She has participated in a video conference with Marquel since his commitment. She is aware of his placement in the Virginia Beach CPP Program. I have worked for the West Virginia Division of Rehabilitation Services (WVDRS) for over three years as a Rehabilitation Service Associate. During that time I have been given the opportunity to work with the clients that we serve on a regular basis. However, the practicum experience provided me with an opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the rehabilitation process and what it means to work as a team with individuals to achieve goals. The practicum experience also gave me insight on the processes involved in providing individuals information and assistance in finding solutions to help overcome or work through challenges encountered on a daily basis.

The duties performed by social and human services workers are varied. They can work in a number of different fields including psychology, social work, rehabilitation, and support for families in need (BLS, 2012a). Often, they help to identify the needs of clients and help them obtain available benefits, community services, and programs. There are several other job categories that are closely related including rehabilitation counselors, psychiatric technicians, personal care aides, and eligibility interviewers for government programs (BLS, 2012a). I wish to pursue a career in the psychology and rehabilitation field of the human services category. This population is of great interest to me because of experiences with friends and family. The founders main goal is to inspire, support families and communities. They work to assist with human needs through focusing on prevention and improving the overall quality of life. Spectrum support family crisis, foster care and adoption, juvenile treatment short-term and long-term, substance abuse prevention and treatment, and workforce development. In the program, it is designed to address people with mental, physical, behavioral challenges. Today, spectrum has over 40 programs across the state of Michigan.
