The next morning she was reported missing from work and the first call was made to inform Jo-Allyn Brown, Stephanie’s mom. Jo-Allyn called everyone possible; friends, family, relatives but everyone said they hadn’t seen Stephanie for days so she decided to notify the authorities. Investigator Sam Reilly will also be called to testify, in that he was the first investigator on the scene. Shortly after the murder, Officer Reilly went to the defendant’s home at 2435 Damen Street, apt #2B and forced down Mr. John Hudsons’ and Dale Buckner’s door. While at the apartment, Officer Reilly Recovered a .38 revolver (matching the gun from the crime scene), a black leather jacket, and a newly registered Black Cadillac Sedan; which matched the description of the getaway car. Due to officer Reilly’s work, pertinent details of the defendant’s background and belongings have been brought to trial and will help us prove that the defendants did, beyond a reasonable doubt murder, and assist in murdering Mrs. Sara Lazar. Upon arrest, the defendant’s both refused to make a statement concerning the killing of Mrs. Lazar.
After going to prison, Sante started to start killing witnesses to her crime, with the help of her new partner, her son Kenny. They killed three witnesses to their crimes total: David Kazdin (who was her friend and legitimate business partner), Elmer Golmgren, and Sayed Bilal Ahmed. The duo, however, weren’t caught until the murder of wealthy, elderly, New York socialite Irene Silverman. After conning Silverman into letting them tenant in her apartments, they decided they wanted to steal her fortune using their usual conning methods. Silverman was suspicious, and wrote notes on the two and how she feared for her safety with them nearby. She even made comments to some of the cleaning ladies who worked for her about them. The night before she was to have the duo evicted, she mysteriously vanished. There was no traces of forensic evidence to support murder, not even a body to find. However, with their previous track records, Sante and Kenny were taken in as suspects, and eventually arrested with eyewitness testimony to their character and the notes Silverman took on the two. They argued their innocence, saying they were wrongfully accused in court. After more pressure, however, Kenny confessed to the murders, saying his mother helped in them too. Sante continued to deny any sort of connections to the murders, saying

As the years pressed on Gatlinburg saw more and more tourist. They decided to take this and create a town that fully runs off of tourist. The second biggest thing to hit Gatlinburg after the creation of the National Park has to be when the general assembly passed legislation in 2009 that made distilleries legal in 41 Tennessee counties. On July 3rd, 2010 the city sold their first legal jar of moonshine. Since, Gatlinburg has opened Ole Smoky Moonshine which allows tourist to come into the distillery and are offered free tastings. This allows the tourist to taste the heritage of the Smoky Mountains. After which the people are able to buy jars of said moonshine and take the taste of the Smokys’ home. This passing allowed for a massive increase from an economic and tax revenue standpoint. The following months brought in more tourist than before. Granted many people thought by offering free tasting of moonshine and making it legal to brew, the locals thought it would put out the wrong image of Gatlinburg. Many locals believed that Gatlinburg should have stayed a more family oriented attraction, but with the passing of the legislation the locals realized that it didn’t affect the family image that had been established. With the locals of Gatlinburg onboard and the moonshine business beginning to take off, the town was uplifted with tourism and gained a new found life.

The Washington State Attorney General's office thinks this investigation is too big for a small-town female law officer to handle, so they're sending Sheriff Brady some unwanted help a seasoned detective named Beaumont.
