She looked like an utter mess and there wasn’t a damn thing she could do about it. Caroline Forbes was already running 15 minutes behind schedule, and to make matters worse as soon as she stepped out of the car her foot landed right in a puddle soaking her shoe thoroughly. It was clearly not her day. All she could do was be extremely grateful for the fact the person she was meeting was someone she was actually friends with, or well friendly at least. They worked together on many of the events Caroline’s business put together – be it a wedding or a just a private party. Opening the door to the establishment where they were meeting for lunch, Caroline took a step inside and immediately scanned the area until her eyes landed on Rebekah Mikaelson. …show more content…
“Okay, give me a minute?” She pushed herself back from the table, grabbing her bag she quickly stood and hurried to the bathroom. As soon as her eyes met the mirror she swore she looked like the walking dead. She had rushed out of the house this morning after a rough start of the day. Her alarm hadn’t gone off causing her to wake up 30 minutes later than she had wanted to, but at least she had woken up. And then her son did not want to change out of his pajamas and leave the house, so her make-up and hair weren’t exactly the last things on her mind. And of course the clip that was keeping her hair in semi decent form had broken mid-morning causing her locks to go everywhere. Reaching into her bag, she grabbed some make-up and a brush and tried to make herself look a little more presentable. Once she thought the job was done, she looked into the mirror and noticed that her shirt buttons were completely uneven. Rolling her eyes at the fact she hadn’t noticed it earlier, she slipped off her cardigan and undid her shirt so she could do it properly. However, before she was able to finish the job, a knock came at the bathroom door and before she could even respond the door was pushed
"Make yourself comfortable. And I will go to my place." The guy told her and heading for the door, he left the room.

Omar Alamri Dr. Fuller HIST 217 Feb 7, 2017 Love and Hate in Jamestown: John Smith, Pocahontas, and the Heart of a New Nation In Love and Hate in Jamestown: John Smith, Pocahontas, and the Heart of a New Nation, David A. Price presented a more complicated and complex version of the legendary story of the founding of Virginia. His narrative focused on class and the development of capitalism and brought together several important characters, most notably Chief Powhatan, Pocahontas, and John Smith. In doing so, he challenged the traditional view of the events in the early Jamestown colony. It is evident that the three characters Chief Powhatan, Pocahontas, and John Smith played a significant role in the development of America because their association
As I began to hear the testimony, I recalled all the various wars that have created us into what we are today. Brother against brother, kings that ruled the land, and dictators that overtook anything they desired. Survivors from various disasters have had a chance to let others hear and feel what they have gone through when they were younger like us. Cesia Kingston, one of the many survivors of the disastrous Holocaust, shares her many experiences throughout her life. Some too precious to forget, but others filled with pain and sorrow. Through every word Cesia spoke, they filled my thoughts like a wave, but at the same moment I remembered the times when pain and fear overtook me.
“Now get changed and I’ll meet you in the van” and quietly made her exit.
There had been enough time for something to change but almost everything was the exact same. Again Rye found herself travelling on a bus to go search for something, now knowing her brother is in fact dead she wasn 't exactly sure if what she was searching for was real. The only difference was that she now had the weight of two pre-teens. She felt it best for them to be as cautious as she had been while travelling around a decade ago. Each child had their own piece to communicate what their name was without using their words, it’s safer. Sitting on these benches Rye looked at them, the girl was the spitting image of her dead mother long curly dirty blond hair, a button nose, freckles, green eyes, and the perfect height for her age. Her was brother only slightly taller, with a darker skinned tone, and features almost exactly the opposite of his sister. The only feature similar was their hair texture. Rye would never admit this to anyone but there were times like the present that she regrets the events leading up to this very moment. The deja vu of running away except this time with hope.
On her head, she donned a short, black, and slick bob. She cut her hair that way in order to look classy, even only at certain angles. This morning, it was a struggle to keep the stray hairs in place, so she skipped taking a selfie. She had many times proudly called herself ugly in front of her friends, but can't stand the ugliness she was seeing in her reflection. She wanted to be paler, skinnier, taller...
The tragic end of the beautiful Andrea Gail and the fate of all the lives on that boat is yet unknown. In the meantime, my last thought at this point of the story is I’ve come to the conclusion that the more often you go out, the more likely you are to never come back. The only way to guard against these dangers is to stop rolling the dice.
This story is about a girl who does not want to reveal her inner self, and tries to change her outer self, so she can be liked by other people. The main character, Camilla tries to change herself from the outer side by trying 42 outfits. In my opinion , I would rather wear clothes I am comfortable in instead of trying to impress others, as beauty lies in the eyes of a beholder(we all have an opinion on what beauty means). Camilla wants to please people because in the story when she got stripes people called out colors and she changed as people wanted her to be. This tells clearly that Camilla wants people to like her in a different way instead of letting people like her the way she is.
In the story we read there was a woman named MS .Jones. She had a purse that she keeps everything in it. So after a minute and asked if she needed he to get something
After, what seemed like ages for Mia, Julie was done. Turning the chair towards the mirror, Mia was finally able to see her new form and she couldn't believe that the beautiful creature in front of her was her.. Mia’s hair, now, were literally glowing, her golden streaks shimmered under the sunlight of the now setting sun outside, while her brown hair gave a warm earthy feeling. Julie smiled behind her, feeling satisfied with the work. After gawking at her new form, Mia hand went into her hair to check for those pests: there were none, none in her hair! Overwhelmed with joy, Mia hugged Julie and went to pay for her treatment as well as for the products used on her, as they were no longer usable. Waving bye to the Julie, Mia left the saloon; Looking at the almost sunset, Mia thought smiling’ I guess that some people are not bad afterall’, fading into the, now set sun awaiting the a bright morning
I have many skills and great knowledge of the game as I have played hcf and kitmap for many years. I can pick up hacks such as
A three-month-old South Korean girl starved to death after her parents repeatedly left her alone for 12-hour stretches to rendezvous at a local Internet cafe, where they were nurturing a virtual child through a computer game known as “Prius Online.” The 41-year-old father and 25-year-old mother found their real child dead after returning from the cafe. The autopsy revealed that the baby died of prolonged malnutrition. While online, the couple were raising a virtual daughter seemingly as a form of escapism from their own lives. Both parents recently became unemployed and their baby had been born prematurely, which is taboo in South Korean culture and considered the parents’ fault. Chung Jin-won, a police officer in Suwon, a suburb of the nation’s
Florica gently laid her hand on her. “I really have to go to the bathroom.”
She reached over and gave his hand a squeeze and then looked toward the bathrooms at the back corner of the café. Frank wanted to run.
