Firstly, the child care environment was significantly cleaner than that of the public restroom. I felt that this was primarily due to the surprisingly high number of parents who did not make their children wash their hands or the unaccompanied children that I noticed opting out of hand washing altogether.
While observing the hand washing practices in the child care classroom, I noticed it was very structured. Children waited in line and knew to use whatever assistance needed, such as step stools. I believe this was because they knew that hand washing was not an option but a requirement. I observed the teachers aid monitoring each student, and when needed reminding the student to wash the front and backs of hands and between the fingers. Some

Although they understand wiping and cleaning after using the bathroom, hand hygiene may need to still be reinforced.
Thank you for the wishes. Your presentation looks very professional. However, I was unsure to whom the presentation was aimed to: general population, researchers, or grant provider. Nevertheless, it gives the impression that it is directed to researchers. I have a suggestion: slides should provide a more broad idea or information. Is in the footnotes where you provide more detail about the slide. I also consider that if stats were presented individually with a dramatic picture, would be more striking (see attachment). However, the statistics shown in your presentation are compelling and strengthen the message of carrying further research for developing more interventions for children in foster care. I wish you the best of success in your career
faster than others. There are certain time frames when important milestones are supposed to occur; however, there is not set specific times. For example, children should be speaking by around two years old; however, if they begin a bit earlier or a bit later it may not effect later development. During the first two years of life there is a great deal of physical, social and metal development. This essay is going to discuss a 15 minute observation of a one and a half year old girl, and how her actions relate to theoretical concepts.
There were many Black males from the ages 18+ that were taking the information and were easy to communicate with. Based on what my group did the majority of the bags we gave out was to Black males. When it came to testing, I noticed that the majority that got tested were Black women even with incentives being given. This told me that there are many men having sex, but not many who know their status. That being my opinion, and not a fact based on my observation. Based on what I observed women are more likely to get tested and take care of their health than men.
I observed children at ABC Child Development Center in the 3 year old classroom on March 1, 2010 from 8am until 11am. The classroom had a very diverse composition in the classroom, Hispanic, African American, Caucasian, Native American, and Asian (Vietnamese). In addition to diversity the ABC child development focus on maintaining a child centered environment that allows children to learn at their own pace. The classroom had 2 teachers and 24 children in attendance during the observation. The classroom has blue walls and displays of the children’s artwork around the room for Saint Patrick's Day and also spring. The classroom had 8 centers for learning and activities. The centers were arranged at the
The Kids Learning Centre is a privately-owned day care facility and non-formal educational institution for children up to 12 years old. It is located at the heart of the City of Downtown, just behind The Business Building, a convenient place where parents and guardians can drop off their children safely. It operates from 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM daily, and closes only during major holidays.
The place of observation took place at my work, before I clocked in for the day. I work at Oakwood Methodist Preschool/Daycare. I went in to the daycare at about 9:00, which is just free play/ breakfast time in the infant room. The infant room I observed in was a little different than the CDRC, because the infant room is from 7 weeks old to 18 months old. There was not really a place for me to be
Observation is very important in young children because that is how you get to know a child better. While observing how a child interacts with their peers, adults, and how they behave in different settings, you are getting to know the child without speaking to them.
Early childhood teachers should be a role model to model hygienic practices such as thorough handwashing and drying and using serving utensils to handle food to support toddlers’ hygiene (Tansey, 2009).

A fulfilling place to raise your knowledge and understanding of pre-school children and infants is a daycare. Observing a daycare gives you an insight at how these toddlers behave and act when going through the many different situations in the daycare. North West Childcare Centre is one of many daycares that believes in giving children a safe and encouraging environment to grow up in with nurturing staff, that get s the boys and girls prepared for pre-school both mentally and academically. North West Childcare Centre openly welcomes all infants and toddlers from the age of 12 months to five years. The children are divided into three different classroom based on age.
The three parent child observations that have been documented will be analyzed using knowledge from class material and with peer-reviewed articles. Support will be given to show the connection between the articles, the class material, and to each observation. Each observation took place in a different location and each supporting article discusses how the actions of the parent and child relate to different aspects of a parent child relationship.
Standard #3: Observing, documenting and assessing to support young children and families. Q1.-In your opinion what are some important uses of assessment? Why do we need to assess?
