It was 1021 AD when Ibn Al- Haytham first created the one thing that captures the moment. The first name of the camera was a camera obscura. It started as a room sized camera that had room for 1 or more people. It has changed over many generations like from daguerreotypes, calotypes, film, and finally the digital camera. The first cameras were designed in ancient chinese and ancient greeks.
The first camera image was taken by Nicephore Niepce in 1816 but it turned black after being exposed to light for too long. After Niepce died his friend made the first image that stayed 23 years later. The camera was developed so many people could capture events.

It has captured many important events. Some being JFK’s funeral, a picture of the titanic before it sunk, a german soldier passing a flower through a wall before it was torn down, and many more. Also, many people take pleasure in taking pictures and they create many great memories for people.
Although there are many positive outcomes of a camera there are also negatives outcomes. Especially in the first camera. To start, it wasn’t until 1816 that a picture was actually created. So even though there was a camera the pictures rarely stuck or stayed. Also, many people aren’t using cameras anymore people just use their phone so many camera sales have dropped.
I think the positive outweighs the negative because there is a lot of good that comes from a cameras. To start, it captures much of America’s History. It also captures family memories that people cherish and save forever. I think that in the future the camera will stay around because many photographers still use a camera not a phone or
Photography is a word derived from the Greek words photos light and to draw. A scientist called Sir John F.W. Herschel, which was in 1839, first used the word. It was a method which was all about recording images by using light or radiation on a sensitive material. The first known camera was created by Alhazen also known as who lived around 100AD he invented the first pinhole camera this camera was used to capture the movement of the sun. Photography was explained to be the science and art of documenting photographs by capturing light on a light sensitive material which included film or an electronic sensor. Light could be reflected from objects which could expose a chemical or electronic material during a timed exposure which is typically used through a camera which can store the information chemically or electronically. The first photograph was take in 1827 taken by Joseph Nicephore Niepce who made the first photograph
means "writing or drawing with light." In ancient times, the first uses of a camera were camera obscuras used to form images on walls in darkened room. The image was formed from a pinhole. The brightness and clarity was improved by enlarging that hole and inserting a telescope lens. In 1727, Professor J. Schulze mixes chalk, nitric acid and accidentally creates the first photosensitive compound. Photographer, Nicéphore Niépce, combined the camera obscura and the photosensitive compound. He is credited by most as the inventor of photography and a pioneer of
Throughout history newspapers have been dominant. They have informed citizens about events taking place throughout the world and allowed us to see the world in many different ways. The emergence of photography in the 1920s sparked the invention of photojournalism. This created; credibility, new celebrities, and additional corporate competition.
The invention of the camera helped everybody that could afford one. The invention of the camera helped to improve many different aspects of people's lives. From the work of proof to just wanting to have memories, the camera was widely popular and in demand. People could finally have evidence or proof, not only for important events, but for everything in life. It enabled regular people to establish their moments and share it with others, making it possible for another manner of documentation.
Photographs have been circling the world for years now . There are many different types of cameras, but only some have changed and revolutionized the world. The history behind them and the history it has captured throughout the years has impacted the world in numerous ways. It is very important to know how certain things like lighting and angle affect the outcome of photographs. To be able to capture a perfect photograph one will have to understand how lighting , angle , third rule affect a photograph. Not only are there different types of ways to take photographs but different types of photography.
As mankind rapidly evolved recording events became harder. Early history is only able to be pictured with using our imagination. Often times historians often clash about what the world looked like. Ancient civilizations from the Mayans and Aztecs have never been seen while they were in their pristine condition. The world is left with written descriptions and ruins not only of the cities themselves, but also the tools used. After the camera was invented in the early 1800s, events were more frequently recorded and it was clear what tools and cities looked like before modern-day. Photography has undoubtedly altered how we document events, created new job openings, and will give generations to come amazing art and show defining moments from each generation. Photography has helped evolve the world by creating new jobs and revolutionizing how events are documented.
It was invented by George Eastman and you can capture images and videos that could last a lifetime with a camera. For most Americans cherishing memories is crucial to them. And the camera helps you do just that. You could take a picture on April 8th, 2003 and come back to it years later. The camera is not only useful for cherishing memories. You can use it for education, learning about our history, and keeping up with what's going on in our society. Without cameras we wouldn't be able to know major events that happened in the past. For example, imagine if there were no pictures of the Holocaust, would as many people believe it happened? The camera was important in industrialization because people could now have faster way to capture significant moments in history without drawing or painting them. Cameras are still a big part of our society today. They play big role in entertainment. Also, because of cameras we can see what's happening in other parts of the world. Overall the uses for a camera will always be vital in our current
The person that invented the camera was sir john F.W. Then in 1840 the first american camra was made by alexander wolcott for his camera. 1859 14 years later! Then panoramic camera by thomas sutton.
Photographs were permanently created using several techniques from different photographers. Joseph Nicephore Niepce made the first photographic image with a
In 1888, George Eastman made the first light and portable camera under the company name Kodak (Graham 28). These cameras gave people the ability to take a photo almost anywhere. The cameras had to be sent back to the factory so the photographs could be printed. Twenty years after Kodak’s first camera, they produced an improved camera, called “Brownie”. The Brownie was simple to use, making the art of photography boom. Flash cameras did not appear until the 1930s, letting people take pictures in areas with dim or little lighting. In 1947, Edwin Land invented the instant camera. Land got the idea after his daughter asked to see her picture after he took her photo. The next step in improving the camera was by making it digital, which was done in 1975 by a Kodak employee. As the camera gets smaller and simpler to use, the quality of the photographs it produces gets better.
J. Schulze mixed chalk, nitric acid, and silver in a flask, and then noticed how the mixture darkened on the side exposed to the most light, accidentally creating the first photographic compound. Later, in 1800, Thomas Wedgewood made what he called “sun pictures” by placing objects on a piece of leather treated with silver nitrate, which were the first photographs, although they faded and deteriorated if exposed to much light. In 1816, Nicéphore Niépce combined the photosensitive paper with the camera obscura, which after multiple tries and multiple years, created a permanent image on the paper. In 1834, Henry Fox Talbot created a permanent image using paper soaked in silver chloride and fixed with a salt solution, which was an image negative. Talbot could make a positive image by contact printing the image onto another sheet of paper . There were many advancements to the photosensitive paper, as it started to be explored by more and more scientists and other people. Who has contributed to the modern camera from the 1850’s to the present day?
Two figures in particular were key to its development – Frenchman Louise Daguerre and British inventor William Henry Fox Talbot. The first permanent photographs were produced in the 1820s by Joseph Nicephore Niepce – a Fench inventor – using pewter and petroleum. He then started experimenting with silver compounds, and teamed up with Daguerre.
No matter who a person thinks invented the motion picture camera, whether it was Louis Lumiere or Thomas Edison, I'm sure they had no idea what it would become at the turn of the century. Motion pictures, has become an entertainment medium like no other. From Fred Ott's Sneeze to Psycho to Being John Malkovich, the evolution from moving pictures to a pure art form has been quite amazing. Different steps in filming techniques define eras in one of the most amazing ideas that was ever composed. Silent to Sound. Short to long. Black and white to color. Analog to Digital. All were important marks in the History of Motion Pictures. "It's different than other arts. It had to be invented"
“Cameras have evolved from a pinhole up to the latest and accessible SLRs and DSLRs. Underwater, disposable and film and digital cameras were also invented. The increasing knowledge of people to photography and cameras contributed a lot in order to make more innovations through the years. Therefore, taking photographs, recording images and moments, and sharing the art form became easy and fast” (Art of the Masses). Despite the fact that photography was intended solely for the
Since its nineteenth century beginning, photography has impacted the world in these ways: photography has impacted social issues, like the conditions of third world countries, photography allows people to express themselves as a form of art, photography also influences our opinions on matters such as war. “the art or process of producing images by the action of radiant energy and especially light on a sensitive surface (as film or an optical sensor).” (Merriam-Webster)
