Julie Mialaret is my mother and she is 53 years old. My mother exercises very rarely because of her intense work schedule. She says it is hard for her to have the energy everyday to work out after long work hours. She has never smoked in her life because she does not find it appealing. Mrs. Mialaret eats a very low-fat diet and eats very small portions. My mother eats very healthy and is able to maintain her weight without exercise. She faces no barriers when it comes to eating healthy because growing up she ate little portions and couldn't afford fast food. I would like to change my eating habits to better reflect my mom's diet however, I would like to incorporate some sort of exercise into my daily routine. My mom hopes to start exercising

Last May, I traveled with Alternative Breaks to New York for community service. During this service, I worked with Meals on Wheels who dedicate their time to provide food for the elderly of Manhattan. As I delivered the food to the seniors, I got a sense of fulfillment because I made them smile by providing them with food. Thus, I chose MDC’s Single Stop because I wanted to make a difference in my home campus by providing and assuring nourishment to those that do not have it just like I did in New York. As my first two years of college comes to an end, I wanted to leave a mark of my own here at home at Miami Dade College North Campus. During the month of September, I decided to partner up with a few of my peers to serve at MDC’s Single Stop.
1. There are a few boundary issues that need to be addressed. The social worker developed a personal relationship with Bea. Bea was in need of additional income, she wanted to find a female to rent her spare room to. The social worker had a friend, “a woman who might be interested” renting the room (Hoffman, & St. Clair, 2003, p. 46). She asked for permission to let her friend know of the room, asking to releasing Bea’s information was appropriate. The boundary issue is that the social worker should have not even offered her friend as an option to rent the room. This situation becomes a conflict of interest and cross the boundaries of social worker and client (NASW, 2008, p. 7). In addition to this situation the social worker admitted to having

To whom it may concern, Georgia Beckmann is one of the most intelligent, thoughtful and witty students I have seen in my counselling career. These qualities are impossible to miss through how she approaches her assignments, the quality of her insight into topics at hand, discussions in class and extracurricular activities. Georgia’s hard work has consistently earned her some of the highest grades of her class since freshman year, and she has continuously challenged herself each year to improve the quality of her work and analyses across academic disciplines. Georgia has earned straight A’s throughout her entire high school career, which is no surprise based on the hard-working spirit she exudes every day in all of her classes. This has carried
