She married a Canadian filmmaker, Jean-Daniel Lafond, and adopted Marie-Éden from Jacmel.

Neuroblastoma is “a life threatening cancer that affects the nervous system (Make-A-Wish 2012).” Sam always has this passion for baseball and his wish was for a baseball field to be built in his backyard, which would allow him to play with his friends whenever he wanted. Make-A-Wish knew that this was his one true wish, so they asked help from volunteers and donors to make his wish come true. His earliest childhood experience was in pre-school when he and another little girl threw apple cores into the toilet of there daycare and clogged it and ended up in trouble. Throughout his childhood Logan (Tachnechdorus) attained advantageous values and social etiquette. One particular influential ally was a Quaker identified as James Logan who not only provided Tachnechdorus with his name but also educated him until he befriended the future war leader . However, it was after one unprovoked fatal incident involving other settlers that Logan, who once considered the white people as his allies, quickly changed his opinion of them. In the words of John Muir- “When one tugs at a single thing in nature, he finds it attached to the rest of the world.” When one finds his way to discover something new he will always be able to revert back to things that already exist in this world and i think that this is what John Muir meant when he said this, everything that everyone says then it can all lead right back to the rest of the world. Before getting aboard the DJ Angus, I did not expect anything from the cruise. I expected to go abroad, do some tests on the water and come out with some tests and a few knowledge about the Great Lakes. After the cruise had finished, I felt like I had a more understanding on why tests were done, what goes on in the Great Lakes and how different Lake Michigan is from the other bodies of water that are in Michigan, such as Grand Haven and Spring Lake. The time on the DJ Angus broadened my knowledge about why tests are performed, the results that are made during the trip. and the differences in each body of water.
