He somehow put everyone in a trance. A trance that caused people to coo at him and swarm to him as if people were bees and he was honey. Evilyn seemed to be the only person who would pay attention and interact with Caitlyn. Although Caitlyn was used to being alone Evilyn did not fulfill the attention and friendship Caitlyn needed. Caitlyn began to act out, especially toward authority, such as teachers at school. It started off small, hiding Mr. Teel’s possessions, making funny faces behind his back, erasing his quotes of the day. It gained Caitlyn the much-needed attention she lacked. Although the attention she gained helped, the attention was not what she had been seeking at home. With the help of Evilyn, the two girls began to demolish and deface school property with hopes of being sent to the office and calling parents. All went according to plan, somewhere in the act Evilyn disappeared leaving all the blame on Caitlyn. Once Caitlyn’s parents arrived she immediately noticed Abel was brought to the school alongside her parents. While her parents had a short talk with the principle, the adults concluded Caitlyn would be taken home for the day and would return to school the following week. Following the decision, the adults began to socialize and speak of all things concerning

Many people don’t have the luxuries we take for granted. A loving family, a steady home, all of these things are accepted as a right, not a privilege; but what do you say to those who don’t have all of the trappings of a “normal life”? The book The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater focuses on the lives of two orphans, Sean Kendrick and Kate (Puck) Connolly, who had their parents and futures torn away from them by the very creatures they need to thrive. They then face one adverse situation after another until they find the resolve within themselves to succeed. They may have succeeded, but the question remains, can the psychological impact of being orphaned be overcome in order to succeed?

Although with Jake, was his friend Nathan who was with him on Friday night. Jake is tall, skinny, and brunette and wants justice for his best friend. While the officers were questioning the boys, Anna’s dad walked in. Mr. Perry is a stern looking man that has had a bright reputation throughout Troy. “Where is my daughter?” he asked the secretary. She replied, “Sir, we just called her out of class.” Mr. Perry said, “I can’t believe I’m here for something my daughter didn’t do!” The second officer then pulled Mr. Perry into his office to look at the tapes. One of the challenges of growing up is loneliness. As a small child living in Brooklyn Francie had no friends her age, the kids in her neighborhood that would have been candidates for friends either found her too quiet or shunned her for being different. "So
Jealousy. It can take over us. It can even make us act in ways that hurt people. In Queens of Geek, by Jen Wilde Charlie is the first Chinese Australian actress to be in an American movie and to co-star with Reese Ryan- but that took a turn for the worst and now Charlie despises Reese and she says some things and he says things back to her. However, a similar text Wonder by R.J. Palacio. Julian says and does things to August. Because he thinks that August will take everything from him, and he will have nothing to thrive off of at school.
Human beings have the weakness to get jealous and envy others lives. No matter how much we try to ignore it, we want what we don't have. We secretly desire this crude jealousy passionately. For example, in the Crucible, Abigail envys John Procter. She is extremely jealous of Elizabeth that she tries to cast a spell to kill her.
Envy is a sin that poisons the sinner and is self-destructive in nature. The common perception of envy is that it is an emotion that, much like jealousy, that comes from a desire to possess something that someone else has. However, envy goes a step further and causes an individual to not only desire what someone else has, but to also wish that the other person did not have it at all. Spenser uses the conventional view of envy stated above in conjunction with some unconventional imagery in order to elaborate on the nature and implications of being an envious person. In doing this Spenser is able to teach to reader an aspect of envy that they may not already know or understand. In his portrayal of envy in book one of The Faerie Queene, Spenser is trying to convey to his readers that people who are envious are trapped in and endless cycle of envy that leads to nothing but unhappiness and misery. Spenser’s interpretation of envy, like the other deadly sins in the house of pride, can be broken down into 4 images: the animal that he rides, his appearance, how he behaves, and the ailment he has. This paper will use the first three of these images to show how Spenser’s depiction of Envy is meant to teach the reader that the sin of envy can only lead to perpetual unhappiness and misery.
Experiencing further unstable environments, these children are forced to move from one foster home to another. They rarely develop meaningful relationships and constantly endure lack of care and protection by adults. Sabreen, another gifted student, was able to excel in school despite her unstable environments. She, too, became a ward of the county battling to find a stable home, constantly being placed in unstable environments, environments that do not encourage any achievement. When her situation becomes untenable, she goes AWOL, like Olivia, refusing to return to county supervision. Corwin masterfully frames the problem that wards, like Olivia and Sabreen, face when they feel that going back into the system is not an option. The additional struggles can be seen through Olivia and Sabreen accepting jobs with long hours in order to make enough to pay their bills. The responsibility on taking care of themselves financially detracts from their studies, which quickly can become a vicious, never-ending cycle.
There are many different emotions like sadness, happiness, and joyfulness just to name a few that people can experience. One of the most powerful and sometimes dangerous emotions is Jealousy. Jealousy is a powerful emotion that most people experience at some point in their life. However, not everyone is affected in the same way. Some people are filled with insecurity. While others are filled with fear. Most people experience anger. In William Shakespeare’s Othello the audience learns through the characterization of Othello and Iago, the symbolism of the handkerchief, and through Othello denying that he is jealous we learn that jealousy can make people behave irrationally in certain circumstances.
When a person first thinks of murder, envy probably is not their second thought, but it should be their third. Statistically speaking, jealousy ranks number three in the most common motives for manslaughter. So although it may seem like a simple enough emotion, many feelings coincide. To most, it is a stressful and unwanted inner conflict that can cause or further aggravate thoughts of insecurity and inadequacy. Also, apparently, violence-inducing rage.
Envy is a feeling that has been around the society for a long time; therefore, it has been discussed by religions and psychologist throughout the history. “For where envying and strife [is], there [is]
