First and foremost, Canadians and Americans live in very large countries. Two of the bigger countries in the world one might think that the population would be the same in size. Canada does have a huge inhabitants across the nation and is much bigger than other countries. However for having the same size of land mass as The United States, the population of Canada is much smaller per capita. In all of Canada the population is 35.16 million people that currently residing in the country from coast to coast. Not small numbers for Canada, but compared to The United States these numbers make Canada a small young nation. In

Canada and the United States of America are two neighboring countries who besides the border share numerous other key aspects. Though similar in beliefs and culture the two countries are far from alike. Their legal structure particularly the penal system is one of most significant boundaries between Canada and the United States. Though not perfect, it's absolutely clear that Canada has the far more superior legal system.
Lastly, the two countries divide their land in different ways, the United States is divided up into fifty states, while Canada is divided up into ten provinces, or administrative divisions. Of course the two countries both have capitals, but they are in different places and established at different
When thinking of New York City, more often than not, the first things one visualizes is the beautiful skyline, the bright lights, and Times Square. But without a second glance, one might miss one of the important things about the city. New York is the most heavily Dominican populated city in the United States. It’s ironic that the first non-native American to migrate to and reside on what is today New York City, was from Santo Domingo, the capital city of the Dominican Republic. Throughout history, Dominicans have migrated to the US in search of economic opportunity. This is the factor that influences nearly every immigrant group that migrates to the US in history. In the early 1900s, The United States and the Dominican Republic had a very close diplomatic relationship, to the point where the President considered annexation. At one point, the United States completely controlled the Sugar industry, one of the country’s most profitable markets.
For thousands of years, different ancient societies from all over the world have played a part in creating each other. These societies have opened doors to better lives for their citizens to come. As humans have evolved, they have learnt new things from the people before them, and adapted these skills to make everyday life better. One society that has greatly influenced Canada today is the Romans. The Romans were an advanced society for their time. By conquering a substantial amount of land in Europe the citizens of Rome had a wide variety of cultural backgrounds. This meant that Rome’s people learnt different skills from people across Europe. Overtime, these skills that Romans learnt made their way into North America, more specifically Canada.
*Modern Canada is very different from the past. Canada is the second largest country by total area in the world, with ten provinces and three territories. How do you think Canada came to be, with so many differences? Some ask why aren't we part of the United States?
Geographic size of this country is around 3.9 million square miles and its capital is Ottawa .
Canada is part of North America, making up about half of the continent, and covers 9,984,670 km2. Covering that, it's slightly smaller than Europe. It shares a 5,525-mile border with the U.S.(including Alaska), the longest border in the world not patrolled by military forces, and the majority of the people that live in Canada live within 200 miles of the border. Canada and and the U.S. are quite similar, however, the differences between the two countries are quite large. For instance, Canada (along with Australia and New Zealand) is lightly connected with the UK, through the Commonwealth.
Although they bear some superficial similarities, the differences between America and Canada are striking. There are many differences between Canada and the United States such as ethnicity, geography, population, politics, and many more. Of all the differences the focus of this paper will be geography. Geographical differences can be seen through the land of the United States and Canada.
There had been a growing outcry from the public and leaders for something to be done to reduce the increasingly growing number of Japanese immigrants in the West Coast. Subsequent regulations placed on the Japanese in the United States made them aggravated. There was serious trouble brewing between the United States and Japan until the Japanese carried out attacks on Pearl Harbour in December 1941. After the attack on Pearl Harbor there was increased spread of propaganda from the press and local leaders against the people with Japanese roots. There were numerous calls to the Congress and President Roosevelt for removal of the Japanese from the Pacific Coast. On the 19th day of February 1942, President Roosevelt issued the Executive Order Number 9066 (Wheeler, Becker and Glover 244). The Executive Order authorized the evacuation of the Issei and Missei. About 120000 individuals of Japanese ancestry, both citizens and non-citizens were evacuated from the West Coast in what Lt. General John DeWitt said was compelled by “military necessity” (Wheeler, Becker and Glover 244). The most convincing and reliable evidence reveals that the removal and incarceration of Japanese Americans after Pearl Harbor did not meet the “clear and present danger” test. I do not agree with the Supreme Court’s decision.
Canada is one of two countries located in North America and is the second largest country in the world. It is situated just north of the United States and constitutes the northern part of the country, excluding Alaska. Over the years Canada's culture has been influenced by European culture and traditions, mainly that of the French and British. Canadian culture has also been influenced by the countries' first people, the Aboriginals, as well as the newer immigrated population (Wikipedia, 2007). Canada consists of ten provinces and three northern territories, almost all of which are "rich in land and natural resources" (Bailey, par. 2). Canada is often referred to as a mosaic community because there is such a wide variety
When looking at the history between the United States and Latin America, you see many interactions between them, all that aided the relationship that they have today. Despite that the United States and Latin America are in the same part of the world, the beliefs in which they govern may differ. This difference has often been seen playing a major role in the disputes that have occurred in past. The United States and Latin America have faced many social, economical and governing barriers in forming a strong and positive relationship in the early twentieth century, this is due to the differences that the two had between cultures and the constant demand for power. However, the two countries have found ways to meet in the middle of their cultural differences, to form an equally fair relationship.
Like Athens and Sparta, were the United States and China drawn into a war neither power wanted because of their alliances?
Conflict over energy resources—and the wealth and power they create—has become an increasingly prominent feature for geopolitics particularly in the Middle East . The discovery of oil in the late nineteenth century added a dimension to the region as major outside states powers employed military force to protect their newly acquired interests in the Middle East. The U.S.’s efforts to secure the flow of oil have led to ever increasing involvement in the Middle East region’s political affairs and ongoing power struggles. By the end of the twentieth century, safeguarding the flow of oil from the Persian Gulf had become one of the most important functions of the U.S. military establishment. The close relationship between the United States and the Saudi royal family was formed in the final months of World War II, when U.S. leaders sought to ensure preferential access to Saudi petroleum. The U.S. link with Saudi Arabia and other countries in the region has demonstrated to be greatly beneficial to both parties, yet it has also led to ever deepening U.S. involvement in regional politics.
The Bahamas being from the Caribbean islands has a strict government and law enforcement along with their corrections system. Besides them having a different type of government they still have certain features that can be compared to the United States of America. Not all rights are being guaranteed to everyone the way they should be. The Bahamas has stronger regulations on certain things that other countries do not have. They respect the right of foreign people when they are arrested. They join another country to better the conditions of those in prison. Both the Bahamas, and the United States of America are trying to fight against a big problem that is currently happening. Besides it being a different country there are similarities with it, and perhaps even offer suggestions to improve their systems. Every country should have the goal to serve and protect their people, as well as to provide them the same law equality as everyone else.
