There are several main characters. The first three Sal, who tries to find out a secret about her mom. Her mom,who is being called by Sugar, because her last name is Chanhassen, which means sugar. Sugar was very quiet and always worries about being respectful in front of other. While Sal is very active. Phoebe is another main character, she is crazy with her ideas. It is very mysterious and interesting to know that Mr. Hiddle had cheated on Sugar. Mr. Hiddle had a girlfriend named Margaret Cadaver. She seemed scary to everyone. Her last name meant death, and dyed her big curly hair to a dark red color. Gram and Gramps are Sal’s grandparents. Who take her to the trip to see Sugar, who is in Idaho. Gram and Gramps had four sons. However, three of their sons died from unreasonable accidents that they made. Now Mr. Hiddle is really important to Gram and Gramps, as an only son, as an only …show more content…
Sal finds out that her mom had suicided herself. Phoebe had finally stopped caring about herself and started caring about her mom. Prudence, is still upset with her cheerleading. Sal got to Idaho through many different obstacles, which were facing her during the ride. After seeing her mom’s grave, she now understands that her mom will never come back, but it doesn't mean that she has to forget about her mom. Mrs. Cadaver, wasn’t as mean as Phoebe thought she was. Mr. Hiddle told the relationship between Cadaver and him to Sal. Of course our narrator was mad, but she thought about her dad. She didn’t want to lose her dad also. She wanted him to be happy, so she let it go. Ben and Sal are so close to each other now. I can’t even describe the relationship. Sal likes the grapefruit smell of his hair, and Ben likes her in everything. Ben is a nice drawer and a nice kisser by the way.
Everyday Gram and Gramps make troubles, but it’s better than before. Everyone knows that a person’s characteristic can never change. Also, now we can see some smiles from Sal and Phoebe.
Sal, Phoebe, Ben and Mary continue going to school, and keep a really good relationship between each other. Especially Sal and Phoebe, they probably are best friends. In addition, thanks to Phoebe, Sal can laugh once a

That causes external conflict. Sal’s dad never told her about them going to move to ohio by mrs.cadaver.and there house is small has one tree and small patch of grass. “Where are the trees”? I said. Where's the barn”?. Where's the river where's the swimming hole”?. Sal does not know why her father did not tell her about the move and her mom and mrs.cadaver. “I asked why my father had not told me how he had met mrs.cadaver and she said he didn't want to upset you”. When sal didn't know about Mrs.cadaver, the bus, or her mom she was angry, and mad at her dad but now she gets why her father moved them he did it for
Surely, after she left Sal and her dad, she passed away in a bus accident. Sal changed right after she found out. Sal became less open and more protective of her dad. But there was good news….Sal and her dad moved to Euclid, Ohio, and there, Sal made new friends and started to open up. She eventually let Ben (a guy she likes) hold her hand without flinching. Sal came a long way by just moving away from all the sad and heartbreaking memories of her mom. No matter what Sal does, her mom will give her good or bad memories, that's just how it
Important Settings for Sal “... I am a country girl at heart… and brave.” (Creech pg 1 and 12) This is how Sharon Creech, author of Walk Two Moons develops her main character, Sal. The protagonist in the story resists, travels, and returns to bybanks. With all of this, this helps Sal to grow throughout the novel.

Some of the other characters are Grover Persons, Nickie’s ant Crystal, her mom and dad, Amanda, and Martin. Grover and Martin are boys that Nickie met at different times while she was exploring Yonwood. At one point, Grover hints that he used to be good friends with Martin. Crystal is usually never around. She is always off trying to organize things so the house will be ready for auction as soon as possible. Nickie’s mom and dad aren’t actually in the story. They send letters back and forth. Her mom is living at home and dad is off involved with the war somewhere. No one knows where it actually is he keeps sending weird postcards to his wife and daughter.
Someone once said, “When someone experiences a loss of a loved one, it changes them in a way that they could never go back to the person they once were.” For Sal, she changes because she’s a girl with her mom then she realizes that her mom’s not gonna ever be in her life anymore. In the novel, Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech, both external and internal forces changed Sal. One external force that caused Sal to change is Sal’s friendship with Phoebe and Ben.
What is abandonment? Abandonment is the action or fact of abandoning or being abandoned. How does it impact the lives of children? Children who do not get their needs met often grow up with low self-esteem, emotional dependency, helplessness, and other issues. The term “child abandonment” is a crime committed by parents because the child who is abandoned doesn’t know the reason why he or she was forsaken. The child thinks that their parent will take care of them. The book, Walk Two Moons by Sharon Creech, is a story about a girl named Sal who was abandoned by her mother. Similarly, in the article on abandonment “Perspectives on Fear of Abandonment Causes, Effects, and Option” he showed us how abandonment impacts kids and adults such as, the
Harry S Truman was the 33rd president of the United States. He was born on May 8, 1884 in Lamar, Missouri. He was born into the family of Martha Ellen Truman and John Anderson Truman; his father was a mule trader as well as a farmer. Harry was named after his uncle, Harrison Young. After his parents couldn’t decide on a middle name they settled with just the letter “S”. He grew up on his father’s farm in Independence, Missouri and attended Independence High School (now William Chrisman High School). Since he did not attend college, he had several jobs coming out of high school. Truman was known across the nation and world as a successful senator, vice president, and a war-loving president.
Sal, Grams, and Gramps take a road trip following the same footsteps of her mother. Sal stated that, “ One day I realized that our whole trip out to Lewiston had been a gift from Gram and Gramps to me, “ [ Creech 262 ]. The trip to Lewiston was a gift to Sal because it helped Sal realize that everywhere she went her mother was there in her exact footsteps, it made her believe her mother was not gone all the way. Now Sal believes her mother should stay in Lewiston. The text states, “ Lately, I’ve been wondering if there might be something hidden between the fireplace, because just as the fire place was behind the plaster wall and my mother’s story was behind Phoebe’s , I think that there was a third story behind Phoebe’s and my mother’s, and that was about Gram and Gramps.” [ Creech 260]. Gram and Gramps story in the wall helped Sal realise that everything Gram and Gramps did with Sal was for the memories and it helped Sal connect with her emotions. Their relationship helped her accept her mother’s death by using the memories. Gram and Gramps impacted Sal by showing her that she can still hold her mother in her heart.

Primarily, the characters in the book are foils for each other. One example is Lucie Manette and Madame Defarge. Lucie is a very gentle and loving woman. Everything that she does shows her kindness and virtue. Her tenderness and adoration for everyone empowers her to unite the family. For instance, when Lucie 's father was in a horrible state of depression, the only cure for his sadness was the sight of Lucie 's face and the touch of her skin. On the other
The main character, Charlie must navigate through it even while feeling motionless and scared. He tells his story to the reader from his perspective. The reader sees life from exactly the way he sees the events and understands those events through a teenage boy’s eyes. The crisis is introduced when the town outcast Jasper Jones asked Charlie, a bookish young nobody of a boy for help. The reader sees Charlie’s internal conflicts of wanting to go with Jasper, feeling terrified, excited yet so wanting to be accepted by him Charlie does in fact sneak out in the middle of the night with his new friend. Jasper takes Charlie to the scene of the crime where Jasper’s girlfriend is hanging from a tree. The manner that Silvey describes Charlie’s reaction to the hanged girls is true to human nature, “I’m screaming, but they are muffled screams. I can’t breathe in. I feel like I’m underwater. Deaf and drowning.” This description foreshadows the solution to hide the body and Jasper and Charlie throw Laura Wishart into the lake. Unknown to either is Laura Wishart’s sister, Eliza. She witnessed the suicide of her sister and wrote the word “sorry” on the stump of the tree before she leaves. Charlie and Jasper find this word, assume that the killer wrote it there, and immediately jump to the
The story continues to reveal a conflict Mrs. Mallard may have had in the relationship with her husband. Though she speaks about him lovingly and knows that he loved her, there is something deeper that is brought to the surface in
