Have you ever heard of a Burmese Python? The Burmese python is a magnificent and powerful animal. These snakes do not have venom, but they catch their prey and squeeze very hard. The Burmese python is twenty-three feet and can weigh up to two hundred pounds. Chemical receptors in their tongues and heat sensors along the jaws compensate for their poor eyesight and allow them to hunt in the dark. To kill their pray, they first grasp it with their back-curving teeth. When the animal tries to pull away, the snake’s teeth only sink down further. These snakes are very, very dangerous. They have made changes in local animals, people, and the Everglades. This is why the Python Challenge occurred.

We must do a better job of educating people about the effect their careless have on ecosystems here in Florida and around the world. Many people like snakes because of their beautiful skin, but their rapid growth rate, and their generally docile disposition is not a thing to like about. In source four, the text states that an exotic pet dealer’s warehouse that housed nearly nine hundred Burmese pythons was destroyed, and many of its pythons escaped. As I conclude, the Burmese pythons has effected local animals, people, and the Florida Everglades. In conclusion, these pythons can be very dangerous. Even though they do not have venom, they squeeze and swallow animal’s whole. The Florida Everglades is a very dangerous place to be right now. Tens of thousands of Burmese pythons are estimated to be living in the Everglades, where they thrive in the warm, humid climate. People can tell each other to go shoot some snakes or something,
