Bullying is such a difficult topic to grab a hold of. Children may experience bullying and not say it to their parents. Parents may suspect something wrong with their children but don’t know how to pro[per address the issue. I was bullied a lot. I remember being smashed against a locker in 7th grade. My brother was bullied during this middle school and high school years. Yet, my brother learned martial arts as a way to defense. However, I was more of an resorted in listening to music and keep all my emotions to myself. I learned over the years the power of speaking out and having a great support system.
The article the Bullying and Suicide from the Psychiatric times made me think of bullies quite different. When I was younger I would always
In recent years, we have heard more and more about bullying and the alarming effects it has on our society. Bullying has been an issue for children in schools for years. Australia did a study showing that one in four children are bullied while in school. It has shown that children that have suffered being bullied have also suffered poor mental health compared to other children. Another research was shown that children that were bullied over time were actually suffering in long term as mentally unfit. Many researchers have conducted that most parents are not even aware that their child is being bullied at school. The main reasoning behind this problem is because parents are not in the schools everyday like the teacher is watching every move they make. Most of the responses of this issue have to come from the teachers or the child. Most children do not even
Do you feel that your child is safe when they go to school in the morning? Are you aware that 90% of 4th through 8th graders report being victims of bullying? Every 30 minutes a teenager attempts suicide due to bullying in the United States (“Facts About Bullying”). Cyberbullying and bullying in schools needs to be taken more seriously because it can cause health problems, academic issues, and suicidal thoughts and action.
I don't know anyone personally who has been bullied but by all the stories that i have heard i believe have a good amount of information on how it can hurt that person being victimized. There are many things that i learned about bullying and what it can do to someone or people around them. The main thing i learned about bullying is that your not the problem its the bully that is going through something and takes it out on someone else. Another thing is that by you bullying on someone else you can make that person hard to go to places where they know you are going be present at, just to avoid you (for example school). Another reason is that you can cause so much pain to the victim and their family. Lastly if you take the bullying to extreme levels you can cause that person to take their live and cause the family and friends pain. If you are caught bullying someone else you can be arrested. These are things that i learned about bullying. By me learning all of this about bullying it makes me think on how i would never have the guts to bully someone because you don't know what they are going through already and you're just adding to it. Knowing you could be the reason that someone takes their life or know you could be the one to cause a family pain would drive me crazy. I know that no parent wants to go through something like that because i know my parents or any other parent would want to know that there child

Bullying is a problem in today’s society that occurs regularly among youth. It should be addressed because of the negative impact it has on the victim. It can change their life and change the way they act towards other people. I am against bullying, so therefore, in this essay, I will discuss the effects it has on people in terms of long-term effects, mental health, and suicide.
Bullying is a worldwide problem that can be linked to teen suicide. The third leading cause of death in youth is suicide, which results in nearly 4,400 deaths per year (Centers for Disease Control, 2012). At least half of these deaths are caused by bullying. Although bullying is still seen by many to be a normal part of growing up, it is a severe problem that leads to many negative effects, including suicide. Unfortunately, there is not a definitive solution to this problem. However, there are multiple ways to help teens who are contemplating suicide due to bullying: seeking immediate medical help, encouraging teens to talk, parents keeping communication open, and by parents communicating with school authorities.
Kids hurt others and they don’t even realize what bad things they do. Teens think that bullying is just a funny game when it really does hurt people. There are all kinds of victims of bullying and here are some of them. “All four of September’s bullying-related suicides involved young people who were either out of the closet or were assumed gay” [Cloud page 3]. This is important because the kinds that are bullied possibly go through depression. The people that are around them everyday might not notice what they are going through because they might not approve of what they like . People that get picked on have a better chance of hurting themselves than others do. Young people that are messed with on the internet get easily hurt [Kaplan
In the past years there has been a lot of bullying and suicide attempts. I think people need to come out and tell people how they feel and maybe it will help them think more about what they all got in life to live for. Bullies also need to know that it isn’t right to be mean to people, because you never know what kind of story that person has.
In recent years, a series of bullying-related suicides in the US and across the globe have drawn attention to the connection between bullying and suicide. Though too many adults still see bullying as “just part of being a kid,”
When I was in middle school I was bullied. No one should ever have to go through what I went through as a young middle school child. It can cause a lot of damage to one’s self esteem, and it can cause health problems down the road. Now that I have children of my own, I want to make sure they know that they do not have to go through what I went through growing up and being bullied. I try to make sure that my children know there are ways to deal with a bully. And I try to help my children with recognizing if you are the victim of a bully. There are several ways that a person can be bullied. I had people calling me names, trying to fight me, and trying to push me down several flights of stairs.
Some people believe that bullying is only seen on television or in the movies but it is a real life issue that is seen and experienced by many every day. People of all ages, races, cultures and backgrounds are affected. There are some who are embarrassed to report bullying but it occurs every day, everywhere. It is important to learn about and understand what causes people to be bullies, as well as understand the effects that being bullied can have on a person. It is important for people to understand all sides of bullying, from the signs of someone being bullied to what you can do to prevent it.
Many people do not realize how serious bullying has become. If you look at statistics suicides due to bullying have increased over just a few short years. This has become a very big problem for not only the victim but the bully as well as it affect both of them. School bullying is mentally destructive to not only the victims, but bullies because of the harmful words, harassment, and physical violence involved as well as the consequences for the bully.
Bullying is known as aggressive behavior towards someone, there are three types of bullying, verbal, social, and physical bullying (Capeless). Cyberbullying is another type of bullying, which is when people bully others on social media (“Prevent Bullying”). “Bullying is the most common form of violence” (Capeless). Bullies can be found anywhere, such as school, online, or any type of social environment (“Stand Up To Bullying”). If individuals start to see signs of bullying it should be prevented before it begins and becomes worse than it should be. Whenever people see someone being bullied there is always a way to prevent it, such as reporting it or talking to someone about it (“Prevent Bullying”). Verbal abuse is usually constant, but physical abuse can be even worse by middle school and then weaken or go away by high school. “72% of teens report “at least one incident”of bullying online (name calling, insults via IM or social networking sites)” (Capeless). If there is a parent and their child is being bullied, they need to try and help in any way they can. It may be hard at times, but people can somehow prevent it from happening by just being there for them or talking to them about it (Dorothy 233). People can also come together with their community and try to stop bullying from happening by communicating with others and coming up with a plan (“Prevent Bullying”). How would you feel if you or someone close to you was being
