A hygienist should inform the patient about the treatments that can be done to help their xerostomia because its a symptom of high sugar levels. With a dry mouth, the patient could have diabetes and being in the health profession you need to be cautious of your surroundings. This is one important role a hygienist has to deal with, with a patient that has diabetes.

There are some established uses for xylitol; diabetics utilize it to reduce the amount of insulin needed to maintain normal blood levels of glucose, doctors make use of xylitol with their patients who are critically burned and current research indicates that xylitol use decreases the amount of middle ear infections that some children can suffer from.1 Many are familiar with xylitol as a low calorie and sugar free replacement.1 This literature review will focus on early childhood caries (ECC) and a possible prevention strategy mothers can cultivate with the use of xylitol.

Zac, the main programmer at Mezoweb, developed the Mez OS, which is a content management system; CMS. This simple system allows the client edit the content of the website without having to contact the programmer which time a change is needed to be done. The Mez OS allows the client to not only edit the content, but also add more pages or remove pages as needed. The client is able to change the content of the website as well as move the content freely and without much difficulty. Also, the Mez OS is very responsive, which makes it very mobile friendly. The whole system is written in PHP and it is composed of two parts: a core and a client folder. The core contains the main components and features of the system while the client folder will contain the website design and specifics. The core is the same one for all the websites, so if changes are done, all websites on the server are affected. In the client folder, there is one page that is the template for all pages; index.php. In my opinion, I believe that Rachel spends her work day very ineffectively for many reasons. From the moment she gets to the office she instantly starts to socialize with her coworker. Although, having good relations with those you work with is important, it is unnecessary to waste time chatting when there is always an option to say “So great to have you back! We should catch up later.” Especially if she knows she was supposed to receive emails that are of high importance and hasn’t checked her email since 3:30pm the day before. I believe that this is an ineffective way to spend her first moments at work when she could have better prepared herself for the day.
