“We’ve been here for hours!” cried John.
“Stop your complaining, you were the one that got us stuck in this mess in the first place!” Bill Hickok scolded.
Calamity Jane turned around and yelled at both, “Will you two stop it! I can’t think with you two at each other’s throats. Besides it’s no one’s fault, we got in here together and we will get out together.”
“Calamity Jane was born on May 1st, 1852 in Princeton, Missouri” (Biography.comeditors). “Calamity was a rough character people said, with her many manly features” (Hein). “She was tough and well respected, no one ever messed with her” (nwhm).
“So how are we going to get out of this mess?” asked Bill Hickok.
“I don’t know.” said John.
“I didn’t ask you kid!” Yelled Bill Hickok.

“ Calamity! Calamity! Joshua Wilde is robbin’ the bank! Hurry we need you!” cried the Sheriff. Calamity jumped out of her seat , grabbed her gun and headed out the door towards the robbery. She rode over as fast as she could towards the bank. As she got closer she saw Wilde holding people hostage by gun point.
“Put your gun down!” yelled Calamity as she got off her horse and walked towards Joshua wilde.
“No!” exclaimed Wilde. “Back off!” he yelled.
He drew out his gun, and quickly Calamity did too and shot the gun out of his hand. He tried to grab his knife from his pocket but before he knew it, his hands were behind his back and he was at the door of the sheriff 's office.
“Calamity, I want to thank you for you service in this town.” Said the sheriff.
“Oh it 's nothin’, I 'm glad I could help.” said Calamity.
She got on her way, but as she was walking, Joshua Wilde yelled at her saying, “Better watch your back, because you’re next!”
Calamity kept on walking like it didn’t bother her, but it did.
“He said the same thing that was written on the letter.” she thought.
“Well isn’t Calamity Jane. It’s been a while hasn’t it?” said Bill Hickok.
“Yes it has been,” Calamity answered. “
Hey Bill, we’ve been friends for a while. Do you think you can help me figure out something?” asked Calamity.
“ I guess I could, but I wouldn’t be much help.” said Bill.
Calamity showed the letter to Bill. He took the letter and started to read it. He read it over and over again
The following report reviews the book, “Courting Disaster: How the Supreme Court is Usurping the Power of Congress and the People” By Pat Robertson. The writing takes a hard look at the recent history and current climate within the United States Supreme Court. A great deal of the author’s work centers on the decisions that have taken place during Chief William Rehnquist’s time leading the highest court in the nation. Rehnquist was chief Justice during the infamous Bush v. Gore decision that sided with President George W. Bush resulting in Al Gore losing the election. The book also examines the political machine that determines whether a justice nominee will be appointed and in light of this process, how political control of the legislature

As she grew up, Calamity Jane had a fondness for the outdoors and for horses. Through the journey to Montana, she and her family made in search of gold, Calamity Jane, herself once stated, “my time was spent in hunting along with the men when there was excitement and adventures to be had. By the time we reached Virginia City I was considered a remarkable good shot and a fearless rider for a girl of my age.” A few years later, she began working at Fort Russell as an army scout. During the Indian Wars, while working at Fort Russell, she rescued Captain Egan, and through her bravery, Captain Egan dubbed her “Calamity Jane.”
"There's moments that will always stick in your head -- that one and something that happened a few hours before them, when a sheriff's deputy had to go and rescue a guy from a flooded car," he said. "Just the terror on the gentleman's face who was being rescued and just how dedicated our law enforcement is, just doing what they can to save
In chapter 3, The Old Catastrophe, Alison Bechdel makes one literary reference that I think works wonderfully in relating to her father. She uses the works of F. Scott Fitzgerald's novel The Great Gatsby. Alison's father sought to relate his life to Gatsby's. Gatsby and Bruce try to live their lives with the fact that they are hiding their true selves and live in a world of lies. The Great Gatsby is referenced for the fact Bruce uses objects to make their lives look more beautiful than what it really was. He is constantly working on the old house making upgrades and using restored furniture that cannot really be used as furniture, its purpose is of aesthetics. The constant references allowed me to understand more greatly about Alison's father. Having read The Great Gatsby multiple times, helps me to see how Bruce could relate to Gatsby.

John-Manuel Andriote starts Victory Deferred by establishing the historical context from which the gay community arose from. A long history of discrimination both social and political had caused many homosexuals to congregate for protective communities, like in San Francisco and New York. These areas were often referred to as “gay ghettos” and served as safe havens for the gay men who migrated to them. Post Stonewall gays had formed an “army of lovers” who were out and proud activist for the community. These early protests for gay rights marked the early instances of gays uniting to act as a community, instead of individuals. It was these same groups who protested the American Psychiatric Association to remove homosexuality as a type of mental
Martha Jane Cannary also known as “Calamity Jane” (www.thoughtco.com) or “The White Devil of Yellowstone” (www.legendsofamerica) was born in Princeton, Missouri, in 1852. Though she later claimed Illinois and Wyoming. She was one of five children born to Robert and Charlotte Cannary. Who in 1866-1867 were captured by indians and killed (www.thoughtco.com).
American Leader Martin Luther King Jr. once said, “An individual has not started living until he can rise above the narrow confines of his individualistic concerns to the broader concerns of all humanity” (Martin). Luther King believed that in order for us humans to have a meaningful live we must put aside our personal problems and care about the problems of humanity as a whole. The earthquake of Oakland, California in 1989 is a true example of this quote. As the sirens of ambulances roared through the abolished city thousands of civilians gathered together, taking risks, to help those that were in the borderline of life and death. Learned helplessness,
In Greek the word “tragedy” means “goat song”, but the connection between tragedy and goat song is obscure. Perhaps a goat was the prize at some sort of early singing contest in Greece, or perhaps the dancers wore goat skins. One medieval writer ingeniously suggested that tragedy is called goat song because it begins prosperously, as a goat is abundantly hairy in front, and ends wretchedly, as a goat is bare in the rear. Dante Alighieri, whose Divine Comedy proves him to be the greatest poet of the Middle Ages, offered the engaging idea that tragedy is so called because its story is unpleasant and smelly as a goat.
Trouble didn’t even begin to cover it. If you were in trouble, you waited in the playroom at home for Calum to come and punish you. If you were absolutely, positively fucked, Calum would call you down to the gangs clubhouse and deal with you right away. Which is exactly where you’ve found yourself, walking straight into the devils lair.
When I read this story, I thought she will feel very angry for the service. But when I read this story all, I thought “She is a bad people.”. Because it is bad to change directions just I am a high people. And do something of the service is could be people let go damages. Those are the reason why we couldn’t do something of the service... When I am a daughter of the high people, I wiil say “Don’t give some nuts like that.”Because when I shout, It will be have a damage to the people. Of this story, many people have damages of that woman. I wish the daughter will not do any bad things it will have any damages.
To some heroism might mean a exhibiting an act of high purpose, doing something worth honoring or noble, but in the case of Othello, by William Shakespeare, the term heroism has a completely different meaning. In Othello, heroism is to have the ability to play different roles and say things to woo, convince, persuade, overwhelm, and manipulate others. Many of the characters in the play become the victims or as Marcia Macaulay, who wrote the literary criticism, “When Chaos is Come Again: Narrative and Narrative Analysis In Othello,” calls them the puppets of this character.
