The consumption of alcohol was excessive- it was consumed from the crack of dawn to the crack of dawn, at work, alone, together,

This paper is a general philosophical enlightening exploration on how an individual may get to salvation Furthermore a portion of the assorted Christian convictions on the redemption request. One can see the person and the bigger new world church advancement. The writer endeavors to demonstrate the reader a minor example, of an extensive subject, salvation, however, God, the Rock, adores the world, and he is passed it all, and he sent his child Jesus to spare, uncover and restore the world. I feel that at this point in the presidential election process, the argument for Hillary Clinton is pretty simple and can be summed up as “the stakes are simply just too high.” However, I understand that many people feel differently about this issue. Throughout the primary election process, I know a lot of people have felt as though they must choose between the lesser of two evils. This sentiment has caused some to vote for a third party, and some to abstain from choosing a presidential candidate entirely. While I understand that this election has been trying, and that these feelings of disappointment are very real for several Americans, I hold the belief that the stakes are simply just too high to abstain from the vote. In this paper, I will attempt to demonstrate just how qualified Hillary Clinton is to be the President of the United States of America. She has 30 years of experience in government, and supports positions on issues that I feel all Americans should care about. These issues include children’s access to health care, education, and her economic plan. Foreign affairs are also increasingly important, and income inequality has been an issue for years. I hope to weigh the issues Hillary Clinton plans to take on if she is elected president against Donald Trump as a candidate. The two have vastly different experiences and qualifications, but as we have all likely noticed, they also have vastly different characters. I hope I can make a case for why you should vote for
Beverages of the non-alcoholic variety include: juices, sodas, milk, tea, coffee and energy drinks to name a few. While these drinks have a variety of health benefits, it is helpful to lookout for the ones that are low in sugar. Sodas and artificially sweetened juices are high in sugar and can pack on the pounds. Plus many beverages contain caffeine, which can have adverse effects as high doses. Many beverages provide great resources of antioxidants, nutrition and
Alcoholism is a prominent substance abuse issue in Western society. The treatment method of controlled drinking as opposed to abstinence is a continuing cause of controversy in alcohol research to this day. The US is different from Europe in its acceptance of controlled drinking as a goal of treatment: “in the US alcohol dependence is typically depicted as a ‘recurring disease’ and the ‘successful abstainer’ as a ‘recovering’ though never ‘recovered’ alcoholic” (Coldwell, 2005). Depending on the alcohol abuse patient’s individual characteristics, either controlled drinking or abstinence is chosen as a treatment.
The employees are a big part of the company and they should stay together in order to solve the crisis. For example in the second problem that Coke confronted was because of their employees.
