Have you ever thought about starting a different kind fundraiser at our school? Well, I have, and I think a flower fundraiser would be a great option. Who doesn't like flowers? Selling flowers could help us raise money for the school in many aspects. You could even sell the flowers individually or by the dozen. Purchasing flowers, in large quantities, would cost less. A flower fundraiser would be more beneficial than candy bars because you wouldn't have to buy as many flowers as bars, and you will get more profit from the flowers. A flower fundraiser will require fewer items to be sold and make more money for each item sold. For the school to make a $1000 profit for a flower fundraiser, you would need to purchase 883 flowers.
In order for the local library to thrive and continue business, a proposal of a fundraiser must be implemented. In fact, the committee of community members had come up with two proposals as of now: a book sale and a car wash. However, only one of these proposals may be chosen. Whether or not the car wash or the book sale is the superior option, is up to debate. However, before any final decisions are established, it is vital to evaluate each of these viable options effectively. Although the car wash and the book sale have their similarities and differences, the car wash would be the most logistically feasible.
The boys and girls basketball team will be holding a fundraiser with the company Fancloth. Locke has worked with fancloth in the past (baseball and softball). Fancloth is a company that sells customized sporting apparel and then gives a portion of the money raised to the organization. We would like to run the fundraiser for three weeks starting on the 16th of October up until the 3rd of November.
My first step of this project was creating flyers that I hung up in the park near my house and passed out to my neighbors. I also texted family and friends to see if they were interested in donating. All advertisement/donations
Two non traditional methods of program funding that the XYZ Corporation can incorporate are fundraising dinners and an annual music festival. Both of these fundraising methods have the potential to raise thousands of dollars for the organization. Planning these events will be time consuming and somewhat costly, the XYZ Corporation will seek to get as much donated materials and volunteer time as possible to keep costs of the fundraising events at a minimum. The dinner will incorporate a cost per plate that is affordable yet will maximize fundraising potential. The music festival will bring publicity and positive attention to the organization as well as maximize fundraising capabilities.
Some ideas regarding fundraisers is that we have two fundraisers per semester, one at the end of August and another at the end of October. Each sport can engage in friendly competition to see who can raise the most for the athletic program. For example, the fall semester will be football, volleyball, and cheerleaders. In the spring it will be Boys and girls basketball, boys/girls
The first fundraiser that I would like to have is a Summer Kickoff event. This would be at the beginning of the term after school has ended and would be either a pool party, bonfire or camp themed that would kickoff this term and the summer! The next fundraiser would be in the middle of the term and could be a Car Wash or a Chocolate Drive. These would be promoted to members in ONR, our family members, friends and more! The last fundraiser of the term would be something new and innovative. I would like to open the planning of these fundraisers to general members. This way the general members would have a first hand experience in the planning and implementation of a fundraiser. It would have to be exclusive yet fair, so with the help of N’siah, I would create an application and through the application process, we would choose a few members to help. I would oversee the entire process and help the members if they need it but the majority of the planning would be in their hands so they can experience the planning of a fundraiser. Another idea for fundraisers that I had would be a Restaurant Fundraiser where I partner with a restaurant and the funds would go to Beresheit.
I am passionate about social justice, particularly global poverty. In 2015, I, among other students in the Chicago suburbs raised $62,000 to build a dorm in Banteay Meanchey, Cambodia. We learned about the human trafficking situation and lack of education in Cambodia from a Willow Creek staff member who visited Cambodia. Over the course of a calendar year, I attended bi-weekly meetings for project updates and brainstorming with other student leaders. Then, I would bring back these ideas to my classmates and we planned fundraisers that would work well for our school population. My favorite fundraiser when we raised $700 by selling 18-inch pixy stix (sugar sticks). I never could have sold 700 giant sugar sticks on my own, especially in a one-month
Fundraising is a crucial element to being successful in any group, and usually fundraisers are more profitable when they have a unique element. Last year, my color guard team in high school wanted new uniforms. Our old uniforms were falling apart, but instead of just asking the school for the money to purchase the new uniforms, we as a team decided to fundraise for them. As the captain of the team, I decided that we should do a pie in the face contest. At a basketball game, we put out a table with jars on it. Each jar belonged to a member of the color guard team, and if their individual jar reached twenty five dollars, that member would get a pie in the face at the next basketball game. This was a unique, quirky way to raise money and get the
At the moment, the organization is planning a scholarship program where Pink Wishes will send one high school student to college who lives in the D.C. area. To be able to fulfill ore wishes, their non-profit group must be able to raise more
Many students are very split on their opinion on the fundraiser, but as it stands now it is far out of the student’s hands. Senior, Emily Dux a member of National Honor Society, was just as unsure as the rest of the student body.
Before I made the account for the fundraiser, I emailed the website to ask question on how to help raise money for Planned Parenthood and when I received information back it was kind of shocking. Since, I emailed them to ask how I could help they respond back politely, but the shocking part was being told I could not use the name to try and raise money for Planned Parenthood. In result, that makes it a lot hard for me to get people to donate without being able to tell them the topic of my graduation project. In conclusion, I realize that it is really hard to raise money for my graduation project without telling them fullness of what the money is going to which might make it a problem in the end.
Last year I participated in Dressember. A nationwide project to help raise awareness for human trafficking. Each day of December, participants wear a dress to help spread the word that human trafficking is a prevalent issue in today's society. I would like to host a fundraiser to help raise awareness and donate money to ending modern day slavery. Since we live in such a small town, it's hard to make an impact on the rest of the nation but by doing this project we can help make a difference, starting with our small high school. Another idea I have is to host a competition against sports in each season to raise money to donate to a cause of the teams choosing. By doing this, more people will get involved and each of the teams get to show support for a good cause. There’s so much room for myself and others to grow through being a part of such an amazing student body. Starting with making incoming freshman and students that may not have very many friends feel welcome and appreciated and going all the way to trying to make our world a better
Proposal two is the better option because it is more logistically feasible, it appeals to more members of the community, and will most likely raise more money than proposal one. Proposal two is more logistically feasible because it contains more detail regarding the fundraiser, proposal two appeals to more members of the community because not everyone in the community are interested in reading, however, many individuals of the community have parents or adults who have cars and would like them clean, proposal two will most likely raise more money because it will charge about ten dollars per car washed and if the fundraiser washes more than forty cars it will have made four hundred dollars which will go to the
I am sure we have all seen or heard about taffy. What I would think would come to mind to most people when I would say something regarding taffy might be something concerning saltwater taffy. I love saltwater taffy. It seems that it is not in great supply around here. The only place I know of is somewhere like the cracker barrel. Needless to say I never go to cracker barrel, and it is a little more than I feel comfortable spending on candy. So I find myself resorting to a childhood favorite, laffy taffy. It is sold everywhere, and it is very inexpensive. I really started to like it when I played baseball as a kid. After the game I would always try to pump mom or dad for a few cents to stock up. It never made it home. I would somehow eat my entire entire stockpile. Whoever came up with the idea of putting jokes inside the wrapper is a very rich man. I could not help but to try to unwrap one more. The way the jokes where printed on the wrapper was very smart too. They would put one joke half way on the wrapper so it made me want to know the end of the joke, genius really.
If I were to implement this plan I am determined to start by brainstorming ideas for a good fundraiser for example a lemonade stand,
