At 29 years old, Hinrichs was GM’s youngest plant manager. Hinrichs was inheriting a poor performing plant that continually underachieved, losing money year after year. Improvements were desperately needed to increase the efficiency of the manufacturing process and reduce operating costs. This article is terrible. I can't believe something like this could happen. This is one of the poorest communities in the world. Half the people in this community can't even afford to buy bottled water or even have enough money to go to the store. I feel this could have been totally preventable. I also think it's sad that all these people are poor and jobless because of a Genral Motors Shutting down. If Genral Motors didn't shut down the plant their then so many people wouldn't be poor and the city would have more money to keep the city clean and safe for everyone.

In the YouTube video “Chevy Runs Deep, the central message is to sell me a Chevy brand truck. I am resistant to this video’s message because I do not care about brands of vehicles. I am more likely purchase a vehicle based on performance and price. This video was written for a sympathetic audience because it is speaking to truck and Chevy owners. The man in the video already owns a Chevy. The video shows generations of Chevy owners. The appeal used in this video is pathos because the video is conveying emotion over the man’s memories of the Chevy truck and his family time spent with the truck. Unfortunately, even with regular servicing, there is always a chance for a vehicle to malfunction for reasons outside of servicing issues. If my vehicle were to break down, the impact would be about an eight because I use my vehicle daily to get me and my family around.
Many of my earliest memories revolve around cars. As a child I can remember wandering around classic car shows, riding around up north in my family’s old work truck, and sitting in the back seat on countless road trips watching the miles of unknown road stretch to the horizon. Every time I place my hands on a steering wheel, even today, I still rekindle a fascination with anything that has four wheels and an engine. This interest encompasses everything from the mechanics of an internal combustion engine to the rich history of the American automobile. For this reason, I was euphoric when my family purchased a 1957 Chevy. Since this new hobby was introduced into my life, I have spent many long nights in the garage working to bring the car back to its original glory. In the past few years, working on this car has enriched my life in countless ways.
