Some cars slowed down and pointed their headlights in our direction. They probably saw our vehicle’s tracks in the smashed snow. One family stopped and rolled down their window. “Is anyone there?” they asked. “Yes!” Grace shouted. “Do you need help?” “We have help on the way. Thank you!” They returned to their car and drove off. Another set of headlights appeared in the North. The car slowed down and Uncle Joe came running towards the wrecked vehicle. Hope and I tried to open our doors, but the smashed doors could not open. Haley and Grace got out of the vehicle on the left side and Hope and I struggled to crawl from the right side to get out due to the mess within the vehicle created throughout the crash. Joe hugged us, showing his happiness regarding our survival. We stomped through the deep snow in the direction of his small white car, leaving the dented blue Ford expedition and most of our belongings behind. Joe and Grace discussed the accident: what activities to participate in about the damaged vehicle, whether or not to take Hope to the hospital, and when to notify family members and others important …show more content…
Coming out of such a disastrous accident with only minor scratches made me realize to appreciate life. I felt a calming within me as I thought about my grandfather and the other loved ones we have lost watching over us during the accident. I strongly believed in guardian angels after the incident. Ever since the accident, I still find riding with others in the winter difficult and fear an accident might occur again. I beg my parents and friends to drive cautiously on snow. Some uncertainty remains, but the courage I presented during the accident proved to me I possess brave characteristics. I realized the little issues happening in my life no longer mattered, because every day is another day I get to live and thrive. Like an unknown author stated, “Be thankful for another day. You’re blessed to be
On a sunny afternoon in May of 2013 I learned a very important lesson. I was at a family auction in the small quiet town of Ames, Oklahoma. The dew was still wet on the ground and the air was crisp. There was a lot of my extended family there as well as people I had never met. I got to see my cousin Taylor as well as one of her cousins named Jadey. We decided we were going to go ride four wheelers out in the field and it was at that time I learned a valuable lesson. Four wheeler accidents happen often, but I never expected to be the one involved. Before my accident I thought four wheelers were fairly safe, but afterwards I learned that an accident can happen in a split second and you should never assume you won’t be the one involved.
What do you get when you mix drugs, a man named Fuckhead, and drama? A Denis Johnson story. Drama is a prominent and key aspect that appears in all of Johnson’s work. Johnson’s work demonstrates various uses of multiple techniques and ideas that young writers can understand and apply to their own work.

After the accident I expected William to run off into the woods like a scared, traumatised little boy. But he didn’t. He stayed. The doctors told me that I had a seventy percent chance of ever walking again. Depression enveloped me like a shroud of darkness and William was the pinprick of light at the end of the tunnel. Everyday I endured immense pain, both physically and mentally. At the hospital there was a nurse named Misha, he was a religious man and his kindness radiated wherever he went. One night when it was particularly hard, he prayed. I don't know if there is a God or if it was just my own determination and trust, but slowly after a vast amount of physical therapy and days where I couldn’t move from
There were two officer dispatched to the vehicle collision. The other officer talked with each party and with those that witnessed the accident. Officer Lewis took pictures, sketched the scene, and took measurements. All of the information he gathered will later go into a report he will write.
On a cold winter, rainy night while driving from one duty station to the next was where my vehicle spun around, flipping, tossing and causing my life to unfold and facing a loss like no other. The turmoil of life hit me hard just from this single tragedy alone. My vehicle was totaled, I loss conscious and was rushed to the hospital. Never expected such an incident to occur so abruptly and rob me of all my self-worth. I’ve became someone, someone incapacitated, not able to function like I normally should.
“We have to get them out of there!” I heard voices yelling out in the distance, but was to lightheaded to know where they were coming from.
A “survivor car” is what the newspapers called it, did not stop such notice; gathering from the darkness a moment of miracle, and then disappear for the next bend. Michaelist wasn’t even sure of the facts – he told the press about the incident. The yellow car the one going toward new york, approximating beyond, hurried back to myrtle’s location, and abruptly change target to the nearest obstacle in the road, colliding in a big speed and intensity, surrounding the road with metallic parts of a wrecked car.
Before my accident life had come very easy to me, God blessed me in so many ways and I just took
Most people remember the first time they got to sit behind the wheel of a car and the exhilarating feeling of control. The first time I drove came about in the final lap of the derby I raced in the summer before my freshman year of high school. The race took place in Daley Plaza in Chicago on a sunny Saturday afternoon. My team and I were filled with excitement and nerves as we prepared to begin the race. Everyone chose me to drive as our final driver, and the thought of potentially driving to secure our victory terrified me. Soon the race started and we were swept away in the first three crazy laps and the intense challenges. Finally, Aastha pulled up to our pit and scrambled out of the car to complete the challenge. I quickly threw on the
Car wrecks, I have been in them and also witnessed many too, none of which have been my fault, except one. My first car wreck happened on the first day of summer going into my senior year. I thought that, that particular summer was going to be spectacular, obviously I was wrong. Although, this was a bad experience there was some good that came out of it.
Have you ever felt that moment that time frozen. well I have, my family's car was on fire and the events that follow were sad.
I got my dog almost one year ago. We got him on november second 2014. Me and my sister had begged our parents to get us a dog but they kept saying no. THe day that we ended up getting him my parents just said that we were going camping. They said we were going camping in a cabin a few miles from Bend Oregon.
Getting in a car accident is an unnerving thing. You never know what can happen and if your lucky you might see it coming. Well as often as these accidents occur, it happened to Spencer and I on one fateful summer evening.
Life is unpredictable and an accident can happen anytime. on our way back home from church my dad was driving a black 2012 Toyota Highlander, which is a family car that seven people can ride in it. My younger brother, Taw Nay Gay, and I were sitting on the seat behind the driver seat by the door. My other two younger brothers, Gay Nay Soe and Soe K Maw, sat in the seat behind me, and my mom sat in the front passenger seat. For the first time a nineteen year old girl like me started to believe that I had a reason to live and my life could be taken away anytime. This happened on October first 2017, 7:30 pm when we got into a car accident by the traffic lights intersection. Three cars were damaged, but everyone in the cars were fine.
