In relation to the case at hand, Arpaio's targeting of illegal immigrants can be traced back to his creation of the Human Smuggling Unit (HSU). The HSU was formed back in 2006 and attached to the Illegal Immigration Interdiction Unit (Snow Murray, 2013). In 2007 ICE entered into a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with MCSO providing them with the ability to enforce federal immigration law under the 287(g) (Murray Snow, 2013). ICE Special Agent Alonzo Pena testified that "287(g) did not permit officers to stop persons or vehicles on suspicions of illegal immigrant status and the use of this authority as pretext could be an issue of concern" (Murray Snow, 2013, p.10). The testimony of numerous deputies including MSCO deputy Rengel reveal traffic

On Tuesday, Jeff Sessions viewed the border between the U.S. and Mexico, revealing to him a brand-new strategy on immigration prosecutions under the President. Federal law officials outlined an initiative he believes marks the start of a whole new strategy that relieves the nation's border and cities from what Sessions described as 'filth' brought on by organized crime and drug cartels. His travel arrangements consisted of visiting the U.S. point of entry where Sessions was observed exiting his SUV prior to entering a restricted access area.
The TSA maintains a screening Performance Management Information System (PMIS) where recorded complaints are logged. Operations research analysis teams and federal security directors review complaints logged in the database to track trends and identify areas of concern and take appropriate actions, including possible disciplinary actions, to resolve specific issues. Complaints involving allegations of discrimination based on color, race, gender, religion, or national or ethnic origin are forwarded to the TSA’s Office of Civil Rights for further investigation. Despite considerable concern raised by some regarding inappropriate behavior during pat-down screening procedures, the DHS found no problems with the technique.
A decade of governmental planning and privatization of prisons has born what is known as the harshest immigration law in history. Astonishingly, this law wasn 't formed by our Federal Government, but by the Arizona State Senate in hopes of curtailing the ever growing population of illegal immigrants who are smuggled into the United States, come legally and overstay their visa, or come in hope of a better life. This writing will investigate the social construction and the circumstances that lead to atrocity surrounding the initiation of a long list of Arizona immigration laws. Secondly, the paper will provide a background on past policies that may have relation to the current policies enacted today and how their implementation has affected immigration by aliens into Arizona. Lastly, the paper will analyze the rendition of Support Our Law Enforcement and Safe Neighborhoods Act (Arizona Senate Bill 1070) and offer solutions to problems associated with the law in its most current form.

The U.S. Border Patrol started its service for our nation in 1924. Even though some changes have affected every aspect of the operations from its early days, the values, professionalism, honor, integrity, and respect helped shape the Border Patrol from the early years and they still remain the same today. Since the very beginning agents have been patrolling our borders, “Mounted watchmen of the U.S. Immigration Service patrolled the border in an effort to prevent illegal crossings as early as 1904” (Border Patrol History, web). The agent’s efforts were undertaken only when resources permitted. The inspectors were all out of El Paso, Texas, “Though they never totaled more than seventy-five, they patrolled as far west as California trying to restrict the flow of illegal Chinese immigration” (Border Patrol History, web).
Mr. Akram Dejam is a foreign resident alien. He arrived in the United States in 1996 from Yugoslavia. His immigration and naturalization file indicates that he was born in 1970 in Sarajevo. In connection with his immigration, Mr. Dejam stated that during the years 1988¬ to 1993 he was a student. In fact, he may have been a war criminal, formerly engaged in atrocities during the on-going civil war in his home country. Based on this information, the OSI is now investigating Mr. Dejam. In connection with this investigation, OSI has issued an administrative subpoena demanding that Dejam produce documents
