Originally native to the south tropics of eastern Asia, Burmese python is one of many large snakes in the world with a length between 19 and 23 feet and weights around 200 pounds. In the Everglades, the largest python found was 16 feet long and weighed 152 pounds. With a light colored pale belly and dark brown blotches, Burmese python grow larger and heavier than any snake in Florida compares to the indigo snake can grow to 8.5 feet. (McCleery, 2015)
