As a babysitter, I have never seen any set of parents who raise their kids the same way. Every couple is going to discipline and raise their children differently. This is why child rearing is such an interesting process. There are so many ways to raise a kid and each way might have the same or completely different outcomes. I interviewed Jennifer Stein and asked her about her disciplining practices and she explained to me how she believes it is important to make sure the child is aware of the exact thing they did wrong and that they reflect on it and apologize. When her daughter (Allison) was a baby Jennifer would discipline her child from biting her by stopping feeding her. If her daughter pinched her she would set her down to teach her if …show more content…
She matured in those months probably more than a two year old should ever have too, but it is not necessarily a bad thing either because she now wants to be a doctor.” “Allison does not tend to be more shy and cautious, but once she warms up she loves to play and gives great hugs.” After talking with Jennifer, I thought this was such an amazing example of how the environment and situations can really impact a kids’ development socially or even physically. Being in a hospital did not only effect Allison’s health and physical development of weight and more, but also her maturation and social skills. Being in a hospital took her away from other kids her age at church. Moppets, and weekly playdates, which made her a little less
To help children advance physical and intellectual competence as a childcare provider you should always find ways to incorporate fun aspects into learning. This can be established through the use of technology. Technology as we all may know is something that we use daily. It makes finding out information simple, easy and accessible for little kids with the help of a parent. Websites such as Star fall and ABCYA are two sites that offer children a fun and easy to access source of learning that they can do at home or on the go. Through the use of technology we can help our children excel and develop cognitively as well as use computers and other gadgets in an engaging way.
Working with children can a fun and adventurous. They bring back your imagination, and creativity. One way to work with children every day is to open a home daycare. To become a successful daycare owner, you have to know the legal rules and regulations and be able to understand the concepts of childhood development.

Learning how to find a nanny online really is not all that difficult. With a little time, effort, and the use of one's common sense finding a nanny online can be done in a snap!
5) I am an educator. I need training because I am doing something I have never done before. I want to be good at it. I want to succeed. I need tools and I need to be reminded all the time how to use those tools (no matter how many children I have, or if I have done it successfully before).
Overall, there are many factors that affect child rearing. The three arguments discussed in the paper are social support, traumatic events and poverty. From social support, it is demonstrated that environment, family and friends have an impact on child rearing. Using social disorganization theory, it can be concluded that environment in fact does have an effect on adolescents and their chances of being involved in youth crime. Also, using the role model hypothesis children are more influenced by their siblings. Next, using strain theory, traumatic events are explained on how each person takes strain differently. Most adolescents that experience a traumatic event tend to participate in crime to deal with the stress. Traumatic events can occur in an environment, between families or friends, all three can cause a psychological impact.
One day, Susanne wanted to go out, but she had a limited amount of money to spend while she was out with friends. Worrying about the discomfort of pushing the limit close of not having enough money, she bought a lottery ticket and won a million dollars, but after taxes, it was around $700,000. She was finally happy, being able to afford what she needs in life to get farther when the money is to run out, so she bought a company that took off. Although some may say money can't buy happiness, it can in many ways. As long as you know how to manage your finances.
Think about those poor children who lost their lives or were placed into foster care because their parents didn’t know how to take care of them. What if it was you? What if you were the victim? Parents should be required to take parenting classes before having children. This is because many small children have lost their lives because their parents decided it would be fine to run an errand and leave them in the hot car with nobody with them. Another reason that parents should take parenting classes is because they can be overwhelmed. I get that sometimes parents know what to do, but why take the risk? Taking parenting classes can also be useful because you can be up to date with the latest parenting tips. Parenting classes should be enforced.
Being a child care worker may seem like ton of work to me, but it seems like fun. Why? It deals with kids and helping them out and I really love to help kids! I have done research about them and what they do, at first it sounded like it was all too much but I thought hey if I like to work with kids and help them out and talk, I figured if I did this job maybe it wouldn’t actually be that hard as it sounds!!
Goldenberg suggested that the phase you are currently engaged in is the family with young children. It is exciting to welcome little ones into the family system. It is also a period of major adjustment for a family to accept young children. The family unit must expand their way of thinking and in your case having two young children (Goldenberg & Goldenberg, 2013). It is also a period of the family unit being involved in rearing young children. In your case you have to adjust to your spouse being deployed. It adds an extra layer of stress especially when you do not have great resource of family around to help raise two young children while your spouse is deployed for a period of 6 to 11 months. During my time in the military I was deployed

Some of the first few daycares were opened before the Second World War. According the Canadian Encyclopedia, majority of daycares were opened in1972. In 1971, there were approximately 15,000 vacancies for full-time daycare spaces in Canada alone. Gradually, as the world advanced more people started enrolling their children daycares. In 1991, there was a major increase in students enrolled in daycare facilities. There were roughly 400,000 children enrolled in the daycare from the year 1991 to 1994. During the year 1995 there was a sudden decrease of students enrolled in daycares with a number of
My field placement is employment based through The New York City Administration for Children’s Services (ACS). ACS is a governmental agency that “protects and promotes safety and well-being of New York City’s children and families by providing child welfare, juvenile justice, and early care and education services” ("ACS - About," n.d.). The mission of the Administration for Children’s Services (ACS), Division of Child Protection (DCP), is to protect all children who are being abused or neglected in the City of New York, and to ensure that the appropriate services are provided to protect children and strengthen families (Casework Practice Guide, 2001).
I went to Richmond provincial court for the court visiting project on October 26, 2017. The courtroom number is 104 and the level of court is provincial. There was only one judge, one clerk and one bailiff in the court. The judge is female, but I do not have her name. There were numbers of applications had been discussed in the courtroom and most of them were related to driver license and child parenting issues. Most of driver licence issues only took around less than 5 minutes because they were arranged for the next court session with documents required. However, when it came to child parenting, it took longer time. There was an application related to child parenting. A father walked into courtroom with his son and the mother was with a lawyer.
Our modern, first world reaction to hearing that children are involved in combat usually bring our thoughts to child soldiers in Africa or children caught up in fighting in the Middle East. When photographs of children in civil war uniforms are seen, we might automatically assume it was done in jest, and no such service was ever performed by children. If we assumed this, we would be wrong.
