The organization asking for assistance with its campaign is a small mental health nonprofit in Singapore. The company operates facilities that provide services to the mentally ill such as counseling, hospital-alternative programs, case management, housing assistance, and community outreach. The community outreach branch has been participating in the World Suicide Prevention Day campaigns since they were first organized, but there has been very little participation by the community, or even similar agencies, in this effort. The company has a particular stake in this effort as the mentally ill population in the region is almost three times more likely to commit suicide than an individual who does not claim mental health problems (SingHealth, 2012).
